Loved By a Vampire King-Chapter 605: Forbidden Love Tastes Sweet (Jasmine & Ralph - Part 2)
" What is this place? Why did you bring me here?"
Jasmine asked suspiciously as Ralph guided her to a strange place in his realm. She had been visiting back and forth for the sake of the ritual which could give her child. Right now, Ralph was leading her into a space in which fires were held around. Her curious eyes watched the surroundings with interest but except for the fire, she didn’t find anything exclusive.
Ralph walked, guided her way until he stopped right in front of a hanging nest. In comparison with bird nests, it was far bigger and longer. Jasmine noticed that there were a few more nests behind this one. All of them looked like they had been put in here to get warmed up by the fires. This place looked extremely creepy and awkward to her.
Ralph held the first nest affectionately, not using any strength as if he was afraid of breaking it apart. He turned around to tell her, his eyes guiding down to her stomach,
" Here it is, our another son! We produce demon soldiers in this way too, Jas."
He thought that ’Jasmine’ was a pretty big name to pronounce. So, he gave her this nickname without taking her permission. Jasmine asked him to stop calling her ’Jas’ many times but this demon king never listened to anyone. It pleased him to see how irritated she looked each time he called her by her nickname.
Jasmine’s face stiffened before correcting his word,
" Your.. your child only....He isn’t even in my womb!"
She tried to justify the fact that the other child had nothing to do with her. She just fulfilled her commitment and wanted to be acknowledged by the only son that she had in her womb right now. The ritual was successful and she was blessed with a baby boy. Not one exactly, it was two according to the promises that she made to the demon king.
Ralph didn’t say anything to rebuke her today. However, his eyes told the opposite. He wished that Jasmine would show a little bit of interest to his son who was cultivating inside the magical womb. Ralph whispered, stroking the magical womb gently in where his son was growing,
" Right..my son.."
Jasmine forgot about everything else and said excitedly, stroking her womb,
" Drop me to the castle then! I can’t wait to tell Oscar that I am finally pregnant. He would be heeded over heels in happiness."
Ralph pursed his lips without saying anything. However, his face hardened to think how someone else will cheer for his child today. But he was a demon without heart. Why did he care about her and her relationship with her husband so much?
That night, Jasmine went back to the castle secretly and waited for Oscar anxiously. She wanted to tell him first that she was finally pregnant and his heir was on the way. After today, no one would call him a powerless, weak prince of the dragon kingdom.
However, after waiting for several hours, Oscar didn’t show up and Jasmine fell asleep on her king sized bed. During her sleep, she started groaning in pain. A hot sweat formed on her forehead and she felt pain in her stomach as if something hot was running back and forth into her stomach painfully. She thrashed against the bed, wailing and crying lowly in pain. She tried to get up and get some water to drink but her body was already giving up.
" DON’T MOVE!!", she was startled to hear a deep voice all of a sudden. Turning her head around, she saw Ralph standing. Without a word, he walked over to get a glass of water for her, anxiety marring on her features.
Jasmine muttered, looking around anxiously to check out if someone saw them together,
" What.. what the hell..are you doing..here...you.."
Ralph replied with a straight face, giving her the glass to drink,
" Drink! No one is going to see us together. Relax!"
Jasmine finished the water in a gulp and snapped at him, raising her tone a little,
" Why did you come here? Don’t you know that my husband can enter any time? Get out before he comes and see you!"
Ralph’s face hardened further in rage. No one ever had the audacity to tell him ’Get out’ but this woman.. Forget it..She was already facing extreme pain.
Ignoring her attitude, he sat next to her, spoke softly as his eyes stared at her womb,
" You are carrying a demon baby. Things would be different from your normal pregnancy. You are in pain because the baby can’t feel any demonic power nearby and becomes restless. He can grow the best only if he is in contact with the demonic power. Things like this will continue to happen until you finally give birth."
Jasmine winced in pain, her voice lacking power as he asked him, murmuring weakly,
" How..how can I stop this.. It’s too painful..for me.."
Ralph’s brows knit together tightly in concern. He couldn’t believe that she was willing to endure so much because of a child. Letting out a helpless sigh, he gave her his hands and said softly,
" Keep holding my hands!! My powers will pass to him through you! Your pain will reduce as well."
Jasmine held his hands without thinking too much. Worry flashed across her face when she realized the issues now. Pursing her lips together, she asked in an anxious voice,
" Does it mean that.. I will have to call you every time I am in pain?"
Ralph nodded his head slowly and added holding her hands tighter that felt so warm and soft,
" Apparently yes! Besides, you need to keep visiting my realm every now and then. It’s difficult for your baby to survive here without any demonic powers. You need to stay more and more among the demons."
Jasmine’s face fell upon hearing the solution. Before she could give him any answer, Oscar’s voice rang from the doorway,
" Jasmine, where did you go today?"
