Loved By a Vampire King-Chapter 608: Forbidden Love Tastes Sweet ( Jasmine & Ralph - Part 5)

Ralph took a deep breath to restrain his anger. He had all the intentions to kill Oscar today. Eventually, the sword fell off, freed from his magic and Oscar wanted to aim at Ralph now. However, Ralph twisted his fingers and both Oscar and Jasmine fell unconscious.

Afterwards, he took Jasmine away, leaving Oscar unconscious on the ground. Two hours had passed since Jasmine was laying unconscious. When her drowsy eyes snapped open, she met the dark ceilings even though the environment felt dark, an evil aura.

A voice caught her attention as she tried to sit up to look around,

" Rest more!"

Ralph came out of the corridor, his eyes resting on her stiff face. He could tell that she didn’t like to be here.

Jasmine muttered, glaring at Ralph,

" You shouldn’t have been there! I told you. I don’t want you to be a part of my child’s life. Why did you appear in front of my husband? You know, you screwed up."

Ralph’s jaw clenched hard in anger. Instead of appreciating him, she was scolding him for saving her. Ralph said with a scoff, his eyes narrowing deep at her,

" Said someone who was one step away from getting killed. Didn’t you see the rage of your dear husband? He was going to kill my baby. Did you think that I would allow it? You admit or not..no one can hurt my baby...or....you.."

He said the last word like a low whisper. Jasmine shot him a baffled look, not getting the meaning of it. She replied sternly, feeling messed up to think what she will explain to Oscar now,

" I got it that you wanted to save your baby. What about me? Why did you save me?"

Ralph stared into her eyes for a while then looked away to hide his own certain feelings. He had been asking himself several times why he went to save her when she meant nothing. Maybe he felt sorry for her desperate state or it was something else. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

He mumbled awkwardly,

" Don’t flatter yourself.. how will my child survive if you die..."

Jasmine found it reasonable and hummed, putting a hand on her stomach. Tears formed in her eyes to think how Oscar felt disgusted about her even though she did everything for his sake. Jasmine muttered, closing her eyes shut tightly,

" What.. what will I do now..I love him so much yet..."

She started choking on her tears. Ralph who stayed far away felt a string in his heart. Strange! Everyone told him that he was a demon without heart. Then how did he feel such discomfort and pain for her words?

He let out a helpless sigh and came along to sit in front of him. Staring at her face, he said in a firm, determined voice,

" I don’t know how to mend your relationship with your husband but with me around, no one can hurt your baby or you, Jasmine. If you feel insecure to live with your husband, you can stay here as long as you want. No one will dare to lay their fingers on you. I can guarantee that."

Jasmine shook her head almost instantly. In her panic and pain, she clutched his hands together tightly, begged with tears,

" Demon king! You are so powerful. I don’t want to stay here. I love my husband. Please do something to fix our relationship. Just let him trust me. I haven’t done anything wrong."

Ralph was lost for a moment. She was squeezing his hands together. They were so soft and warm. He liked when she felt dependent on her. But the thought of doing everything for her husband still made him mad.

He swallowed hard before responding, looking away from her pleading eyes,

" There’s one thing that we can’t fix in this world, Jasmine. That is called ’Love ’. We can do anything but we can never make someone love us. Even it’s rare for someone to love a demon."

Jasmine’s grip from his hands loosened as they went back to fall on her both sides helplessly. She muttered between her tears,

" What.. what will I do now... Everything is ruined..He won’t ever accept me..my child.."

Ralph gave it a thought and found something useful to solve the situation. Letting out a sigh, he shared his plan with her,

" I can erase his memory of meeting me. But I can’t erase the part that you got this child through ritual. So many people have seen it already. This is up to you."

This relieved her a bit more. At least, Oscar would never know that her child came from the demon king. She replied excitedly,

" Do it then! I don’t want him to remember you. Let him hate me during that time. Once my son is born, he will definitely love it. Take me back now. I shouldn’t stay here longer."

She tried to get up but felt dizzy again. Ralph held her first before she could lose her balance and scolded her worriedly,

" Can you think of yourself for a bit? Your husband isn’t going anywhere. Unless I want, he isn’t getting back his senses. Now lay down and let me feed you something first."

He didn’t wait for her answer and went to the kitchen personally to prepare a nourishing soup for her. Within a short while, he came back to her bed side and used the spoon to feed her personally. Jasmine began to eat first so that she could go back to the castle. As she ate from his hands, her baby made some movements inside her womb. She blurted out subconsciously with a small smile,

" It seems like your son likes your presence."

Ralph paused between his task and Jasmine bit her tongue hard. It felt like she was never going out of the cycle of their relationship. Ralph muttered, looking down at her stomach,

" What.. what about the mother? Does..she...likes my presence too?"
