Loved By a Vampire King-Chapter 621: Forbidden Love Tastes Sweet ( Ralph & Jasmine- Part 18)

" My king! Shouldn’t you..be there.. today.."

Ralph’s loyal subordinate, Benjamin spoke after giving it a long thought. Ever since Jasmine had left his life for eternity, Ralph had been too cold for this world. Not only that, he had been drinking all day long.

Even though he didn’t look into the castle or Jasmine’s life, Ralph understood what Benjamin was trying to say. Today was supposed to be her baby shower. As the father, he should have been there by her side but now, the place was taken by that Oscar.

Ralph let out a chuckle sadly, raised himself from the ground with a growl. He replied, dragging his feet to the table to pour another round of liquor again,

" She..she doesn’t need me there.. She only cares for me...but she loves..Oscar... Benjamin..I am just a heartless demon. Why should she love me?"

Benjamin couldn’t debate on that. He sighed heavily, looking down at his feet to remind Oscar again,

" Your son.. shouldn’t he get a celebration as well?"

Benjamin didn’t know the casual rituals of a newborn baby. After watching Ralph’s pain, he secretly peeked a look at Jasmine’s life. Then he found out that they were holding a baby shower to welcome the new born baby soon. He watched for a few seconds. Hence he had no idea how many times Jasmine had called for Ralph.

Ralph shook his head not knowingly. He had no interest in celebration at this moment. Letting out another sad chuckle, he said with a bitter smile,

" He doesn’t need celebration! He will be a demon like me without any heart. Why should we celebrate, Benjamin? Besides, a celebration needs a mother. He doesn’t have a mother."

Benjamin had nothing to say anymore. He understood that Ralph had mentally broken all the ties with Jasmine but was killing himself inside. After giving him a short bow, he took his leave as well, giving Ralph space.

Meanwhile, Arcabous had the message, passed by Jasmine. After sharing her true feelings with the dragons, Jasmine felt a lot more light headed. She stayed sitting alone, next to the ocean. The party continued inside without any intervention. It was more like no one cared about whether she was in the party or not.

Jasmine was all in her own thoughts when she heard a woman’s chirping voice,

" There you are! What are you doing here alone?"

Jasmine turned her head behind to see Lady Morphi, coming on her way. Morphi was Oscar’s Aunt, the closest sister of the king. She was renowned to be a tough and ruthless woman. Even Oscar didn’t dare to talk back to her face. She didn’t like Jasmine from the beginning.

Jasmine still smiled big at her politely, trying to get up but Morphi gestured at her to keep sitting,

" Aunt! Have you eaten?"

Morphi had always held the pride aura of Princess. She sipped from her red wine, then came next to her without sitting together,

" I have! It’s your party! What the hell are you doing outside with these two idiots?"

She referred to Arcabous and Debisa who growled back at her. The dragons also didn’t like her presence in the party. Probably they knew how evil she was in reality. Jasmine bit her lips together before answering with a smile,

" I just came out for a walk. How is everyone doing in the family?"

Jasmine inquired about Oscar’s family with whom they had no bond practically. Even her daughters didn’t know the members well. They treated them like strangers or outsiders. Morphi scowled at her before answering,

" Do you even care? My brother doesn’t like you. Are you having a boy this time? If it isn’t a boy, be prepared to get kicked out. My nephew won’t consider a woman who can’t give him an heir!"

Jasmine held back the tears that struggled to fall down. Indeed she heard the real thoughts of Oscar and knew that he cared for heir only. His confession of love was all just a lie. Jasmine replied with a sigh, looking down at her big belly,

" Hopefully it’s a boy! Aunt, will you all accept me if it’s a boy?"

Morphi let out a sinister laughter. Finishing her drink in one single gulp, she replied leaning onto Jasmine,

" Oh dear! Who do you think you are? Our family never liked you. Do you think that we don’t know how you broke Oscar’s marriage? Let me tell you a secret! I am here on my brother’s command.."

Jasmine widened her eyes in shock. In a flash of moment, Morphi’s expression turned dark and dangerous. Her smile was even more terrifying as if she was hiding her madness behind it. Jasmine mumbled, dragging herself backwards,

" What.. what command.. what are you saying? I am..I am carrying your heir.."

Morphi only laughed harder. Grabbing onto her shoulders, she said to Jasmine through her gritted teeth,

" Command to kill you! We don’t care..As long as you die, everything will be resolved!"

Morphi said grudgingly and at the same time, she pushed Jasmine into the ocean. Right before she fell into the water, a black layer of smoke surrounded her and pulled her back on the ground. The dark and evil aura shocked Morphi who was watching everything in horror & disbelief.

Jasmine looked down at the smoke and tears of happiness filled her eyes. She knew this power. Apart from demons, no one had the power of using black magic. Jasmine swallowed her happiness hard and glared at Morphi who was stunned at the spot,

" Leave here right now if you want to stay alive!"

Morphi came back to her senses and hastily ran away from the spot. She understood that she messed up with the wrong person. Once she left, Jasmine began to shout in her tears, smiling and crying at the same time while looking around,

" RALPH!! I KNOW YOU ARE HERE!! RALPH!! I BEG YOU! COME OUT NOW!"
