To Jasmine’s disappointment, only the sound of shore howling came to her ears. There was no trace of Ralph anywhere. She was even more surprised to realize that it wasn’t Ralph who saved her life. Biting her lips together anxiously, her eyes searched for the person around. Then it came down to her own stomach that had the dark light, coming out of her belly. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

Jasmine froze when the realization dawned over her. So, it was her son who started using his powers to protect her body. Tears rolled down from her eyes. Placing a hand on her stomach, Jasmine said between her sob,

" Baby...was..was that you.."

No answer came back but she felt the baby kicking hard against her belly. Jasmine cried harder with tears in her eyes. She smiled gratefully to think that at least one person on earth cared for her. She rubbed her belly lovingly and said with a sad smile,

" Your father won’t come for us, baby! I let him..go...He isn’t coming anymore..."

The second, Jasmine squeezed her eyes shut in pain. She didn’t even notice that it was her first time to acknowledge Ralph as her son’s father. Even before leaving Ralph, she stubbornly said that Oscar was the father of her child. Who thought that a demon was more eligible to be a father rather than a dragon who was full of lies & schemes?

The baby shower officially ended. Oscar finally noticed that Jasmine wasn’t present in the party. Later he found her in the chamber and hugged her from behind who was chanting the spell to call Ralph. However nothing worked as Ralph had cut ties with her realm. Ralph knew that a little connection would make him desperate to have her again. So, he blocked everything from listening and isolated himself from all the realms.

Oscar kissed on her neck before telling affectionately,

" You looked so good today! You don’t know how many guests were envious of me for having you as my wife. They call you a rare beauty!"

Jasmine only laughed in her heart. Why didn’t she ever notice that the man whom she loved had his eyes for her beauty only. Did he ever care how she felt in her mind?

Jasmine said nothing in response and felt his lips kissing her neck gradually. Basically she knew where they were going to end. But she didn’t like him touching her anymore especially after knowing that he was lying to her all the time.

Just when she tried to dodge his touch, she felt a contradiction in her stomach. Jasmine let out a wail, crunching down in pain,

" Aaahhh!!!"

Oscar looked down at her in shock as well. It was too early for her to give birth. The midwife said that Jasmine had still one month left to give birth. It was too early for her but Oscar didn’t know that demon babies were actually born in 9 months 3 days time. They had a particular time to be born.

Oscar’s jaw clenched hard in anger, thinking about the baby which was going to be born. Remembering his own plan, he told Jasmine before leaving,

" I am going to call the midwife! She should be here!"

Oscar didn’t even stay by her side when she was in pain. Jasmine saw how he abandoned her when she was on the floor in pain. She let her tears fall down on its own and knew what Oscar was planning. He was definitely thinking about killing the baby after it was born.

NO!! She had to save her baby! She had to save her child!!

Tears blurred her vision. Holding back the pain, Jasmine dragged herself out of the room before the maids could find her. On her way out, she saw Isabella who was playing with her doll in her room. Jasmine ran to her daughter and knelt in front of Isabella to tell her,

" Baby!! Listen to me!! I don’t know what will happen to mommy but..you must be good to your brother..He is your brother no matter what your father says! You will take care of him when I am not here, won’t you baby?"

Isabella could hardly understand what her mother was meaning. However, she understood her assignment well. From a child, Isabella always wanted to be a loving mother, a caring wife just like other little girls. Power or wealth never attracted her like the way Jessie wanted. Isabella blinked her eyes blankly before promising her mother,

" I will, Mommy! But why won’t you be here?"

Jasmine only smiled big with tears in her eyes. Without saying anything, she kissed her chubby cheeks and left through the back door of the castle. By the time, Jasmine had hopped onto an old boat to cross the ocean, the sky was already growling.

Her contradictions came occasionally but she didn’t stop for the sake of her child. She had to find her own family. Maybe if she went there to beg, her father would accept her and save her baby. Only her own family could save her son from Oscar. If they gave her son protection, even Oscar wouldn’t dare to do anything to her baby.

Jasmine drove the boat through the rain. The rain had already started getting heavier. Her exclusive gown was all soaked now but she didn’t care about her own life. Once she reached the land, Jasmine jumped down from her small boat and started running through the rain using the woods road. She knew this place too well. Hence the darkness or rain didn’t stop her from finding her home.

She almost ran through the rain for fifteen minutes. When she got in front of the mansion, she was having contradictions again. She was in pain and heavily soaked. Jasmine started banging on the mansion’s door, not caring about her condition,

" FATHER!! FATHER!! OPEN THE DOOR!! PLEASE!! PLEASE SAVE MY BABY!! My baby!!! Father!! Please... open the door..I am Jasmine.. Father.."
