Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 308: Ronan Has To Drag Lazarus Himself

"My wedding?" The girl turned to Tania.

"Didn’t His Majesty tell you?" asked Tania, who was also confused to see Arielle was surprised by the news of her own wedding.

Arielle was silent. She did not know if their wedding preparations had already started. All she knew was that the wedding would take place in two to three months. Arielle thought that because their wedding would be simply held with close friends, Ronan didn’t have to bother with the preparation.

"I had spoken to His Majesty, but I didn’t think it would be this fast."

Maybe because Northendell didn’t have a Queen Mother, it was all done by Ronan himself. Arielle put down her spoon and fork. She wanted to talk more about this with Ronan.

The man always did things himself. If she could, she wanted to help him so they could prepare it together.

"Sasha, Tania, can you two look after Crimson for a bit? There’s something I need to do," she asked them.

Tania, who was wiping Crimson’s face from the leftovers of the food, nodded, as did Sasha, who held the baby in his arms. Arielle beamed. Sasha was much better at holding the baby than Ronan. Maybe it was because Sasha had been babysitting a lot in the orphanage?

"Leave everything to me, Princess. Lord Kael said that I shouldn’t practice anymore until I have completely healed, so I can accompany Crimson all day."

"Thank you very much, Sasha," replied Arielle, stroking the boy’s red hair gently.

After Arielle left her room at Whitethorn Palace, she pulled her coat up. It was a pretty bright morning. The sky was a clear dark grey without a single cloud. She greeted some soldiers and apprentice priests who were cleaning the snow caused by the heavy snow last night.

When Arielle entered through the huge door of the Blackthorn Palace, she met Ronan and William, who were about to leave the palace.

"Your Majesty?" asked Arielle to Ronan, who was startled to see Arielle in front of him.

The man signaled William to go first and grabbed Arielle to stand behind one of the large pillars in the palace. Ronan lifted his half-face mask and placed it over his head.

"What are you doing here?" asked Ronan again without answering Arielle’s question.

"I thought you’re done talking about Lazarus and... I want to talk about a few things?"

"Lazarus... Sorry, but I have to meet Lazarus in person. The man didn’t want to come back to the Palace because he was celebrating his cousin’s party, and he didn’t believe we found his daughter under the cold snow."

"A, I see, it’s fine. Then... we can talk later."

Ronan thought for a moment. The two of them stood facing each other without speaking again.

"Maybe today I’ll be back a little late. Can we change my pampered day to another day?"

Arielle smiled. The girl stroked the side of Ronan’s head.

"We can start when you come back later," replied Arielle, making Ronan smile with satisfaction.

The man grabbed Arielle’s chin and kissed it gently.

"Can we continue what we were doing this morning after I come back too?" asked the man, hoping that they could continue where they had left this morning.

Arielle turned her blushing face away. She cleared her throat to hide her embarrassment. "I-I don’t know about that because... there’s something I want to seriously discuss with you after you come back."

"Ah, I see...."

Ronan gave the girl a quick peck on the neck before straightening his back again.

"In that case, okay. I’ll be back quickly. After dragging Lazarus here, I will spend my whole day with you without anyone bothering us again like this morning."

Arielle helped Ronan put his mask back on and put the man’s hood on properly.

"Be careful. I’ll be waiting for you. Please don’t hurt Lazarus too much."

He rolled his eyes. "Okay, if that’s what you want."

Ronan grabbed Arielle’s body and hugged her tightly. It was getting hard for him to leave Arielle this time. He needed her, but Lazarus’ problem made him unable to calm down. That troublesome man blatantly dared to refuse the royal order and sent the envoy back.

He and William had to step in now.

After sending out Ronan, William, and one knight away from the palace, Arielle planned to return to her room to help Tania in taking care of Crimson. However, as she passed through the garden, an apprentice priest called out to her.

Arielle remembered the child. It was Namina, an apprentice priest who accompanied her when they went to Frostmount Village.

"Good morning, Namina. Is there anything I can help you with?"

The boy slightly widened his eyes in disbelief that the princess still remembered his name. It made him a little awkward and embarrassed. His friends who were helping the knights melt the snowflakes clearly showed their curiosity about how the princess got to know the name of one of the apprentice priests?

"Uh... I come to pass on Priest Elis’ invitation to you this afternoon."

"Priest Elis?"

"R-right, Princess."

"Oh okay. I’ll come at noon. Thank you, Nami. But I have to go back to my room," Arielle replied kindly.

"Sure, Princess."

Arielle touched the boy’s shoulder briefly, making his face turn red. She gave a smile to greet several apprentice priests who stopped to see their friend, who was talking to the princess.

The apprentice priests were of various ages. It depended on when their mana power started to appear. From the books Arielle read, they were prepared to be sent to various cathedrals across Northendell to help residents during Northendell’s extreme weather.

And that was Queen Northendell’s job; receiving all the people whose powers were open, and giving them education in the palace for several years before sending them to every region. All expenses affiliated with cathedral activities were the responsibility of the queen.

The queen also provided a scholarship for several new apprentice priests according to the queen’s choice. It was just that the program had not run in recent years, considering that Northendell did not have a queen yet. So, there were no funds for the queen’s name to sponsor the activity. All this time Ronan had been doing it all by himself.

"This is my chance to ask Priest Elis," she muttered to herself.
