Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 374: How To Handle Amadea’s Wolf
Mate ... was a very rare and special bond.
Arielle held her neck, which suddenly felt ticklish. Her face reddened at the memory of Ronan who used to bite her neck. Did Ronan subconsciously want to mark her?
"The descendant of the first king is currently sick, right?" Otis asked, and Arielle immediately nodded. "It’s not caused by any disease. His body is fighting against his wolf’s side. Once your power is unlocked, Amadea wants to find you. That is how his body’s response. Even after he goes through the full moon later, if he doesn’t mark you, he can never heal. He will have an ongoing fever."
"Then, I have to go back!" Arielle exclaimed worriedly. The image on the surface of the water blurred and disappeared.
"Don’t be rash. If Amadea marks you when you have not fully controlled your power, you will only shorten your life."
"Then... then what should I do? I can’t leave Ronan in a weak state. I have to do something."
"Use your blood. Let him taste a drop of your blood to calm him down. That is enough to make Amadea go back to sleep until the next full moon."
Otis stood up then stretched out his hand, asking Arielle to come with him.
"Actually, we still have time to talk about other things, but it looks like you are in a hurry. I can understand your feelings. I’ll take you home."
A great gust of wind blew. When Arielle looked up, she could see the wide flapping of wings. Her heart was pounding hard again when she saw the same figure she met in her dream. The dragon stood majestically as Arielle stared at it in amazement
"Human," it said in a reverberating voice.
"Nice to meet you again, Lord Dragon," Arielle greeted it, and the dragon looked away as if it didn’t care about Arielle’s words.
Otis chuckled, seeing that the dragon still held a grudge against the humans. Well, the incident ten years ago was a mistake. He forgot to close the gate to the realm of Mount Birwick so that several young dragons fled and attacked the human kingdom out of curiosity .
Of course, the king came to Mount Birwick to seek revenge with his army. Dragons were one of the races who was prideful. Their high pride made them challenge the king’s army.
They were so young and reckless that one of them died in human’s hand. Out of anger, they went on a rampage. Most of the knights died, and Otis could only save a few of the injured knights.
Because of this incident, the dragons hated humans even more, especially the current descendants of the first king of the North.
"You don’t have to worry. Let’s go. We’ll escort you to the front of the gate."
Arielle accepted Otis’ hand. After saying excuse me, she climbed onto the dragon’s back and sat behind Otis. Arielle gripped Otis’ white robe tightly as the dragon flapped its wings strongly and soared up to the sky.
Riding a dragon stimulated Arielle’s adrenaline. She didn’t know what kind of maneuver the dragon would do next, either slide up, free fall down, or make a sharp turn. The dragon flew as it pleased, and Otis, who was used to it, just burst out laughing.
"Hohoho.... Please fly at ease, Mera. Our new friend is very scared," Otis said, still laughing.
"Tch, she’s not my friend, Old man!"
The dragon soared up again and suddenly everything seemed to stop as the dragon spread its wings wide. Arielle could see the full moon so close. The moon looked huge, almost as big as a globe in the cathedral. Or maybe much bigger? 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
"Whoaaa..." Arielle exclaimed. She opened her eyes to see the scene in front of her. From a distance, Arielle could see a small castle in the middle of the dense forest.
"It’s a beautiful sight, isn’t it?" Otis asked.
Arielle didn’t say anything, she just nodded to the man’s question.
"Do you live there?" asked Arielle while pointing at the small castle.
"Yes, and please wait for my invitation. I will invite you when the time comes so you can visit me.."
"I will wait for it, Sir Otis," Arielle replied with a big smile.
The dragon flapped its wings again. Then, it descended to the ground slowly, not as extreme as before.
"Lord Otis, I have one more question."
"Of course. What is it?"
"Do... do I really have a power to melt Northendell’s eternal snow and release Amadea’s curse from Ronan?"
Otis smiled. He patted Arielle’s head gently. "Of course you do. In this world, only you can do it. Not me or anyone. Only you, because you are the child chosen by the Moon Goddess. You’re the answer to all the prayers of the people who have been suffering from this curse for a long time. You are a form of the Moon Goddess’ love."
"Then, what should I do ?"
"I will teach you when the time comes."
Arielle felt Otis always spoke the same way. Otis never arranged a time for their next meeting. "And when was that?" Arielle asked, getting very impatient.
"When you are truly ready for your responsibilities. First, you have to become the queen the citizens need."
Arielle slowly descended from the dragon named Mera. She arrived at an ancient iron gate. It was the same gate as she remembered from her dream. Arielle looked around, but she didn’t find her animal friends like before.
Arielle turned, then waved her hand at Otis and Mera. "Bye bye!!! See you later, Sir Otis!"
"Until we meet again, Arielle. Oh, shit! I almost forgot something very, very, very important."
The old man jumped from above the dragon. He rummaged into the pocket of his white robe and pulled out a small flower.
"Mash this flower and give it a drop of your blood. Let Amadea’s wolf sniff it. This will calm him down and help the king get better. And Arielle... keep our meeting a secret, okay?" Otis said with a subtle smile.
Arielle wanted to ask why she had to keep their meeting a secret, but her voice disappeared again as the gate behind her opened by itself. Her body was sucked into an endless white space, and her vision suddenly blurred.
