Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 408: Mission To Follow Ronan At Chapel
Arielle slightly opened her eyes when she felt someone open the curtains on the window. She didn’t realize that she had slept all night. Tania was there, cleaning her room diligently.
"Good morning, Princess. Are you feeling better now?" Tania asked.
Arielle lifted her dangling nightgown. Her body felt much lighter now. Last night, she had been thinking about Ronan and what she felt. Arielle regretted being cold to Ronan.
She still thought Ronan was wrong, but being cold to him wasn’t a good thing to do either. Supposedly, after helping Lazarus, Arielle should visited Ronan to have a good talk. Silence wouldn’t solve the problem.
It was morning, Arielle hoped that after giving Ronan some time alone would make him think about what he had done. She would prepare breakfast and invited Ronan to have breakfast together.
Arielle greeted Aimee, who then offered her to have breakfast, but she gently declined it.
"I will invite His Majesty to have breakfast together," Arielle replied.
Aimee felt that Princess Arielle’s cheerful demeanor had returned. It was good because Aimee heard that Ronan was also in such a bad mood. The man even made a maid cry last night. Thus, Aimee hoped the princess could appease the king’s anger.
Arielle finished preparing a simple breakfast for Ronan. It was sandwiches. She made them with Chef Michael’s help. The man helped her to choose the best ingredients they had. Arielle pushed the trolley towards Ronan’s office, and she knocked on the door several times.
"Oh, Princess!" William called her from the back, and it made Arielle turn around.
"Good morning, William. Is Ronan awake yet?"
William scratched his head, then slowly approached Arielle, who was pushing a trolley that contained breakfast for the two of them.
"Uhm... Princess... Ronan is not in the palace at the moment."
"Huh?"
"Please don’t misunderstand yet... um... Ronan said last night he was going to visit his family chapel to check on the wedding preparations."
"Alone?"
"Yes."
"But, he promised to take me with him yesterday."
WIlliam held his chest, which was suddenly in pain. He couldn’t bear to see the princess’s sad expression. Ronan really went too far to let Arielle like this. His hands were clenched into fists because he felt Ronan’s attitude was very childish.
"How about we go there right now?" William asked. Meanwhile, Arielle turned and pushed her trolley away from Ronan’s office door. William panicked and followed the princess.
"I know it! Ronan was so childish. Ugh, how could he be so insensitive to you!? He left you, although he had promised to take you there. What a jerk! Don’t worry, Princess. We are all on your side."
Arielle chuckled. "Thank you, William."
"But, we have to confront him! Ronan is a grown man. Running away like this is not how adults solve problems. I know he is a king, but his attitude this time is much worse than Sasha’s."
"You know what happened?" Arielle asked William.
"Yes. I know. I met Lazarus last night. Lazarus was an idiot, even though I had warned him to keep his distance from Ronan for the next few days, but he acted carelessly like yesterday."
Arielle stopped walking. She knew why William said that. The man must be pissed off at his best friend.
"Even so, I can’t justify his actions. Beating his own friend for something trivial like that was not good," said Arielle with sour face.
William held Arielle’s shoulder slowly. "You want to see him, right? You brought him breakfast because you wanted to meet him, right? Let’s go after him. Ronan won’t come back unless he’s picked up."
Arielle nodded in agreement.
"Could we take Aimee and Lazarus too?" Arielle asked .
"Lazarus too?"
"I want to solve the misunderstanding between Ronan and Lazarus too."
"If that’s what you want, I’ll call him and provide a carriage for you and Aimee."
"Thank you very much, William."
William smiled after seeing the princess smile. He grabbed the trolley brought by Arielle. "First, let me return this to the kitchen," he said.

A carriage with two white horses was parked in front of the Whitethorn Palace. Arielle and Aimee climbed into it while Lazarus and William guarded the carriage from the front and back with their horses.
At first, Lazarus wasn’t sure about Arielle’s invitation because he wasn’t ready to meet Ronan. He thought it would be good to give each other a few days to settle their anger. However, after listening to the princess’ explanation, Lazarus nodded in agreement.
Aimee didn’t protest like the first time she met Lazarus. The man looked more gloomy than usual, and Aimee didn’t want to create a new flame.
Their carriage left the palace. Outside the palace, the snow was thicker than usual. A mountain of snow filled Arielle’s view. Was this just Arielle’s feeling, or had Northendell become colder than usual lately?
They passed through the outskirts of the settlement. The chapel owned by Ronan’s family was further from Priest Louise’s house. Aimee said it was the chapel of his mother’s family. The bodies of his mother and sister were buried there.
Even though almost all the royal family were buried in a special place in the royal family’s funeral garden, Priest Louise suggested burying Ronan’s mother and sister in the cathedral belonging to his mother’s family, so Ronan wouldn’t feel too guilty and depressed when he remembered the dark incident in the past.
"What about his father? Was he buried in a different place?"
Aimee shook her head. "It happened when my father was still the commander of the royal knights. As far as I know, my father and Kael burned the wolf’s body of Ronan’s father on the far end of the forest border in Mount Birwick."
"Eh, why?"
"To avoid misfortune they said. Because the former king attacked his family in that form."
Arielle never knew the details of Ronan’s family funeral. She only knew about the man’s past. Arielle once found Ronan crying in his sleep while calling his mother. Even until now, the wounds in the man’s heart had not healed completely. Still, she hoped Ronan was fine and wasn’t being depressed alone.
They arrived at the chapel belonging to the family of Ronan’s mother. Several priests and apprentice priests welcomed the arrival of Arielle’s group. Arielle introduced herself and the high priest in charge of the cathedral immediately recognized Arielle as the future bride of King Ronan and future queen of Northendell.
The priest invited Arielle and the others in.
"Ah, I’m sorry if I disturb your time. Priest, have you seen His Majesty the King?" Arielle asked before they entered the chapel.
"Ah, Your Majesty..."
William could see the priest’s terrified expression. Ronan must have intimidated the old man.
"I’m not sure if you can meet His Majesty right now, Your Highness" he said doubtfully.
Arielle turned to William and the man nodded, allowing Arielle to be bolder.
"I see... it’s okay, I just want to know where he is," Arielle insisted.
"If you insisted... His Majesty the King is alone in the backyard. You can take the side path of the chapel to get directly to the back. You just need to follow this path," said the priest, pointing at the snow-cleared road.
"Thank you very much, Priest. I really appreciate it," replied Arielle.
