Chapter 410: The First Time Ronan Say Sorry

Again, Ronan could only look down in shame.

"Thank you for listening to me so well. So how? Is there anything you want to talk about?"

Ronan averted his gaze. What Arielle said was indeed true. Never had Ronan felt like he was being lectured. All this time, Ronan did whatever he pleased.

Arielle’s patience reminded her of Priest Louise’s patience, who taught him many things for the first time. Ever since he rose to throne and became a king, Priest Louise stopped lecturing him. Ronan also felt that what he did was the truth.

That was right, Lazarus didn’t deserve to be hit. He should be the one getting hit for breaking his promise to Arielle. He even left the palace without telling her first.

"Sorry." That was all Ronan could come up with.

"Also to Lazarus?"

Ronan nodded. "I will try it."

Ronan needed some mental preparation before apologizing to Lazarus. He didn’t want the man to overreact, making everything Arielle had said become complicated. Arielle hugged Ronan tightly again.

Ronan was deeply in love with Arielle. Maybe she was the only one who could understand him right now. If it was William or Kael, they would just keep quiet and leave things unsaid.

Ronan was very happy that Arielle came to him first. He had been feeling lonely since yesterday. And when Arielle offered her warmth, all the cold that Ronan felt faded, replaced by a pleasant warm feeling.

"You should know, I almost laughed at that time, but when you hit Lazarus, I was taken aback."

"Sorry."

Arielle also released her arms from Ronan’s body. She helped the man put his mask back on and pulled him up. Ronan smiled, seeing that Arielle’s small body had to pull his big body. He teased the girl by forcefully maintaining his sitting position, making Arielle scrunch her face at her futile effort.

Having had enough, Ronan then stood up. Arielle helped him clean the snow that had fallen on his coat.

"I will apologize to Lazarus as soon as we return to the palace," said Ronan, without knowing that Arielle had prepared a surprise for him.

Arielle nodded her head, then took Ronan’s hand to enter the chapel. She saw a line of children starting to sing praises to the Moon Goddess near the high altar. When the chapel administrator saw the arrival of the king, they turned and bowed in respect.

William, Lazarus, and Aimee, who were sitting in the second seat to the front, looked back and found Ronan who came with Arielle while holding hands. William smiled proudly. He knew that the man would not be angry for long if it was Arielle who spoke to him.

He turned back to enjoy the praises of the Moon Goddess sung by the chorus in front of the altar. He chuckled slightly, making Lazarus frown at William. Ronan had really been tamed by Arielle, William thought.

Arielle invited Ronan to sit in the front row. Then, Aimee gave the lunchbox that Arielle had prepared for Ronan. After receiving it, Arielle nudged the man’s body silently, giving a code if there was Lazarus behind him.

Ronan didn’t think he had to do it so quickly. He thought Arielle was here alone with William, considering he only told William. It must be Arielle who did it. The girl deliberately took Lazarus and Aimee with her.

Ronan turned slightly. "Sorry," he said quietly, then turned his head back to the front.

That one word sounded very faint and if Lazarus was daydreaming, he certainly wouldn’t be able to hear it. However, Lazarus heard it, and he nodded.

"I’m sorry too," he replied, which Ronan accepted with a nod of his head.

Arielle looked back and gave Lazarus her thumb, a sign that he was fine now. There was nothing more to worry about. William smiled as well as Aimee.

In his heart, William cursed while chuckling. "You lucky bastard."

After Ronan appointed this place as their private wedding venue, everything had been prepared from choir rehearsals, building checks, and he also made some changes because the place had not been used for so long.

Arielle could see that the old benches had just been repainted because they were so shiny. Also, the altar wall also had been repainted with pure white color.

After the choir rehearsal was over, the high priest on duty approached Ronan to discuss a few things. Arielle, Lazarus, William, and Aimee were still sitting on the bench.

"Uhm... I purposely asked the three of you to come with me to do something," Arielle said as she looked back.

She reached into her dress pocket and took out two papers and gave them to William and Aimee.

"What is this, Your Highness?" William asked curiously.

"Ah, sorry if my writing is still messy."

"No, no! I can read it well!" William corrected his words quickly. He was worried if his words had offended the princess.

"Since this place is quite far from the market, I need your help to buy this for me," Arielle said while pointing at the paper. "But, because I’m worried that Aimee will go alone, I want Aimee to go with Lazarus, while William goes alone. Is it possible?"

"Huh?"

Aimee and Lazarus looked at each other, then turned to the princess while shaking their heads profusely. They didn’t want to say no because they realized Ronan was looking at them right now. Neither of them wanted Ronan to get angry again for making a fuss or for refusing the princess’s request.

Arielle blinked her eyes, pleading, "Please... I just want to make these little children happy."

Lazarus closed his eyes, feeling the princess was too bright, and he couldn’t refuse the request. Aimee felt the same way. William immediately stood up to carry out his duties, leaving Lazarus and Aimee, who were still reluctant to leave their seats.

"Ah, if you don’t want to, it’s fine. I can do it myself." said Arielle while grabbing back her paper on Aimee’s hand.

"Don’t!" Lazarus and Aimee exclaimed at the same time.

They both stood up and ran from their seats. Arielle chuckled seeing the two who looked enthusiastic about buying food for the choir children.

"Don’t forget to get along!" said Arielle before they were completely gone.
