Chapter 412: The Things Ronan Do After Marriage

Ronan tilted his head in confusion because in his mind, there were only dirty thoughts right now. After thinking for a while, Ronan understood the girl’s question.

He put the lunch box on the bench, and Ronan followed Arielle. He stood at the bottom of the stairs, facing Arielle to give his answer. Ronan took Arielle’s hand and held it gently. He placed the girl’s hand on his chest.

"I’ve never been married before, so I don’t know exactly what a husband should do with his wife. Priest Elis gave me a book about the responsibilities of a husband to his wife, but I haven’t had time to read it. But if you want to know, this is my plan..."

Ronan touched Arielle’s warm face and rubbed the natural blush on the girl’s cheeks.

"As a husband, I want to take good care of my wife. Take care of her when she is sick, giving her comfort so she can stay healthy for the rest of our life. As a husband, I also want to make my wife happy. I hope there’s not a day when my wife has to feel sad. My wife deserve all the happiness in this world. And lastly, I want to give all my support to her. In short, after we get married, I will love her, I mean you, even more."

"Thank you. I was just worried that something like yesterday could happen again."

Ronan chuckled. "Um... I’ll try to be more patient and less jealous. But if something hurts you, I still won’t stand still, Arielle."

Arielle smiled. It was not easy to change someone. She didn’t want Ronan to change completely just for her. She wanted Ronan to understand that in married life, they would have a hard time once in a while. Arielle hoped that Ronan didn’t solve the problem with a fist like yesterday.

"Ronan, in the future, if I make a mistake or something is bothering you, let’s have a good talk."

Ronan did not answer Arielle’s words. He pulled the girl’s hand to follow him behind the curtain of the altar. Arielle blinked in surprise as Ronan pushed her body and pinned her against the window.

"I’ll try," said Ronan briefly.

He drowned his lips on Arielle’s lips. He wished the girl would stop reminding him of his mistake yesterday. Ronan had admitted it, and he had learned that what he did to Lazarus was wrong. He kissed Arielle’s lips gently, as if asking Arielle to forget about yesterday’s incident.

He parted their lips when Arielle tried to break free.

"Yeah, I promise not to do it again, but stop talking about it, please. What I did yesterday was really embarrassing. And I’m so sorry for leaving you alone," said Ronan.

"Okay, I understand. I just hope it doesn’t happen again when we get married."

Ronan hugged Arielle tightly. "I won’t, Arielle. I will never do that again."

Arielle also returned Ronan’s hug gently.

"And we shouldn’t be kissing in the holy place," Arielle added, making Ronan chuckle.

Ronan grabbed Arielle’s face while whispering against the girl’s lips, "Let’s just say we practice for our wedding."

Before Arielle could refuse, Ronan drowned his lips on Arielle’s again.

Aimee could ride a horse on her own without Lazarus’ help. Because they came with William and Lazarus, so they only had two horses. Aimee insisted on not riding with Lazarus. Then, William and Lazarus relented, and with a bit of difficulty, they released one of the horses in the carriage carrying Arielle and Aimee earlier.

After the problem was finally resolved, the three of them rode their horses towards the settlement to look for people selling snacks and souvenirs. Arielle said she saw the shops when they passed the settlement earlier. As they arrived at the settlement, William went his separate ways with Aimee and Lazarus.

Lazarus and Aimee rode their horses side by side. There was an awkward atmosphere between them. If it wasn’t for the princess’s request, Aimee would definitely refuse. So was Lazarus.

To be honest, Lazarus was happy to have some time alone with Aimee so he could have a chance to apologize again. However, Aimee was so cold to him that Lazarus was afraid to start a conversation with the girl.

Aimee tried to find the bakery that Arielle mentioned. She did not know if the princess had seen one when they passed the settlement. Aimee was so focused on telling her story that she did not realize that the princess had prepared a mission for her.

"Aimee, wait a moment. I’ll ask that person," Lazarus pointed at a man who was singing with his guitar in front of a house.

Aimee also stopped the pace of her horse, leaving Lazarus to ask himself. She looked at her surroundings carefully. The settlement looked deserted from most of the settlements in general. Even though it was still early in the morning, only a few people were seen passing by, much different from the morning in the capital city.

Lazarus came back on foot, holding the reins of his horse so as not to run away. He said, "The man said the bakery is just down the road before entering the market area."

Aimee didn’t respond. Lazarus, who just realized he had spoken casually to Aimee, cleared his throat to erase the awkwardness between them, and he got back on his horse again. He only looked back to make sure Aimee was following him properly.

The two of them arrived at a bakery that smelled really delicious. For Lazarus, who had not had breakfast yet, smelling the sweet aroma made his stomach growl. Lazarus’ bad habit was that he never brought money with him. He should have asked for money from William before they parted ways because, at this time, he had to hold back his hunger.

Aimee certainly had more money, but the girl would definitely strangle him if he troubled her.

Aimee entered the shop, leaving Lazarus, who was hesitant to come inside. Lazarus was afraid that he would be even more tempted if he went in. He would rather stay in the cold than embarrass himself in front of Aimee with his stomach that won’t stop growling.
