Chapter 467: Ronan Becomes Panicked

Ronan caught the body of his wife who was holding a baby. Aimee rushed to take the baby and return it to the mother. William immediately called the doctor to check Arielle’s condition, and Kael went inside the tent to check the condition of the others.

The panicked Kael called all the doctors to check on the priests, as well as the people inside the tent. He kept a tight guard so that no one entered the tent.

Ronan looked at Arielle’s fainted face with mixed feelings. He carried the girl back into his tent. Everyone surrounded Ronan and Arielle to ask what had happened and why the dead baby was crying again. They also asked about their family. Did Arielle do the same to their family too?

Ronan, who almost exploded, kept walking, deafening his ears. He wanted to lash out his anger at everyone there, but Arielle needed help first. The knights returned to circle the king’s tent, and William arrived with a doctor.

Ronan put Arielle on a thick blanket and sat beside her. He just sat quietly with his arms crossed in front of his chest when the doctor asked permission to examine his wife’s condition.

"Her Highness’s pulse is slow. Her body temperature is also above normal. I suggest that His Majesty take her back to the palace to receive more intensive treatment. I can only give her a potion, but Princess Arielle has to wake up first to drink it. The palace has complete equipment, and perhaps Priest Elis can help neutralize the mana flow in Princess Arielle’s body," the man replied. He said everything at once.

"If her body temperature is lowered first by a priest or apprentice priest, is it possible?" asked William who was still there.

"I’m afraid it is not possible, Lord William. Like water that is constantly heated until it boils, the priest will only absorb the hot steam. The doctor will give some cooling medicine to prevent the heat from returning. What we need to do right now is to turn off the fire. We could only temporarily cool it down, but it didn’t take long for Princess Arielle to have a fever again. It would all be in vain."

"William prepares the carriage immediately. I’m going back to the palace right now with Arielle. Bring in the knights that can move fast. Don’t waste time," Ronan ordered, which William accepted with a nod of his head.

William and the doctor who checked Arielle’s condition asked permission to leave the tent. After the two left, Ronan looked at Arielle’s face, which was redder than usual. It reminded him of the incident at Frostmount Village back then. His folded hands in front of his chest reached out to fix Arielle’s sweat-drenched hair. He looked at the bandage on his wife’s head with regret.

Even though Ronan had promised himself not to leave Arielle alone, who would have thought, when he was careless and negligent, everything happened so fast? Ronan didn’t know exactly what was going on at this point. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

He only got a report that a woman beat Arielle’s head until it bled because Arielle was protecting Priest Jill who was being beaten. Ronan didn’t even have time to hear the reason the priest was beaten, because Ronan immediately took his horse and rode towards his tent speedily.

After arriving in front of the tent, they said Arielle was doing something in the tent of the people undergoing a transition of mana flow in their bodies.

Ronan was uncertain, and just standing in his place. He did not know what to do. He wanted to summon the woman who had beaten Arielle, then tore off that impudent hand of hers and threw her into the deepest abyss of Northendell. However, if he did it, Arielle would surely feel guilty when she woke up.

Ronan took off his mask then kissed Arielle’s forehead, hoping for a miracle to happen. He hoped that Arielle would wake up soon from her sleep.

The tent opened wide, revealing William who was stuttering to say something.

"Is the carriage ready?" asked Ronan who didn’t need any explanation or excuse from William.

"Ronan... you have to see something.... Come with me!" William urged Ronan to come with me.

"I order you to prepare the carriage. William, do my order before I KILL YOU! DONT YOU SEE ARIELLE WAS FAINTED HERE!" the man shouted, making William wince. He knew Ronan would be angry with him. However, what he had just seen was far more terrifying!

"But Arielle made the undead come back alive!"

"I DON’T CARE ABOUT ZOMBIES! THE CARRIAGE!" shouted Ronan, snapping at William once more.

"Ugh... I already prepared it in the front!" William replied.

Ronan immediately lifted Arielle’s body along with the thick blanket and carried her into the carriage that had been prepared. He wanted to be with Arielle, but because they needed to get to the palace quickly, and Ronan forced them to go through the forest shortcut, he would also be on guard outside the carriage.

Aimee was left there because Ronan needed Kael and William to look after Arielle too. Ronan brought an apprentice priest to help Arielle as they passed through the cold forest later. He didn’t care about the people who swarmed the area. He didn’t know what happened there. Ronan didn’t even care about it. He only focused on bringing Arielle back to the palace soon.

Ronan and William rode in front of the carriage. Two knights protected the carriage on each side, and Kael guarded at the back. They also drove fast, ignoring the screams of the citizens who felt grateful for what Arielle had done.

Ronan spurred his horse fast, as did the carriage carrying Arielle. If they went through the path outside the forest, it would take a long time, and Ronan didn’t want to take the risk. Arielle had to be handled by Priest Elis immediately.

Inside the carriage, the apprentice priest had a hard time dealing with the princess’s rising heat. It was strange. He kept absorbing the heat coming from the princess’s body, but the temperature of her body kept rising, which made him even more worried.

He wanted to tell the condition of the princess to the people outside, but the carriage was moving very fast, and when he peeked at the side, everything was dark. They had entered Birwick forest. As per the king’s orders, they wouldn’t stop, even for a second.
