Chapter 468: A Red Dragon And Lord Otis Appered!

The priest began to feel fear because the princess’s body began to sweat profusely. He tried his best to continue to absorb the heat that radiated from the princess’s body. His tears started to fall because he couldn’t do anything for the princess, and the fear began to engulf him.

With quivering eyes, he looked to each side of the darkened window. They still in the middle of Birwick’s Forest. The palace was still quite far away, but the condition of the princess was getting more and more difficult for him to control. The senior priests were exhausted after helping the princess earlier, so he was chosen to help the princess on the way to the palace.

However, this condition was very difficult...

Suddenly, a very hot hand touched his arm. With a wet face, the boy looked up and saw Arielle smiling at him.

"There’s no need to panic. My help will come soon."

"Your Highness...."

Arielle was trembling. She got up to sit up straight. Her body still felt very weak. The carriage suddenly shook, and they both heard the king shouted from outside the carriage. The dark window became bright. It seemed like morning had arrived, but with the Birwick Forest being so dense with trees, the possibilities of Northern light could break through it was a little.

The apprentice priest blinked at the sight of all the trees beside them, collapsing in one strong gust.

"Ronan D Blackthorn... I see so you’re still alive."

There was a sound booming so heavily with strong winds. Arielle touched the hand of the young man in front of her to stay in the carriage. The door opened slowly. The knight on guard forbade Arielle from getting out of the carriage.

Arielle looked up and saw a giant red dragon flying in the sky. Ronan, William, and Kael were already at the forefront, protecting the carriage that had Arielle in it.

"It looks like the wound my brother gave you failed to kill you," said the dragon.

Arielle smiled, recognizing the dragon. She walked with unsteady steps to get closer. Two knights who wanted to protect the princess held Arielle’s hands, which felt very hot in their grips.

"Lord Dragon! Are you with Lord Otis?!" Arielle shouted, making Ronan widen in surprise. He looked back and ran frantically, pulling Arielle into the carriage as fast as he could.

"Yo!" greeted someone who just poked his head out of the dragon’s back.

The red dragon with yellow eyes lowered its wings and stood valiantly intimidating Kael and William, as well as the two knights below.

"Tch, humans," said the dragon.

"Arielle!" Lord Otis said, then came down from the dragon’s back.

Everyone there was instantly stunned to see the resemblance of the foreign man who called the princess’s name so casually. Ronan pulled Arielle to stand behind him.

"Ronan, I know him," the girl said, but Ronan shook his head.

"Oh, my... they did it again? Putting a large amount of mana into your body, my daughter?" asked Otis who was worried seeing Arielle’s pale face was red with sweat dripping down her forehead.

Arielle shook her head. "I asked them to do it, Lord Otis. I want to help the people there."

Arielle gave Ronan a smile, and it left Ronan very confused by the situation. Who was this man named Otis? Why was he so similar to Arielle? Why did he call Arielle with my daughter? And why did Arielle, his wife, greet a red dragon that had killed hundreds of his knights like they were friends!?

Ronan immediately held Arielle’s body, which was almost falling. Lord Otis smiled at Kael and William who were blocking his way. They seemed to be bewitched and just opened the way for the strange man to approach the princess.

Otis crouched down and stared at Arielle’s face who was in pain.

"You’re on fire, my child. However, no one in this world can put out that fire but yourself. Arielle, it looks like you have to come with me much sooner than you should," said Otis, making Ronan growl.

"My wife is not going anywhere! Arielle will be handled by the priest in the palace!" Ronan said while hugging Arielle tightly.

Arielle’s breath hitched because she was having trouble breathing. Her whole body felt hot and burned her from within.

Lord Otis shook his head. "No, Ronan. Arielle must come with me immediately. Even Priestess Unor won’t be able to treat her."

"Priestess Unor!? You know my great-grandmother?"

"Just an old acquaintance. I have to take Arielle with me immediately," said Otis, making Ronan lift Arielle’s body.

Without thinking, and suspecting the strange man in front of him, he agreed to what the man had asked for. If the man really could heal Arielle faster, then Ronan would do it. Maybe the man lived nearby. He would escort them.

"Alright, then I’ll come along. I will do whatever it takes to heal my wife."

"I’m sorry, Ronan. Our place doesn’t accept... other people."

Ronan frowned.

"What do you mean!? I will not leave my wife alone!" Ronan shouted, making Otis feel bad.

Otis turned his head back to look at the dragon that was waiting for him.

"Ronan... trust Lord Otis... I.. will.. explain everything... after I... recover later...."

Arielle touched her husband’s mask, and those red eyes stared at her very intently.

"And let you go with a stranger?" asked Ronan, making Arielle frown.

She couldn’t take the pain anymore...

"I am the mysterious man your grandfather found. I came back to Mount Birwick with the permission of your great-grandfather. I am one of the chosen children of the Moon Goddess, just like Arielle. Can you trust me right now? Please hand over Arielle because she’s in a lot of pain right now, Ronan!" Otis said louder.

Ronan shook his head.

"Everyone can lie! Then, Arielle will return to the palace! Get rid of that dog of yours!"

"DOG!? YOU FILTY CURSED HUMAN!"

"Maxieno! Our goal is to save Arielle right now!" Otis scolded the red dragon behind him.
