"What?" he said.

"I’m pregnant," she repeated and silence followed.

He scoffed, he crook his head a little to the side.

"You planned this didn’t you?" he suddenly asked. His aura changing, it was becoming more than cold and icy, it was scary and intimidating. But she stared back at him head on.

She didn’t respond.

"You played me for a fool and I was such a fool to let you make a fool out of me. It all makes sense now, my family wants me to give them a heir and will make me marry whoever bears that heir.

"You took the opportunity and I was too blind to see the hidden motives behind your seductive beauty," he elaborated.

"I guess you were. I expected you to be smarter but I guess what they say about you was true and you couldn’t resist my charm.

"You brought this upon yourself, it’s not my fault your womanizing nature couldn’t as usual resist a beautiful woman." she finally responded, so courageously.

She doesn’t know where she was getting this bravery from. Why doesn’t she just use this bravery on Axel, was she more scared of Axel than this man?

He grabbed her arm not gently at all, it made her gasp and wince.

"Let go, you are hurting me," she responded but he didn’t let go.

"How dare you? You really have the audacity to speak to me that way after you deceived me. You took pills which I’m now sure that it wasn’t a contraceptive pill.

"No wonder you were so bothered when I wanted to get a condom, the way you urged me not to get one, I should have suspected something," he fumed.

"Yes! I deceived you, but I never forced you. You had a choice, now let go," Olivia responded. She saw as his gaze on her suddenly soften, so did his grasp on her.

"So that night was planned, everything about it. Why did you do it? Is it to be married into the Yul family for an alliance or to help your bankrupt company?" he asked and she looked at him a little surprised.

"If it’s the latter and you are probably wondering how I knew. Who doesn’t?" he continued.

"Are you really that cheap and desperate you can actually give away your virginity?" he asked. His words hurt her deeply but she didn’t care what he thought of her.

"Yes." she answered. He sighed and moved closer to her.

"Okay, but...wasn’t what we had a little real to you?" he asked.

"No." she lied.

"Do you really think I slept with you because I liked you?" she added.

He nodded.

"I won’t take responsibility," he declared. He would have accepted the pregnancy if she hadn’t played him.

Or, maybe, just maybe, if she hadn’t admitted of playing him, he would have accepted the pregnancy and just live with the feeling of her still playing him as she didn’t admit of playing him. Wasn’t that worse?

"What? You will. It’s yours," she responded.

"Why don’t you go sleep with another rich man and let him take responsibility?" he replied. She bit her lips at his hurtful words.

"I won’t. Are you that cruel to deny your own child?" she questioned.

"Cruel? You call me cruel!" he thundered. Her breaths hitched continuously as he glared down angrily at her. It was taking a lot from her to continue standing before him, to fight back her tears.

"I won’t let you use me like this. Get out," he said. He started walking towards his table, he picked up his drink and drank from it.

He turned to still see her there standing as if she was rooted to the ground.

"I said get out," he repeated calmly. Her fists clenched as she pursed her lips.

"I said get out!" he thundered and even threw the glass of whiskey on the floor.

She flinched to the sound of the glass smashing. She glanced at him. It was as if he was a totally different person. He looked like a devil as he fumed. She turned towards the door and left.

Leo clenched his fists once she was gone. His chest was so heavy, he was deeply hurt by what she did. After leaving abruptly that day, she welcomed him by pulling this stunt.

He never should have trusted her.

Axel was already at the waiting room when Olivia arrived. He stood up when she walked in.

"There’s my sweet sister. How did it go?" he asked immediately.

"He didn’t accept it. He said he won’t take responsibility," she informed.

"What? Why?" he asked.

"He figured out that I conned him," she replied.

"What? How? Did you admit to it?" he asked further.

"I had no choice-"

His slap cut her off, she glared back at him. Strands of dishevelled hair on her face.

"Don’t you dare give me that look. You are so stupid. Thank that child in your womb, I’d have dealt with you!" he said.

He started walking, pacing back and forth.

"How are we going to solve this now? He doesn’t want it? How can he not?" Axel soliloquized.

"See what we’ll do. If he doesn’t accept it, then we have no other choice but to go to his family. You will go to his family and inform them about your pregnancy," Axel continued.

"What?" she responded.

"What is ’what’?" he asked.

"I-I can’t do that," she replied.

"And may I ask why?" he inquired.

"I’ll try to convince Leo to accept the pregnancy but I can’t do something that shameful. How long are you going to continue using me to get what you want huh?

"How long are you going to continue making me to do shameful things? How many more shameful things are you going to make me do?" she replied.

"You shut up!" Axel shouted.

"You are still talking about your pride in this issue? Don’t even bring this up again. You should be grateful, you will be married to one of the richest men in the country. You better do as I say." he warned.

"You will go to his family when the right time comes then you’ll inform them of your pregnancy. They are so desperate for an heir from Leonard, so I’m very sure they’ll accept you and the pregnancy." Axel concluded.

He walked away.

Olivia went up to her room, tears in her eyes as she thought deeply.

What has she gotten herself into all in the name of family? It was too late to back out now.

Her eyes went to her stomach, she never received any serious symptoms before taking the test.

A smile appeared on her face. She never wanted to have a child in these circumstances but nevertheless, she will still love this child with all she has.

Even if the father of her child might hate her forever for what she did. Even if how the child was brought into existence was not a pleasant memory. It will even be the reason she will love her child more, she will never let her child feel unloved.

Leonard was in his car on his way to his parents’ mansion. They’d called him up, wanting to see him.

He sat at the back seat of the car with Zane as usual as the driver drove the car.

Zane’s eyes continued to linger on his boss. He has noticed that his boss has been unusually quiet these past few days. More quiet than usual.

It’s been days since Olivia paid him a visit.

What had happened still hurt and bothered him so much, the memory of it was still so fresh as if it just happened.

They arrived at the mansion.

The butler welcomed and showed them to the sitting room where his parents and even his younger sister, but excluding Gabriel, were already waiting for his arrival.

"Leonard? Welcome," his mother welcomed him, Leo pecked her cheek. He shared a nod with his father.

He was about to give his sister a side hug when his eyes landed on a woman who was also with them.

What the hell was she doing here?!
