Chapter 103: Vile, Dammed, Thing

In the midst of the smoke, chaos, panic and startled gasp he moved at first like a phantom. Their silence afterward had them all wondering what dared disrespected the holy courtroom of the werewolf kingdom. He moved with the bloodied decapitated head of a wolf guard dangling by his left side. The blood dripping from the severed neck trailing behind him as he held everyone’s breaths as he became clearer and clearer the more the dust from the ruined door settled.

Most people were forced to rise from their seats in shock as he stepped him like he owned the place. A cruel yet victory smirk at the corner of his perfect lips as more creatures rose to their feet in complete disbelief. His aura demanding silence while triggering so many chills down their entire back. His presence was enough to dampen the atmosphere. A dangerous aura he wrapped around himself like a shroud. Each step he took was like a confession of the number of wolf guards he killed, mutilated or assaulted before finding his way here alone. With no demons with him.

The head in his grasp enough to have most people retching out their guts in disgust, but he seemed to enjoy the welcome he received.

How was this possible?

What was he doing here?

Does he know about them being fated mates and has come to mock them?

Their God bonding their savior to the very thing they hated and stood determinedly against.

The dark royal robe that swayed behind him, the angered dragon pattern drawn to its back and the way he carried himself made the Alpha King look small in comparison to what he was capable of.

He was beautiful, but it was a shame if all his bodily blessings couldn’t be given the praises that it deserved if he wasn’t all that dark, evil and malevolent. They were charmed as well as frightened by his surprise visit. He caught them all off guards, and Evangeline wished she actually listened to the priest and remained in her room all the time like she was asked to do.

He stood right in the center of the massive hall. The first thing his eyes caught was the enormous statue and representation of the moon god. Eva didn’t fail to notice how those beautiful orbs of his darkened in annoyance at the sight. She was quick to look at anywhere else apart from where he was with a massive gulp of fear when his eyes found her. It lingered on her, and she had never been this comfortable before in all of her existence. She was just grateful that looking away was a thing or else... 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

’’You vile...damned....thing,’’ A vampire minister who was also called to join in this gathering before the Alpha King began. The only one bold enough to take a step towards the origin of all things abominable and damned.

The demon prince turned to the first to die in his hands in this accursed room.

’’How dare you walk into the court of the Alpha King after all you’ve done to us?!’’

The silence that followed his bold, confronting words was enough to have her anxiety kissing the high ceilings of this courtroom. No one could breathe properly when the devastatingly beautiful enigma and psycho turned his head a bit to the left at the raging vampire before a creepy smile of amusement like the ones you see the demons giving in those nasty horror movies once they have had their preys cornered to the wall.

All in did he responds to the Vampire’s brave words was to point a finger at him for the longest time. The vampire popped like a balloon right before their eyes. A marshy paste of both blood, bones and soggy flesh was all that remained of the Vampire at his feet. Those closest in to the victim had their faces covered and dripping with his blood and that was just the starting point of a much bigger nightmare after.

Eva couldn’t take it anymore. She turned to empty her guts of all that was in her to disgust at the bloodied scene. Everyone turning at her in alarm as she kept vomiting until her knees threatened to give up on her.

Darkness faced the shell - shocked Alpha King before slowly taking the steps that led to him. Darkness paused two to three steps away from her frightened father at the demon that presented itself before him. Their eyes meeting for the first time was the most intimidating event of his entire existence.

The entity they hated, loathed and preached against. The one they have been battling with for many centuries now was finally before him. Within his reach and he could do nothing but stare at him like a frightened toddler and a big fool.

Darkness tossed the head in his hands at the feet of the alpha king.

’’I am here for my bride.’’

Eva’s retching sound echoed louder in the room as her aunt and mother tried to hold her still and calm her.

’’That is one good thing you can’t hide from me,’’ he continued as a chilly silence punctuated his every word. ’’On a less terrible day, I don’t normally care. Let your senile god do her worst, I cannot be shaken. But I am finally getting the opportunity and a solid reason to deny my woman all of this and taking her back with me where she truly belongs.’’

Eva cried harder. Her hands trembling.

He knows.

From the moment she woke from this world, he knows.

And that hurt more than a heated knife being drilled mercilessly into your heart.

𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞;

Hi angels! (Devil’s smirk.)

I just realized now at this stage of my pursuit of being a good and recognized writer that at times just having passion for the course to not want to give up is not enough. You also need motivation and a clear sign to see if people love and appreciate the efforts you are making. Even if the writing doesn’t seem good or professional enough. Probably why I am rushing to get things done as fast as possible and maybe give up on this at some point...Sigh.

Anyway, I will try my best to give this book a satisfying ending to anyone who hasn’t given up on the story till this point <3
