Mated To The Demon Prince-Chapter 117: You Too
’’Your Darkness, I found her!’’
Eva quickly hid the god-slaying dagger in the large coat around her body and turned around to meet with the worst angered look on his face as he approached her with several demons trying to keep pace with him.
Eva held her breath, expecting the worst for trying to run away and being caught by him.
A beating.
A punishment.
Or a scolding from him.
But never him gathering her immediately in his arms and enveloping her into a tight hug. One of his arms around her waist and the other placed at the back of her head as he had her pinned to himself. Eva just let him, while not forgetting what Andrea said to her.
Could have been his reason for stepping into her life, and she has been foolishly making it all so easy for him to use her?
For what exactly?
Revenge?
To prove a point?
The more she thought about it, the more confused and heavier her heart was. She wanted to cry out and hold it all back in, like she has been good at doing the entire time.
When his arms loosed around her, he looked down, his palms cupping around her cheek as he forced her head up for her to look at him.
He noticed how unfocused her eyes were and wondered if something happened because she also looked like she was close to crying as well.
’’Escaping me, Charlotte, is like trying to reach for the stars on your tip toes. You would fall with the stars still far from your reach,’’ he said, and she slowly placed her hands on his. She removed it from her face and stepped back a bit to be able to breathe properly.
She has just be given a mighty weapon hand given by the darn goddess herself to destroy her imaginary lover she just discovered was an actual tyrant and a demonic entity whose intentions in her life was still unclear but hard to assume it will be pure.
She felt how he continued to drill holes into her with his glares on her and with the way, she was behaving.
Eva tried to imagine what will it be if she brought out the god-saying dagger hidden in her coat and stabbed him so hard with it.
A drop of tear escaped her eyes at such imagination.
What will happen after that?
Will Ree-ree just bleed out and die, or...
The touch of him around one of her hands with the weirdly shaped purple egg in them alarmed her a bit. She tried to hide that as well, but it was too late. He forced it out of her hands before she could and raised it up to his eye level to observe the strange egg. Her heart almost tore out of her chest the more he looked at the egg. Those beautiful demonic gaze of his fell on her in doubt and that was when she drew back in genuine fear but paused when demons were already behind her as well. As if fearing she would turn that way and run for her dear life.
She gulped the moment his eyes narrowed the more in on her in suspicion.
He surprised her the most when he took her hand again in his and placed the egg back in her palms, giving it back to her. She stared up at him confused if he wasn’t going to ask her what that was or where she got it from.
Eva jumped a bit when his hands curved around her arms tight but not painfully.
’’I will not be betrayed by you again, Charlotte. I will feed you the poison I will make just for you the moment that happens and watch you beg to live.’’
The way that rolled out of his lips didn’t feel like an empty threat. His eyes revealed his sudden doubts about her, and all she could was to nod her head to him as fast as she could. She tried to be sane after just being threatened of being poisoned by Ree-ree himself. He has no idea how good he was recently in tearing her mind apart bit by bit.
His hands wrapped around hers as he began to lead her down a set of familiar corridors and straight to the room they both shared.
His eyes following her possessively as she placed the egg safely on top of the table before the dark mirror in the room. Since he wasn’t that interested in knowing more about the egg, it was safe to act like it did not matter around him. How she was going to hide the dagger from him became the most challenging thing ever.
Those fiery gaze on her grew the moment she began to slip out of his coat. She folded it in-between her hands and turned her back from him.
’’Can... I have this?’’
He looked so much like the devil himself as he stood before the closed door of the room, looking slightly disturbed as he looked everywhere but her.
A beautiful devil, you would see and wish to fall at his feet in blasphemous worship.
’’I am dead serious, Charlotte. Betrayal is one of the sins against me, I don’t forgive. I forgave you the first time because it’s you. I will gladly watch you burn in the flames I set up for you if you should dare me on this.’’
’’Why have you been doing nothing but threatening to take my life since I saw you in your physical form?’’ Eva cried out when she has had enough of the choking threats. His eyes locked on hers again, and for a moment, he looked scarier than he is supposed to be. The expression on his face degenerating into a more sinister and devilish form and the aura around him dampening and negatively affecting her the more.
’’Because it is all I could think about.’’
Eva’s eyes widened in horror. It was like she has never met this monster before or once knew, loved, believed and throw away all her life just to be with him and please him as much as possible. She began to push back as much as she could when he began to approach her in lazy steps.
’’It’s best I should just throw away all my obsession about you and give you an easy death than torturing you in a way we would both hate the most should you betray me again.’’
’’I will not...betray you. Why do you keep saying that?!’’ She lied in frustration of how little he thinks of her.
The demon just stared at her in both disbelieve and in boredom.
’’Because... I am God. A divine being who knows and sees all...’’ he drew closer, making her heart race when the claws in his left hand began to tear out of his gloves.
A god?
Divine being?
Has he gone mad?
What is he talking about?
He had her suddenly backed up against the wall. One of his hands above her head and the other threateningly under her chin as more tears continued to flood her cheeks.
’’I hate you...’’ She choked out when he wouldn’t stop looking at her in that crazy and possessive way again. She tried to see if it was possible to lean so much on a wall enough to disappear into it but was greatly disappointed. The more tears that rolled down her beautiful face, the more broken he felt.
I hate you too,’’ he leaned until there was not too much space between their faces. That stone-cold look on his face, softening down at her. ’’More than you can imagine.’’
His kiss this time was the softest against her lips. It was like he was trying to make up for all the scary things he had been saying to her, and at the same time convey just how much she means to him.
His clawed hands carefully curving around her waist and claiming it as his as well. Every bit and fiber of hers was his. He wanted it so much that he intended to worship it for the rest of his miserable existence.
She was the only meaningful thing he wanted to keep holding on to, no matter how hard it seemed to reach her.
’’The worst you could do to me, Charlotte is to compel me to show you how lethal the monster I had become in the name of being betrayed. It’s too ugly that I do the best I can to stop you from seeing its face, to dangerous that I don’t want it to know you.’’
He gently began to wipe away the tears from her eyes before lifting her up and gently lowering her on the bed before climbing to lay by her side as well, drawing her close until she was secured and close until he could hear the fast thumping sound of her heart.
’’Charlotte, my beautiful, look at me.’’ He said after a while of her having her face turned away from him. He climbed on top of her when she refused, Eva moaning in protest as he claimed her lips once more, forcing these forbidden feelings all over her body. Her hands pinned to the dark sheets beneath her when she tried to resist, but all she could do in the end was to give in to this feeling he overwhelmed her with.
