Mated To The Demon Prince-Chapter 64: Bastards
He pulled her so painfully to himself that Evangeline thought she was going to suffer a dislocation from her jaw. Fresh tears began to cloud her eyes, and this was the perfect time to get possessed by that kind spirit of strength, she thought.
’’I am doing your family and the whole world a huge favor if I should force this acid down your throat or pierce your heart with one of this poisonous arrow, leaving you to die out here,’’ He said so close to her face causing the girl to close her eyes at the pain and awful breath of his mouth. Tears trickled down her flushed cheeks, and she deeply regretted not following Layla and Sisi to go and see their beloved Grandmother. None of this would have happened if she had agreed to go with them.
She would be safe and enduring whatever hate the young-old woman has to give her for being responsible for the death of her beloved daughter.
The slight popping sound of a bottle opening and the hard press of the bottle’s mouth very close to her lips had her trembling, her eyes wide in protest, and she struggled to free herself from his hold while not letting a drop of acid to have contact with her tongue.
The tears streaming down her cheeks were the ones of horror. As her resolve wavered and the ruthless alpha forced the deadly chemical toward her lips, Evangeline let out a muffled cry, squeezing her eyes shut against her fate. He forced her head a bit up as he struggled to push down the content of the bottle down her throat.
One of his hooded companions settled behind her to keep both of her hands behind her back.
She thought it was going to be over when she died, but she was in for a surprise. A dark black snake came hissing out of nowhere and having the alpha rising from his feet along with the other and all of them staggering back in fear at the length and thickness of it.
Evangeline collapsed onto the snow, her back sinking into the cold. She gasped for breath, her chest heaving, struggling to keep her eyes open as she stared at the endless blue sky. The humongous snake approached her with a speed faster than any of them could comprehend and both Alpha Jack and his pack of travelers all observed with fear, thinking she was the one who would be eaten first by the abomination.
Who would have thought such frightening creatures still existed and lived among them?
They could have hunted it down if they knew.
They could not imagine what’s more terrifying than having this size of snake slithering amongst them, or that the demon prince was probably nearby planning a second attack on them.
They shuffled backward, careful not to attract the snake’s attention. Its focus remained on the half-conscious body of its former mate. If not that he also wished her dead, he would have offered to help, but none of his men or ten thousand strong men combined could face this abomination and survive.
The snake immediately but carefully surrounded its body protectively around the only being his master genuinely cared about. It made sure its large body didn’t add any unnecessary pressure to her already weakened state.
The snake’s forked tongue slithered out in-between its fanged teeth when the girl looked up at him and gave up with her eyes closed.
’’Apophis, check if she is okay.’’
His ethereal voice sounded in the head of the snake as he viewed his beloved from the eye of the snake. His leg tapped impatiently on the ground as he sat restlessly on his throne.
All of this was his fault.
He should have found a better way for them to be together than to trust his nemesis to be useful to offer help.
The in suppressible urge to materialize there and wipe out that terrible community of wolves in one breath of fire from him had him restless. Nothing was as restless as knowing something of yours was currently trapped in the body of the enemy and in the enemy’s camp.
One wrong move towards the host and he might risk losing her forever.
The snake hissed at the command and lowered itself to see if the wolf within his grasp was okay, and luckily, she was—but unconscious.
He could not avoid the sight of her injured neck, and it pained him so much that he was sitting back and allowing her to go through this bullshit.
He leaned forward with his hands on his laps on his throne. His anxiety did not help him in thinking straight.
He was angry.
Mad.
Disgusted.
They can try any nonsense with him, but not with messing around with her.
’’Apophis, let me see him again.’’
The snake turned and directed its large body towards the retreating forms of the hooded cowards. They froze when Apophis hissed angrily at them until the point of them pissing in their pants.
His eyes glazed over them, one after the other.
’’One, two, three, four....hmm.’’ he counted them all and noted every one of their faces while leaning back to his throne in satisfaction. The sight of them being cowards again will make their upcoming play date more fun.
’’Apophis, take her back home and bring these bastards to me alive. I would like to make a few things clear to them.’’
The connection between him and his master was severed and Apophis began to crawl towards them with a hiss they would all remember for the rest of their lives.
☆
Apophis in his human form laid the unconscious girl in his arms on the bed of her room, after sneaking in through the window, before crawling back in his monstrous form towards the dungeons.
The doors to the courtroom opened and everyone’s gaze followed the dark, long entity moving towards the being sitting on the throne. The form of the snake looked bigger than usual which made the numerous demons present at court wonder what kind of entertainment was in-stall for them.
He was on his feet at the site of his forbidden pet. He was putting on a dark, long royal purple robe with a lining of gold at the edge. His long dark red hair falling over him like beautiful waves.
Lilith and Eve also rose to their feet from their sitting position on the stairs that lead to his throne. They have witnessed his master grow anxious and agitated throughout the day. And he was frustrated as well as worried.
They have never seen him behave like this. He had always seemed in control and unmoved. As he stepped down the stairs, they lowered their heads in respect.
Apophis paused before his master who paced back and forth at the bottom of his stairs. His hands clenched hard at his sides as he moved back and forth. The purple oversized robe made of the purest form of silk revealed a bit of his slender yet chiseled abs. A long chain dangling from it and around the tattoos drawn intricately around his body and all the way up to his neck. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
His blue-red eyes disregard the snake in displeasure and in anticipation.
When he paused in his restless movements, everyone in the courtroom with him seemed to hold their breaths.
’’I don’t see you bringing those bastards to me like I told you to do.’’
Apophis gave out a low hiss before moving its overweight body and began to vomit out the body of the people he engulfed, but was careful not to digest them a few hours ago. It was a disgusting thing that most demons had to turn away in repulsion except him.
The last unconscious body the titan snake pushed out of his digestive tract was the one from the Alpha of this pack.
One look from the demon prince and a group of demons came rushing in with a large bucket of water in which the members of the Jaggering teeth were bathed unceremoniously with it. The saliva and other digestive secretions Apophis showered on them was washed away instantly and the act had most of them regaining consciousness.
Even Alpha Jack.
Once they found their feet, and they looked around to see they were in his territory.
The feared evil dungeon.
They figured out that they were abducted and brought to this place for punishment.
The Demon Prince smiled when their eyes collectively fell on him in both awe and horror. There was no need for any further introductions to whom would be taking the pleasure to ensure their deaths were as painful and traumatizing as it could be.
The hot burn of Hell’s whip firmly attached to his wrist gave him multiple ideas of torture.
Their first mistake was to be loathed by him and allow themselves to be brainwashed by the nonsense of the moon god.
The second mistake and the most unforgivable one...
His eyes locked with the Alpha who looked so terrified at the true existence of him.
Was...
