Mated To The Demon Prince-Chapter 81: Foggy
’’Strip her,’’ Darkness gave the next command. His demons moved and began to tear down her cloth until she was naked. His eyes fell on Eve kneeling, holding one of his legs and pleading for his mercy.
He is not a merciful person.
Why do they find it so hard to understand?
That’s why they should constantly strive to be perfect. To avoid being in situations like this.
He couldn’t believe they would do such a thing in his absence. No one cared if he approved of a person caught wandering in his territory to be whipped to death. Especially when it was someone he genuinely cared about, and he could have lost her again to them for their foolishness. They were not babies. They should understand their right from wrong, and they get praised if they did well and rebuked if they should get on his nerves.
Ten demons surrounded a naked and sobbing Lilith, each holding on to one of Hell’s best whip that was made solely to induce trauma on every part of the victim’s body down to the roots of their spine.
He was going to test how strong she was to withstand all whips she would be receiving for their entertainment tonight.
Darkness reached down to grab a fistful of Eve’s hair, raising her head up until she leveled with his stares. Every demon present in the room watched in silence as he oppressed both sisters, making their spine tremble in fear terribly.
’’Your worthless existence has no meaning to me. I could end you both right now and shall be forgotten the next minute.’’
Tears streamed down the demoness’ face as his hold on her hair grew more painful, but she dared not fight back or else it was over. She still needs to be alive to plead for her sister’s sake. One whip from those demons was enough to tear her apart.
’’Your purpose was simple, but I am sure it did not involve you both making decisions on my behalf and misbehaving with any caught trespassing.’’
It got so painful, she thought her scalp would begin to fall apart little by little. She moaned in pain and tried to free herself from his painful grip.
The other demons couldn’t watch. Their eyes turned from horror.
’’I am so mad that I could skin you alive right now.’’
Eve’s heart began to race along with the pain she was feeling. She cried out multiple times, but it all fell on deaf ears.
Darkness leaned back in his seat, releasing the hold he had on her to give the first demon a go ahead in their torture.
It wasn’t enjoyable watching her get whipped multiple times on her back by the demons. Her screams of pain loud enough to haunt the demons with him in this room.
But she deserved it.
Her pain and terror could never be compared to the one his human faced here in his absence. Only Hell knows what else they might have done to her apart from chasing her like a maniac with a whip.
After multiple blows that seemed unending, she fell unconscious before them all and was a bleeding mess from head to toe. He heard a funny rumor that she was provoked or should he say challenged by a lower ranked demon to do what she did.
But if his closest demons easily get provoked by the brainless ones, then it is safe to say they are not worth having them both by his side anymore.
They should have known by now that the lower demons were smart troublemakers. Get you in tight shit and vanish when you bear the consequences of your actions. He knows them too well because he trained them to be like that.
Lilith’s unconscious and bloodied form was picked up and ordered to be kept in one of the cells to rot for a while. Eve should be her cellmate until he decides what’s going to happen next to the both of them.
Everyone else was dismissed except Apophis who fell on one knee to report delivering her back home safe and sound.
’’Pophis,’’ he called with a small tilt of his head. The enigma moved up the stairs to settle at the feet of his master’s throne. ’’Tell me something I haven’t heard from you about her before.’’
The enigma lowered his head to think as he felt his master’s gaze heavy on him in silent anticipation.
’’She isn’t that particularly excited about schooling there.’’
A small smile of amusement cradled his lips as he imagined her being a grumpy–cute—adorable wolf who hated school. He wouldn’t blame her for being so apathetic to schooling there, when it couldn’t be as fun and engaging as the one down here in the dungeons.
’’She has two annoying friends that loves to be by her side at all times, and they sincerely care for her.’’
Hmm, interesting.
She has friends.
It’s like this life was the the opposite of the life he was more familiar with. Even if her best friends were still her cousins, It didn’t hurt to know they wouldn’t endanger her in any way.
’’What else? Who else is involved in her life that I should know of?’’
Apophis stared at his master thoughtfully. Not knowing whether it was proper to bring this up or not. His recent observation about this particular individual and his interest in his master’s girl...
’’They call him the Elf prince.’’
That seemed to move Darkness in many ways. The smile left his face in a blink as his expression grew grim.
There is a male acquaintance involved in her life?
’’The elfs have a prince?’’
Apophis nodded his head slowly, not knowing how lightly his master would take this if he should tell him the rest of his observation. Judging by making his existence known to him has Darkness at the edge of his seat. Eyes darkened possessively at the thought of a silly Elf prince fooling around with her and distracting her from being focused and making the best memories of her second go at life.
’’What about it?’’ Darkness asked, failing to pretend as if he didn’t care who this individual has grown to be in his princess’s life. Whatever the elf prince wanted to be in her life could be prevented with the memories of Ree-ree keeping her forever bound to him.
But now that he has set her free from it...
His jaw spasmed as he applied more pressure on his clasped fingers.
It was terrible to imagine.
’’Well, he is...’’

Evangeline woke up the next morning with the foggiest memory ever. Her head felt like it was being drilled the more she tried to remember. Apparently, they told her she disappeared a few days ago, and they’ve been tirelessly looking for her. Her mother refused to let her go, scared she might lose her only child to the demons.
She went everywhere she went, and they have been sleeping together. Her mother literally panics if she should not be in her line of sight for a second. This sudden possessive behavior had everyone in concern. Even their father was worried.
It’s like her already crumbling world has been leveled if she wasn’t within her reach. Eva couldn’t complain. It’s the best she could do after being responsible for the real Evangeline being trapped somewhere she could not be freed from. It wasn’t that bad.
Her schooling was paused until where she disappeared to was clearer, and her memories were returned.
’’Eva?’’
’’Yes?’’
Her mother placed her cup of tea back on the table between them.
’’Layla and Sisi told me before you disappeared, Grandmother Supreme gave you a secret task to do before the end of that week.’’
Eva frowned, wondering what that task was and how Layla and Sisi knew about it and she didn’t.
’’A–a task?’’
’’Yes, love. If you know what it is, please let me know Evangeline. You know you can tell me anything Eva.’’
Evangeline sat in silence to figure out when she was given something to do and if she was, how did that play with her disappearance.
It was like some parts of her memory were deliberately taken away from her. She could not even explain the scars on her back and arms which hurt at times. Her mother and family have been trying their best to get rid of it.
Was she kidnapped, abused then returned with the memory of it taken from her to keep their act buried?
’’I don’t...remember...’’
’’Your Grandmother has refused to talk to us when your father visited recently concerning this issue. She has also asked to keep you far away from her, and she doesn’t want to speak to any of us. Her moon temple was...defiled when we got there. She has also refused to say anything about how it happened to her.’’
Eva stared down at her empty cup of tea in deep thought, processing all her mother’s words bit by bit. But a part of her memory was still far from her reach which was only going to fuel this mystery.
’’Don’t worry, mother. She will be fine once I visit her myself tomorrow. Whatever I remember happened, you will always be the first to know about it.’’
Astha stared at her daughter for the longest time before spreading her lips into a warm smile. She was just glad the goddess was merciful to spare at least one of her pups. Her favorite one. Heaven wouldn’t be able to predict what she’ll do if anyone dares touch her precious Evangeline.
The queen leaned forward to refill her empty cup with fresh tea for her to drink. Evangeline thanked her before bringing the cup to her lips to have a small sip.
’’Oh and before I forget, your father and I have agreed on something concerning you which I feel its best you know now and start to prepare yourself for it.’’
Eva blinked wondering what decision was made by them about her.
