Mated To The Demon Prince-Chapter 83: Moon Dance 1
"I have an older sister that will be getting married to a vampire lord soon."
Older...sister?
It was then pretty obvious that your position in birth is not how they choose their heirs in this world. It is more of your worth and how useful you could be. Which made this world more interesting than it appeared to be.
"I was awake all night trying to understand why she would fall in-love with a monster. He could go hungry one evening and decide to make her his next meal..."
Eva gasped at his thoughts. "I am sure he wouldn’t."
Prince Xalith chuckled in disbelief.
"If he loves her too he wouldn’t do anything that will harm her."
"Right."
Why did that sound so sarcastic?
Did he not believe in the love his sister and her vampire love shared for each other?
"I honestly believe the love between two races is stupid and can never be genuine. But guess what?"
His forest green eyes seized her up making her heart beat faster for no reason.
"What..."
"I am slowly becoming one of those fools, and I am afraid that it might only get worse."
Eva really didn’t understand him there but just nodded and proceeded to read.
"Come to the moon dance festival with me, Your Highness."
She raised her head a bit surprised by his words only to shrink back when she found him directly to her face as if he wanted to enter her.
"What?" She breathed out the second time as she tried to put as much space between them. He smiled down at her with his eyes beaming with a different spark.
"The moon dances. It would be perfect. Just me and you."
"Uh..."
How do you politely reject someone?
"I... have a..."
"Please."
He became desperate. His rich green eyes silently begging her to come along with him to this weird festival she has no idea of what it is about.

Eva sat quietly on her bed as Layla and Sisi continued their monstrous invasion in her closet. Trying to find out the perfect outfit for her date night with the Elf prince.
When they found the perfect dress, they forced her into it and put on her a matching winter dress over it and boots. Her hair was styled in a way she thought was ridiculous, and her eyes were darkened with mascara and in a few minutes she was ready to join him.
"Be sure to let him kiss you when he wants to, Eva!"
WhaaaaaAt?
She turned to Sisi for an explanation. Layla only chuckled nervously beside her sister and explained on her behalf.
"What she meant to say was that have fun! Lots of fun with him!"
Then they both grinned at her like this was some kind of romantic outing with the prince.
"Sure, I will." She gave them each a narrowed look before leaving her room.
☆
It was a colorful event.
Fireworks everywhere and thankfully snow wasn’t falling on them.
Vesta?
Yes?
What is this moon dance festival all about?
’ I better know before I embarrass myself before the elf prince.’
It is a bimonthly event we do to show our faith in the moon goddess. It is meant to represent our belief in good one day conquering over evil. And we celebrate like how we would celebrate when the day comes and the Demon Prince is announced dead.
Ahh.
Eva nodded her head in understanding, making the Elf prince strolling beside her look down at her in wonder of her thoughts.
"How are you feeling currently?"
He asked as they joined the crowd to gather sideways anticipating something. They were each holding on to a mask they bought earlier and were expected to wear just like everyone else.
Eva wondered why she blushed.
"Good."
"Hmm. I was expecting thrilled."
She smiled and followed his movements while putting on her mask. He was a red flaming dragon, and she was...she had no idea how to describe what was on her face.
Suddenly, the crowd began to cheer and clap as more fireworks exploded in the distance to add to the joyous mood. A large Calvary of people cosplaying as supposed demons from the dungeons were performing in the most demonic way possible. They were dancing and being flexible with it. The demons were making insidious looks and heart stopping snarls at the crowd as the calvary paused in the middle of the street.
It was creative to watch. Their precise movements and coordination was flawless, and they really portrayed hell to the crowd in the best way they could.
Eva saw in the midst of the crowd another set of dancers. Cosplaying as moon guards creeping up the Calvary of demons to give them a surprise attack as they playfully slit the throats of those told to act like their captives and cheered with each kill.
The dance drama then progresses with the moon guards being carried by ropes in the air to attack the train filled with demons. It was an interesting dance fight Eva wished to see happen all over again.
Just when the wolf guards were about to proclaim victory over the demons, the dark-red curtains opened to reveal a malevolent being, their God, the demon prince sitting patiently behind them on a chair made of thorns.
The one presenting as the demon prince in charge of all these demons was dressed beautifully as a malevolent entity. Hellish chains draped beautifully around his neck and naked torso as he rose mightily to his feet. His face was completely hidden under a thin red material that was adorned with beautiful tiny crystals that sparkled under the light of the moon.
Tattoos of hell and torture adorning the whole of his body as he dominated over them with his aura and looks.
No one expected this actor to take cosplaying as the King of demons this seriously to plant permanent tattoos and inscriptions of hell all over his gleaming body.
He was taller than most of them.
They turned to see one of the actors cosplaying as a wolf guard came to them and presented Prince Xalith with a fake sword that has golden spirals at the handle and inscriptions of the half moon and other symbols on the blunt blade.
Eva stared at the wolf guard confused and then at Prince Xalith who received the sword before giving it to her.
