Mech: Shattering of the Galaxy-Chapter 1319 - 54: Are You Looking for Trouble?
Getting paid to get the job done, that's the reality of Grey Forest Star.
Everyone here lives on the edge; who cares about reputation or status?
The bar paused for a moment and then continued to immerse in a drunken haze.
Those burly figures emerging from the crowd carried a scent of blood and fire.
"Heard there's a reckless kid who showed up?"
"You got called in too?"
A few intelligence brokers who usually stayed out of each other's way met, and the smiles faded a bit.
Who doesn't understand the rules and called them all together like this?
Either it's a big client or sheer ignorance.
Sogert, the bar manager, casually pointed at Mu Fan, "That kid over there wants to buy information, seems like he has money."
Upon hearing the last sentence, the brokers' eyes lit up simultaneously.
They loved hearing such info.
Looking in the direction, amidst the mess, a young man sat on the sofa, looking over with a calm gaze.
Alone...
Not very old...
No other companions...
Seems like we can pull a fast one.
Some of the shrewd guys had nasty thoughts flash through their minds.
"What kind of information is the boss looking to buy?"
Several guys sat down with grins, ready to talk business as seasoned pros.
"I'm Andre Grove, there's nothing about the western district of Sinless City I don't know or can't find."
A bearded man lit up a cigarette, sat down with one leg crossed over the other, showing arrogance.
"Carl, anything east of Sinless City you can ask me, as long as you can pay," chuckled a small figure mischievously.
"Eustace, what's up?" A burly guy with a metal mask sat down, snapped his fingers to order a vodka with ice.
The other three didn't speak; they just grinned casually and sat down.
Maybe, in their eyes, this young guy doesn't quite qualify for them all to meet; it's more about giving face to Sogert, the manager of Bloody Mary.
Sogert leisurely walked by with a glass of wine, "Here we have all the top intelligence brokers at this bar, you have five minutes to chat, hope you find your desired information."
And then he strolled away.
Ancient Relic [Forest].
Or... 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
Mu Fan blinked, prepared to speak.
"Make it brief, my time is valuable. If it's a small matter, I'm leaving," Eustace downed the vodka in one go, grinning widely, flashing silver metallic teeth.
His head seems modified.
"Hahaha."
Eustace's straightforward words instantly drew laughter from those nearby.
The metal-faced man didn't take Mu Fan seriously; he was called over right when he was enjoying a drink, thought it would be something big.
Without a companion, how big could the business be?
He's been rather kind not to hurt anyone.
"Is it Mr. Eustace?" Mu Fan raised his head, narrowed his eyes.
"Speak up." Eustace said impatiently, here on Grey Forest Star, no one cares who you are.
"Fine."
Mu Fan interlaced his fingers and smiled, "You can get lost."
In the narrow space, a dead silence fell.
Eustace's surprised expression froze; he felt he might've heard wrong.
Is this kid out of his mind?
Or doesn't want to leave Sinless City alive.
"You brat, say that again..."
"I said you can get lost, you're not needed here." Mu Fan remained calm.
The metal-faced man laughed in anger.
"Daring to insult me, Eustace, today I'll smash your knees," the metal-faced man raised a double-barreled shotgun, aiming the dark muzzle at Mu Fan.
However, at this moment, no one expected the young man sitting calmly on the sofa to draw a massive golden handgun faster than Eustace.
The muzzle aimed at Eustace, pulling the trigger.
Bam!
The gunshot stunned everyone.
A ball of blue electricity slammed into Eustace's chest.
In the erupting light mist, Eustace was blasted back three meters, foaming at the mouth, twitching on the ground.
Mu Fan casually put down the High Magnetic Storm Pistol, glanced around, "Sorry for taking up your time."
The sudden fierce action, followed by his calm demeanor, made him more frightening.
"But he's Eustace, you're in big trouble..." Carl, the sleazy little guy, swallowed.
"So what?"
"If he wakes up for revenge, he will really kill someone."
"Then I'll kill him first."
Mu Fan's cold words stopped Carl's speech.
After this incident, everyone's demeanor turned serious, including the three who hadn't spoken, ditching their casual attitude.
"Now for business." Mu Fan said calmly, "Anyone here in the arms trade?"
Poof!
Andre Grove just downed half a glass of tequila, and upon hearing this, he sprayed it over the attendant beside him.
Er?
Mu Fan looked at them, discovering the expressions on their faces were unbelievable, even tinged with fear.
"What's the matter?"
"You're not joking, right?" Carl fixed his words.
"Does it seem like it?" Mu Fan retorted.
"Sorry, sir, we can't take this business, apologies, apologies."
Carl was about to say more, but his pupils shrank, quickly grinning, standing up to leave.
The rest shook their heads gently, preparing to exit.
"What's the meaning?"
"In Bloody Mary, in any bar of Sinless City, no one can discuss arms deals, are you new here, don't know the rules?"
A crisp voice emerged, a slender figure in tight leather attire walked over leisurely, the cloak couldn't hide her appealing body.
Those black leather boots, revealing fair skin, made it hard to look away.
When the cloak dropped, clear eyes on a pretty face made many swallow hard.
This chick... too damn pure!
A perfect mix of angel and devil.
Even the departing brokers hesitated.
"You can call me Mei, giggle."
The disguised Ye Mei sat confidently on the sofa's other end, flashed Mu Fan a sweet, charming smile.
Her refined appearance tempted many hearts.
"You're not from Sinless City, don't drag us into your trouble, girl!"
Some brokers said coldly.
Ye Mei giggled softly, bashfully bowed, "If you guys don't take the business, I still can, Sinless City isn't restricted to just you guys."
After speaking, she gazed at Mu Fan, "Care to share what kind of business, I'm quite interested."
Watching the self-called Mei's unassuming manner, which subtly expressed goodwill, entirely prepared a way of escape.
Moreover, with beauty on his side, many were watching closely.
Mu Fan naturally felt differently towards her, nodded.
"I'd like to sell some arms, anyone capable of handling it? First-come, first-serve for agency rights."
"How big is the scale? Maybe Mei can try her hand." The amorous words made nearby drunk individuals howl.
But Carl and the others turned pale, looking at a rugged man wearing a wolfskin hat, upper body exposed, striding over from the corner.
"No matter the scale, arms trade in Sinless City belongs to the Blood Teeth Team, you're..."
"Assuming you're courting death?"
A chilling voice came from behind, the atmosphere suddenly shifted.
