MMORPG: I was BUGGED-Chapter 300: Countdown to Victory
"No contract can hold us," Eclipse continued, his arrogant tone cutting through the tension. "The only fault of those losers is that they didn’t even consider a blood contract."
Xin remained unfazed, aware of Eclipse’s motives.
Though he didn’t anticipate the depth of Eclipse’s treachery, he couldn’t entirely blame him. In the competitive gaming world, such ruthless strategies were unfortunately common.
"Do you think you’ll get away with this?" Victor challenged.
Eclipse’s head tilted, a sly smile on his face as he confidently replied, "Yes."
The snake-headed Medusa moved, crushing Fighting Bunny in its grasp. She disintegrated into particles as her HP hit zero, a cascade of curses directed at Eclipse rampaging out of her mouth.
"Don’t think you can escape the consequences of your actions! Phoenix Rising, Brotherhood Legion, and the others will come after you. We’ll wage war on your guild, and every Shadowblade member we encounter will pay—argh!"
Eclipse inserted a finger into his ear, annoyed. "Such a loud woman," he remarked, relishing the sudden silence. "Ah. Finally, peace and quiet."
Victor and Xin tensed as Eclipse’s eyes locked onto them.
"Now it’s your turn."
Gritting his teeth, Victor readied his sword. "Hey, X, can you summon your golems and those mannequin things?"
Without a word, Xin summoned two golems for defense and two mannequins for offense, positioning them strategically as they prepared for the impending confrontation.
"Can you summons more? Eclipse might be alone, but he is a guild leader and his level is 120+ you know." Victor lamented.
"We still have the final boss to worry about," Xin advised Victor. "It’s better if we avoid a direct confrontation and buy ourselves some time."
Victor was intrigued. "What do you mean?"
Ignoring Victor’s question, Xin turned his attention to Eclipse. "You’re confident because you believe you can secure the final information on your own."
"I know I will," Eclipse replied, oozing with confidence.
Glancing at the five-minute mark on the horizon, Xin challenged him further. "Are you absolutely sure? If we survive and the final boss appears, all your scheming will crumble."
Victor’s realization struck him like a lightning bolt. That’s right. Why hadn’t he realized it sooner?
Eclipse’s entire plan hinged on monopolizing the final information, and if they survived to share it with the other guilds, Eclipse would lose his only advantage.
However, instead of showing concern, Eclipse chuckled before his face returned to its usual lethargic expression. "That’s not even a problem. I should just kill you before the timer ends."
With an unsettling speed that surpassed all the adversaries Grey Smoke had encountered thus far, Eclipse materialized abruptly behind him.
The air crackled with the ominous energy of impending danger as Eclipse prepared to unleash his deadly arsenal upon the unsuspecting Grey Smoke.
Victor’s reflexes finely honed from countless battles, barely had time to react before Eclipse’s lethal spells came raining down upon him.
The Venomancer’s movements were a blur, each strike meticulously calculated to exploit any opening in Victor’s defense.
Eclipse’s spells were insidious, leaving lingering effects that added to the complexity of the battle.
Eclipse’s ability to summon poisonous creatures at will further compounded Victor’s challenges.
From the depths of darkness, venomous serpents and nightmarish arachnids emerged, ready to strike at Victor’s vulnerable points.
The battlefield turned into a nightmarish dance, with Eclipse orchestrating a deadly symphony of poisons and shadows.
Meanwhile, Xin found himself engaged in a fierce battle with the monstrous Snake Medusa. His two golems stood as stalwart defenders, shielding him from the creature’s relentless attacks.
The Medusa’s attempts to petrify Xin were in vain, as his immunity to such effects gave him a unique advantage.
However, Xin faced a different challenge altogether — the sheer strength and speed of the Snake Medusa.
Its monstrous form coiled and struck with lightning-fast accuracy, making it a formidable opponent.
Amidst the tumultuous clash on the battlefield, Xin found himself at the epicenter of the chaos, surrounded by the protective embrace of his summoned golems.
These towering guardians stood sentinel, their sturdy frames absorbing the assaults of the Snake Medusa with unwavering resilience.
However, it was Xin’s two mannequins that danced on the fringe of the fray, engaged in a high-stakes skirmish with the monstrous Snake Medusa.
These arachnid-like constructs, swift and lethal, darted in and out of the shadows, their movements reminiscent of deadly predators closing in on their prey.
The Snake Medusa, a behemoth of strength and speed, swung its monstrous form with unrivaled ferocity.
The mannequins, though exquisite in their agility and lethality, were not impervious to the sheer might of their opponent. Each strike from the Snake Medusa shattered the mannequins into a flurry of fragments.
Yet, amidst the wreckage — the core of the mannequins remained intact. While their fragile limbs and exterior were easily shattered, the essential core, the heart of their existence, endured, and they easily reformed and got back into battle.
The two arachnid mannequins, though weakened, demonstrated a tenacity that defied their fragile appearance.
They continued to weave through the battlefield, exploiting the Snake Medusa’s blind spots with their remarkable speed. Their attacks, though lacking in brute force, were a symphony of precision and lethality.
Xin’s focus was on the defensive, a strategic choice dictated by the countdown timer.
In this confrontation, there was no need for wanton destruction or the pursuit of victory through aggression.
As long as the timer reached its inevitable conclusion, victory would be theirs.
The golems were steadfast in their defense, and absorbed the brute force of the Snake Medusa’s attacks, allowing Xin the crucial moments needed to maintain the defensive line.
The mannequins, despite their fragility, continued to harass and distract the monstrous foe, buying precious seconds that counted down on the timer.
Meanwhile, Victor and Eclipse’s battle shifted dramatically.
Eclipse, with his mastery over poisons and elusive movements, managed to wear down Victor’s defenses.
The Dual Wielder fought valiantly, parrying and dodging Eclipse’s attacks, but the relentless assault took its toll.
Victor was already weakened by Eclipse’s spells and the venomous creatures that lurked in the shadows that attacked him whenever he wasn’t looking.
