I talked to the fairy
“You think it’s because fairies are curious about children? Well, it was all decided long before I was born, so I don’t know the details. They say it’s because children are pure when it comes to their feelings… But I am not sure.”
Her answer was not very reliable.
Well, she did not know who made the conditions for the contract, as it was a very long time ago.
It was a similar situation with the familiar contracts.
I also asked her why she was covered in wool, but she just plainly answered that fairies were like that.
Still, it helped to absorb shock, so it didn’t really hurt when Cokka was pecking at her.
“So, about Ms. Gelda forgetting…”
“That’s just how it is. According to our chief, we fairies take the memories and reasons in the moment the contract is made.”
“Like energy?”
“Energy? Uh…I suppose it does give us a kind of power?”
Perhaps it was the child’s emotions they took.
Like Ms. Gelda’s sadness at being rejected.
She had not lost the memory completely, but she had almost forgotten it until reminded. That was how weak the memory was to her.
And so the talk with the butler ended so smoothly…

And so while she tried to save Ms. Gelda from serious injury, she was not always sure if she succeeded.
That was why she became active as soon as she had the vague idea that a man was nearby.
“I still don’t know why this led to Ms. Gelda being clumsy…”
“Because being clumsy would keep the beastly men away! And then Gelda will not be sad!”
“…I think you would just make her sad in a different way…”
“What! I…I think…it’s just a matter of values?”
Claire and the fairy were arguing now.
In the end, they would have to ask Ms. Gelda what she thought about that.
Like that, we talked to the fairy for some time. And then the preparations for the sleeping areas for the fenrirs was complete. And so Leo and the Feri guided them.
Aside from the stables, they had made a spot in the back garden where a tent was set up to protect them from the rain. Well, it was more like a giant tarp.
Even if they were used to being outside, they would not want to be under the rain the whole time…

The following day, I made sure that the fenrirs were comfortable, and continued preparations for the move to Range Village until it was past midday.
Alfred informed me that the servants had been gathered together in the drawing room, and so I went there.
“…Uh, this is more than I expected.”
That was the first thing I said upon entering the room.
At a glance, there appeared to be at least thirty…
And I had only expected between five and ten.
Also, I saw that Leo and Liza were waiting there as well.
“Everyone was interested in this matter, Mr. Takumi… Well, the matter between you and Lady Claire. And so they came as soon as I asked them. Of course, while I did my best to get as many people as possible, I didn’t think…” 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Alfred sighed.
He was enthusiastic about it yesterday. But even he knew that this was a little extreme.
Well, at this point, I was just glad the entire household was not present…
