My Favorite Game Followed Me!-Chapter 681
Chapter 681
Anton learned from Raymond, the family butler, while eating breakfast that the four novice wizards he had brought from New Drennor were in their rooms studying magic at that moment.
“Their magic studies will usually last from morning till late in the afternoon. Those four and their teachers would eat in their classroom during those hours, but after that, their time is their own. The four young men would usually remain inside their classroom practicing magic,” Raymond reported.
Anton knew that Kirk, Mesono, Omar, and Abdul were diligent because they were new to the world of magic. Based on the butler’s report, their teachers were teaching them information about being a wizard in a wizard kingdom like Ormunda, possibly like wizard etiquette, history, the basics of wizardry, and more. During the afternoon, they would then revert to memorizing and casting their spells to increase their wizardry rank.
He did not doubt Raymond’s competency when it came to finding the four young wizards a magic teacher. He was sure that the four were learning everything they needed to learn to become competent wizards, and if he was being honest, Anton needed that kind of information as well. The only thing that allowed him to bypass being an ignorant wizard when it came to things other than casting his particular brand of spells was because of his power.
Anders arrived and joined him for breakfast.
“I’ll be leaving today for the dungeon later,” Anton’s father told him.
“What’s your Paladin level?”
“I’m level 32. This week, I’m testing the Hammerdin build.”
“The first build that you’ve tried was the Foher build or the Fist of Heaven build, and now you're testing the Hammerdin. Both are caster builds. I thought you were partial to being a warrior?”
“I never said I’m partial to being a warrior. If you want to describe me, I’m partial to power. When you first asked me to memorize spells, I found it tedious and would rather bash monsters in the head, but the classes that I have right now allow me to cast spells without memorizing them first. It’s like a shortcut to becoming a powerful wizard.”
“Just remember to leave some points to the Paladin’s other skills so you can still use them.”
“Of course. I would not be able to survive otherwise without the Paladin’s healing skills.”
After breakfast, Anders left to prepare himself for delving into the dungeon. According to Raymond, Anders’ earnings from dungeon delving, at least the one that he saved in the treasure room, which was probably just a portion of his total earnings, were almost half of the weekly earnings of the manor’s businesses. Anton just shrugged since he did not care. As long as the manor was flourishing, that was enough for him.
Anton knew that if he was the one minding the manor’s accounts, one could rob him blind. Thankfully, it was Anders and the others' job to do something tedious as the accounts.
Raymond then left to gather concrete information on how Anton could confirm his rank as a Supreme Wizard. In the meantime, Anton started roaming around. Since Luna and Alfred were now attending school outside, he could not visit them, so he went to Kirk’s and the others’ class. A maid led him to where the four young wizards’ classroom was located. He saw through the glass door the old wizard who was teaching the young men and the look of concentration on the four’s faces. He did not enter and bother them. Just thinking about staying to learn made Anton shudder. Again, he was thankful that he was powerful enough not to become a student like them. He even found the practice of spell memorization and casting tedious when it came to increasing mana level, and was thankful that he only needed to play his favorite game inside his Diablo II system in order to increase his power.
When he checked his Globe of Browser sharing, he noticed that the tiny globes were now available, and that meant that Luna had someone record the episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender that he had given them today. So the next thing he did was visit Romina in the cinema to give her three new movies. He planned to give the Star Wars franchise to Romina to show to the moviegoers.
Anton discovered that the family now had several carriages. Thankfully, everyone seemed to know him, so when he requested to be brought to the cinema, a carriage and a driver were assigned to him immediately. There was even a footman included. He felt like one of those nobles from one of those television shows about nobles like Bridgerton.
At the cinema, Anton was stopped by the guards when he tried to enter. The guard then pointed at the rules written on the board near the doors. The board also had the movie schedule. He did not want to bother the guards, so he cast his newly learned Message Sending spell, the one he used to talk to Kirk, and sent a message to Romina.
“Anton, what are you doing here?” Romina asked when she, together with three assistants and two bodyguards, arrived to meet him.
“I brought three new movies to the cinema. It’s the first three movies from a nine-movie science fiction franchise called Star Wars.” 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
“Your father told me about that. I think he told me that it was about a young man learning wizardry called the Force and travelling to different planets using a ship that can travel outside the planet. Am I right?”
“Yes. Do you think the Ormundans are ready to watch something like that?”
“We still have a lot of movies that they haven’t seen yet. By the time we’re going to be able to show them those movies, they should be ready,” Romina assured him.
“If you can copy them right away, I’ll give the next three films immediately. I’ll be staying in the manor for a few days, so I think it’s best that we hoard a few more movies before I leave for my next adventure.”
“I’ll handle the recording immediately.”
After that, they talked about the cinema. Romina was filled with excitement when she described the cinema business. Everyone loved the films, and not only the ordinary citizens but wizards as well. Romina then told him that there were imitators already, but those were just ordinary theater plays that were recorded using a recording magic.
“They were learning, though. Because of magic, after a few years, they can rival the movies that we were showing,” Romina said, but instead of getting worried, Anton happily noted that Romina was only excited. Strictly speaking, their cinema business was tiny compared to the population of Ormunda, so it would not matter if a few more cinemas appeared. The fact that the quality of their competition right not the best, at least compared to their movies, meant that their cinema was the go-to entertainment place for the nearby people.
After their talk, Romina returned to her office in the cinema while Anton asked his driver to bring him to the most prestigious magic shop nearby. He wanted to check if he could find a magic item that would solve his communication problem with his family. He wanted something that would allow him to talk to his father even if he was somewhere very far away or inside a dungeon. He did not know if there was something like that, but it would not hurt to check.
