Early the next day, when Anton woke up, he joined the family at the dining table for breakfast. Based on what everyone was saying, the spectacle that was the Avatar had already spread to everyone. Since Anton never told anyone to keep the film a secret, even though they left the cinema very late, the news that an otherworldly epic movie was viewed by the owners of the cinema had spread like a pandemic disease in just a few hours.
According to the gossip that had spread, the movie was so out of this world and so epic that when one watched it, one would feel like they were inside the alien planet.
Anna and her classmates, Luna, Alfred, and, according to them, all of their friend group, could not stop talking about the film. Anton was flabbergasted to learn that most of them did not sleep that night and continued talking about the movie. Those who were not invited, since Anders had given a limit of three friends per family member, were extremely bitter.
The fact that the second film, which was Avatar: The Way of Water, would be shown tomorrow night had everybody scrambling for an invite from any member of the family.
“How can we accept new viewers if they have not seen the first film in the franchise?” Anton said when someone asked if they could invite someone new.
It felt to Anton that it would be a shame for a viewer to see the next film in the franchise without seeing the first film, so he did not agree for anyone new to watch the movie.
Unfortunately, some of the ones looking for the invites were important people who could not be denied. Some were Anna’s teachers and professors from the magic academy, some were some sort of politicians, and their families.
As a compromise, Anton told everyone that those whom they could not deny could see the first film that night. He gave a copy of the Avatar to Romina to be shown that night, and after just an hour, which flabbergasted Anton again, it had become a huge event.
Thankfully, the 3D glasses were easy enough to make, especially when magic was involved, so Romina had to scramble to create enough glasses for everyone who was invited that night for the showing of the first film in the Avatar franchise.
It was still very early, but Anton was even more surprised that all of the ladies were already planning what to wear to the movie showing tomorrow night. According to Anna, choosing the correct clothes and accessories was going to take them everyone, the whole day, and she was even complaining that there was not enough time.
It was not even eight in the morning, and Anton was already surprised at how everyone was behaving toward watching the Avatar movies. He could understand a little when he remembered the spectacle that had happened when the first movie, Avatar, was released.
At first, Anton planned to level up a character in the new ladder season that day, and would start playing the new game in his system which was Diablo Immortal, after this week, but because of the things that were happening, he knew that he would be disturbed several times and he did promise Anna that he would be available to her and her friends for that week, he decided to accompany everyone in their shopping spree.
Just like any straight man, shopping for clothes that took hours was torture. The good thing was, Anton could enter his system wherever he may be.
They left the house at around nine in the morning, and as expected, all the girls turned into shopping monsters. Since Anton joined them, Alfred was also coerced into joining the shopping group. At least, Anton had someone to commiserate with. It only took Anton and Alfred an hour to complete their shopping, but as expected, even when noon arrived, the girls were not done yet. The funny thing was that everyone expected Anton to pay. Thankfully, he had a lot of coins with him due to his recent dungeon delving.
At noon, they took a break to eat at a fancy restaurant. They had to request several tables because of their number. Their group consisted of Anna and her three classmates, Luna, and her female friends, who had seen the first Avatar film, Alfred and his friends, which was also became tortured bystanders, Romina and her maid and female secretary, Susan and Bruce, who joined Anton as bystanders as well. Anders declined to join them, as if Anton’s father was already aware of what would happen that day.
Alfred and his friends rejoiced when Anton allowed them to run around somewhere else, followed by a few bodyguards. The only tortured bystanders left were he and Bruce. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
Unbelievably, the shopping spree lasted until six in the evening. After that, they ate dinner at another fancy restaurant. All in all, Anton had spent around a whopping 80,000 gold coins. Admittedly, the amount of coins he spent was not that much compared to how much gold he had saved.
By the time they had arrived home, it was already around nine in the evening. Anton felt exhausted, but the girls continued their activities by going into one of the manor’s salons overlooking the lush garden that was now being rained on by Mana Rain that Anton had cast.
At first, Anton joined them, but the girls only talked about their new clothes and jewelry, and other accessory and their speculation on what would happen in the next film in the franchise. They kept asking Anton which, in truth, Anton did not know, since he also had not seen the movie yet.
Anton successfully managed to get out in accompanying the group again in their planned shopping spree the day after tomorrow. The girls wanted to have new things for the third film. He gave Anna one hundred thousand gold coins as their spending allowance. After that, Anton escaped to his room.
He knew that if they had fashion magazines in this world, the girls would be among the pages already. Anton then wondered if he should share the concept of a fashion magazine with Romina. Another source of income for the family would be welcome.
The kingdom did have ways to spread news, but most of the coverage was of important things, and it was mostly through magical communication devices or ordinary newspapers. He decided to talk to Romina about it before he forgot, so he went to his office, which he rarely entered, and asked someone to call Romina, Sarah, and Bruce.
When they arrived, Anton immediately shared with them the concept of a fashion magazine. His explanations were all over the place, so he looked for a video on the most famous streaming website for a more thorough and detailed explanation.
Once the four had seen multiple videos regarding fashion and gossip magazines that centered around celebrities, Anton could see that Romina and Sarah’s eyes started to shine. Bruce only looked confused.
Romina did tell Anton that gossip mongering about the rich and noble families was already popular, but formalizing it into a business was a great idea. Anton left them to it and knew that they would be able to handle it. If they could not, it was no skin off his bones.
By the time Anton was in his room, he was too exhausted to do anything else, so he just decided to sleep.
