Chapter 720

The funny thing about traveling with the forest elves the next day was that every time they stopped for any reason, even if it was only for a moment, they would always talk to Anton about the movies that he had shared with them the night before.

Because of how adamant Anton was in making sure that everyone was aware that the movies were not real and were just a play performed by actors, everyone who had seen the films was truly impressed by the ability of the actors to perform realistically.

“During watching the film, because of how good their acting was, I truly hated the sky humans. Their performance of making the audience feel that they were just a greedy race clamoring for the resources hidden underneath the planet made me hate them, and then I would remember that they were just acting, which in turn would take me aback and impress me anew,” One of the elves said.

“True! And now Anton is telling us that there were more movies like it,” Another of them said.

Anton admitted to them that the Avatar films were actually not known for the acting prowess of the actors but for the special effects that allowed the audience to see a beautiful, alien planet.

“That realm where the movies came from must be a realm that elevated their arts to an unimaginable level. The fact that their world did not even have magic truly makes me admire them more,” one of the forest elves added.

“It was incredibly lucky for you to find that dimension. When a wizard reached a rank that they could explore other dimensions, finding one, much less a dimension that could offer a wizard something, was like finding a needle in a haystack,” one of the forest elves commented, and Anton just nodded.

Anton then wondered how the people of this world would react if they knew that he was not a native, but a transmigrator from the world where the movies came from. He had no intention of sharing that information. He had not even shared that information with his father and sister because he did not want their perception of him as their son and brother to disappear.

Anton did not know what would have happened to him if he had not had the support of his father and sister from the moment he transmigrated to this world. When he left Earth, he was alone and incredibly lonely. The moment he arrived in this world, he had a father and a sister who loved him, and suddenly, he was part of a family. He did not want that to disappear. That meant that there was a chance that he would bring the information that he was a transmigrator to the grave.

He thought that even if someday, a powerful wizard helped him in creating a portal to Earth, he would not share the information that he originally came from there and would continue to assume the identity of a wizard from this world that had achieved the ability to traverse dimensions.

If Anton was being honest, he had very little desire to return to Earth. It would be interesting, but not something to strive for. He did not have anything to go back for, and he already had access to what he considered the most important part of Earth. The internet.

He knew, though, that when the family became successful in promoting movies to a lot more places, there would be powerful wizards who would be curious enough to try to find a way to get to Earth, and more than likely, they would be successful.

Anton was curious about other dimensions, though. Once he became powerful enough and managed to destroy the Undead Coalition, he planned to truly become a dimension traveler and travel to different realms. That would be a grand adventure. Right now, he was still satisfied with exploring this world since he only managed to see very little of it.

After lunch, Anton and the forest elves continued their travel. They told Anton that they would reach the forest elves’ kingdom the day after tomorrow if they continued traveling at the speed at which they were currently traveling. Anton was fine traveling at their speed because he was not actually running like them but was simply flying.

By then, all of the forest elves were looking at his mode of travel enviously. Even though they could run nonstop through the forest, it still consumed their stamina. Compared to Anton, who was flitting about and could adjust his speed, looking extremely relaxed while doing so, anyone would be envious, even a little angry.

At least the forest elves were not petty. They still showed him unique features that could only be seen in the Northern Forest during the middle of winter. The elves admitted to him that if it were a different season, like Spring or Summer, the magical and unique things they could have shown him would have increased tremendously. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

One of the younger forest elves told Anton some examples, like the herd of levitating deer, the singing frogs, the luminous butterflies, and more. Anton mentioned to the elf that he had seen the luminous butterflies.

“The northern forest is usually covered in snow for the better part of the year, but it had its unique charm and beauty. It’s not as beautiful as the forest in Pandora at night, but then again, you keep telling us that it was not real. At least the North Forest is real,” The elves said softly, and Anton could see that the elf was thinking about the beautiful forest of Pandora.

“Do you think you can live in the forests of Pandora?” Anton asked the young-looking elf. He was not actually sure how old the elf was.

“The depiction of that alien forest was beautiful, but the movie showed that it was incredibly dangerous to live there. The animals were ferocious and huge, and without magic, I don’t think I can live there,” The elf said.

When the sun had set, Anton and the elves prepared their campsite. While they were eating the food provided by Anton, since he did not want to eat dried rations, the elves asked for more information about the different movies that the Ormundans had already seen. Because of their persistence, Anton gave a summary of his favorite movies, which were the Lord of the Rings films. When they asked how they compared to Avatar, he straightforwardly told the forest elves that The Lord of the Rings was better. Anton knew that he was biased, but he did not care. He loved The Lord of the Rings films. He even avoided reading the books since, in his experience, the books were usually better than the movies, and he did not want to taint his love of the films, even though he still liked reading more.

The forest elves could not believe his statement regarding his favorite movies. Anton simply told them that the fact that they had only seen one movie franchise meant that their current standard was based on that franchise alone. Given that the Avatar films were epic movies, meaning their standard was currently high, Anton was still straightforward in telling them that the Lord of the Rings films were better.

They then asked if they could see his favorite film, and Anton agreed that they could once they reached their kingdom. He asked them, though, if they wanted their friends to watch the Avatar films or start watching the Lord of the Rings. That question started an endless debate among the forest elves. Anton left them alone and entered his tiny house to start leveling up his Diablo characters.
