My Perfect Revenge: Flash Marriage With My Vampire Tycoon-Chapter 139: – Anything? —
"Those three. They’re one of us." His face dropped in a dark expression. "Helping humans... hm."
Nikolas stared ahead at the one who held Viviana. His gaze narrowed. Before anyone else, that was the one he was going to kill first. He could smell not one, but two different types of blood from him. One was Viviana’s blood. The other, he wasn’t sure who.
"Take off the rings."
The sudden order from Fernando, had both men glancing at him.
"What?" Lucian eyes widened a bit.
Fernando grinned. "You heard me. Take off your rings and hand them over to Olivia behind you."
Lucian glanced at Nikolas with panic stricken eyes. Taking off the rings meant they were no longer protected from the sun.
And the sun... The sun was beginning to rise.
"Oh, fuck."
Nikolas lowered his head to the ground. He lifted his gaze a few minutes later to the sun that was starting to show itself. Then he looked at Fernando. "Fine, we’ll take it off, however, my brother here, you’ll have to let him get under that shed to stay safe from the sun. This is between me and you. It has nothing to do with him. Can we come to an agreement?"
"Nikolas!"
Lucian snapped at him.
"What the heck are you saying? Have you lost your mind?!"
"What do you say?" Nikolas ignored him, asking Fernando who seemed to be in deep thought.
Fernando took a deep breath. In truth, he had no issues with the twin brother. He didn’t even know who he is, so they might as well come to an agreement. It’s not as if he could step into the sun anyway and try some funny game.
Maybe at the end of all this, they could kill him as well.
"Fine," he agreed.
Nikolas looked at Lucian. "Take off the ring."
Lucian glared at him.
"No. I am staying right here with—"
"Take the damn ring off, Lucian!" Nikolas gritted at him.
Lucian stared hard at him. "Nikolas—"
"Lucian, take it off."
He finally gave in, hoping inside of him that Nikolas had some sort of plan.
Olivia snatched the ring, and as Lucian headed over to the shed, Nikolas took his off as well.
It was stored in a box, closed and locked, before it was kept far away out of reach. Nikolas flickered his eyes, feeling the heat crawling up his entire frame. He felt itchy all over, like there were pins being pierced into every pores of his skin.
Just this alone was starting to spread pain all over his body, but he didn’t let it show on his face. The only person who could guess as of this moment, was Lucian.
"Let her go," Nikolas asked.
Fernando cocked a brow. "And why should I?"
"Wasn’t I what you wanted? I am here now. There is no reason to hurt her anymore."
"Of course there isn’t. You’re very right, and no, I don’t intend to hurt her any further. Wouldn’t want to ruin this pretty face or body of hers. I mean... when you’re dead, who do you think she’ll belong to?"
Nikolas’s body froze up at his provocations.
The killing intent that surged from him made Fernando shiver like he was freezing, and he quickly took a step back. "Fuck, you really are a monster. You want to kill me so bad and I can feel it all the way from here. Literal chills."
"Don’t overestimate your luck," Nikolas warned.
"Is that so?" Fernando chuckled. "It looks like you don’t understand the position you’re in," he said. "Look up."
Every one, except the three vampires who were swathed in heavy padded cloaks looked.
Viviana glanced up at the rising sun, and the second she heard a grunt, she snapped her gaze over, finding Nikolas trying to recall from the light.
"N-nikolas." Her voice grew shakty and fearful. "Nikolas! Nikolas!"
Nikolas lowered his head, taking steps to the side, trying to get away from the direct light of the sun.
"I knew that when this sun rises, it would shine directly to where you are currently standing. It was all calculated. I needed to make sure I rendered you helpless and weak," Fernando spoke with pure pride in his tone.
Nikolas forced his gaze up and gritted his teeth as he tried to look at the man. But it burned. His body felt as if he’d been tossed into a tub of lava.
He grunted in pure pain and from his body, smoke could be seen sipping and oozing out as if he was being burned alive.
"No... No." Viviana grew horrified, jerking her body furiously to free herself and get to him. "No, let go of me! Let me go! Nikolas! Please, let go of me. H-he’s getting hurt. Let go, let go of me!!!!"
She screamed, the sound so painful, so horror stricken.
"Do you know something, Viviana?" Fernando asked, watching in awe as Nikolas was tortured with unbearable pain. "When the sun truly begins burning him, he would start breaking away in ashes. And by the time the sun is completely done with him, the only thing that would be left of him would be the sun. These people are like immortals, but not in the face of the sun, their biggest weakness, the only thing with the power to kill them."
Olivia was watching from behind. It was only once that he’d witnessed a vampire die under the sun. But this... this was different. Any vampire should have already gone up in ashes by now. But Nikolas, while he was in pain, he was yet to begin burning.
How powerful was this man? Incredible.
He was in pure awe, feeling like he was witnessing a moment he would never get to witness ever again, not even in his death bed.
"Beautiful..." It was fascinating.
"No, please no." Viviana sobbed so hard, tears she didn’t know she had left streaming down her face. Her knees grew weak, unable to hold her up anymore and she dropped to the floor, begging. "Fernando, please stop. You’re hurting him. Please, I’ll do anything you want."
Fernando lifted his brows. "Oh? You’ll do anything I want?"
