Chapter 618: Be good

"What?" Coco couldn’t help, but look at Heiren like he had grown another two heads.

"I’m telling you that you also forgot to give Kairo a kiss." The second husband repeated what he said, his eyebrows furrowing in disappointment.

Well, he’s not really disappointed. However, he knows that if he didn’t push for it now, then Coco would take longer than a month to make a move on Kairo, all because she is afraid of hurting the feelings of the mediators.

They already like Kairo and they want him to become one of them, and they tried to open up this topic to Coco before, but she was adamant on not marrying him.

They knew her words had hurt Kairo, but the hybrid himself hasn’t given up on his feelings, though he also didn’t act out on his feelings and pursue Coco, opting to go for the more peaceful path which consists of living in the same house and helping around.

Alhai had asked Kairo if he wanted to become one of them, but the hybrid refused.

"I don’t want to become someone who’s after a person who obviously doesn’t return my feelings."

Those were the words that the hybrid had said to the third husband and of course, Alhai relied these words on the other husbands to let them know what’s going on.

All that is left is Coco.

"Why would I do that, Heiren?" Coco asked, backing herself up against the door, her hand tightening around the door handle.

"Because don’t you love Kairo?" Heiren returned the question, tilting his head and feigning an innocent expression. "You love the four of us, right? You love Kairo as well, but he’s the only one who you don’t hang out with and give kisses to."

Coco blinked and shifted her attention to the hybrid, and Kairo was quick to react by flinching.

"I do love him." Coco admitted, not caring if the two men in front of her would take it differently from what she meant. "But he’s not my lover or anything. He’s not privy to receive the treatment I give to the four of you."

Ouch. Heiren’s heart ached by hearing those words, he could only imagine how painful it must be for Kairo.

Contrary to the second husband’s belief, Kairo was pounding in his chest right now, his heart fluttering when he heard Coco’s declaration of love.

"I do love him." These four words kept repeating in his head, over and over and over again.

The rest of what Coco said didn’t register in his head, rather, it was blocked by those lovely four words that it started making his face feel warmer than usual.

"Come on, Coco." Heiren dropped Kairo’s hand and walked over to his wife, his palms enclosing on her cheeks. "Just one kiss for him, okay? Just one peck. It’s not like it would determine his marriage to you, right?"

Heiren leaned forward, his nose brushing softly against hers. "Just one kiss for my friend, Coco."

Coco opened her mouth to say fine, I’ll do it for you, but she was stopped before she could get the words out when Heiren suddenly pressed his lips against hers.

Coco was quick to melt into the kiss, her husband’s tongue slipping past her parted lips to entangle his tongue with hers. He explored her mouth, the wet muscle wrestling against hers in a fiery dance and flawlessly winning the battle.

After a good minute, Heiren finally pulled away for air. "Be good and do as I say, okay? Don’t worry too much. We already know, and we’re fine with it."

His words came in her right ear and exited on her left ear, the sentence and assurances sounding a little incomprehensible to her daze clouded mind that was quite evident in how her flush her face looked.

Heiren smiled at his wife and turned to Kairo, his brown eyes twinkling with mischief. "Come on, Kairo."

The hybrid snapped out of his daze when he heard his name being called, he blinked and shook his head to bring himself back to his reality.

"Yes?" Kairo mumbled, walking over to the front door.

He failed to notice Coco’s smaller form because Heiren had cornered her into the door, but when Kairo got close enough, he noticed the dazed expression on her face.

"W-what?" Kairo stammered, his own face warming up at the sight of Coco’s hooded eyes.

"Coco said she will give you a kiss." Heiren hummed, flashing a small smile on Kairo’s way before he reached out and grabbed the hybrid by the arm. "Since she will give you a kiss, you better reciprocate it, okay?"

"Coco.. Coco agreed to give me a kiss?" Kairo’s disbelief was clear on his face, which earned him a chuckle from Heiren.

"Take your time, you two." The mediator pulled away from Coco and quickly pushed Kairo over to her so her legs wouldn’t buckle under her weight. "I’ll keep everyone inside the kitchen, so just go back inside once you’re done, Kairo."

Coco’s face became flushed against Kairo’s chest, his warm and solid pecs felt slightly difficult to breathe into, but it was enough to bring Coco back to her senses.

"Wait, what—" Coco gasped, eyes widening in disbelief as she watched Heiren turn in his heels and went back inside the kitchen, shutting the door and locking it, making sure that Kairo wouldn’t be able to go back to the room unless he did as he was told.

"I’m sorry." Kairo apologized almost immediately, his eyes shifting on the furrow on Coco’s eyebrows.

To him, it was clear that Coco didn’t want to be in close proximity, but her husbands had been pestering the two of them to make a move on each other, all because he likes her.

"Y-You don’t have to kiss me." Kairo murmured, averting his gaze when Coco suddenly brought her attention to him.

"Would it change anything if I kiss you?" Coco asked, her curiosity getting the best of her.
