New World with Four Husbands-Chapter 619: Giving Kairo kisses
Seeing that Kairo didn’t respond, Coco decided to loop her arms gently around his neck, making sure her fingers are lightly brushing the nape of his hair as she leans in just a fraction— close enough that the faint scent of him clings to her clothes.
Their bodies aren’t flush yet, just hovering at that teasing distance where heat lingers between them.
Then, one of Coco’s knees nudged against Kairo’s thigh accidentally, or maybe not so accidentally, and she hummed softly under her breath.
Kairo’s breath stutters the second her arms tighten around him, his pulse jumping under his skin, betraying him— his cheeks flush a dark red, spreading all the way to his ears as he swallows hard.
The hybrid’s eyes darted down to Coco’s lips for half a heartbeat before flickering back up, wide and guilty.
He knows this is wrong. He knows it, but when she shifts just slightly closer that her knee was still brushing his, every rational thought of his was quick to scatter like leaves in the wind.
"C-Coco." The poor hybrid chokes out, coming out a little pathetic, even to himself. "You.. You smell like jasmine." *
He doesn’t mean to say it, at all, but here he was, face flushed and looking down at the beautiful woman before him who looked like she was enjoying herself.
Coco let out a low, amused hum, her fingers threading into Kairo’s hair as she pressed his forehead down against hers.
"I’m going to ask you again, Kairo.. Would it change anything?" She repeated what she said earlier slowly, not wanting to alarm him or anything. "If I kiss you? Would it change something?"
Her lips hover just above his, close enough that the barest brush sends sparks skittering down his spine.
She doesn’t close the distance yet; instead, she lingers there teasingly, cruelly, watching how he trembles under a mere brush of her lips and single nudge of her knee.
Who knew that someone stoic like him would crumble like this with a mere touch? It’s quite entertaining.
"Be honest to me, Kairo." She murmured, her eyes flickering to stare at him in the eyes, a knowing look glinting in those beautiful green irises of hers. "Or do I need to make you? Is that what you want, lovely?"
Kairo swallowed hard, his throat bobbing as his heart pounds against his chest.
Coco let out a sigh when he still showed no sign, so she tugged him even closer, which made his hands fly up instinctively to brace himself against the door on either side of her head, fingers splaying against wood.
He didn’t want to crash into her, but her proximity alone makes his head spin; it dizzies him and threatens to buckle his legs.
It would be so easy to lean into her, to bury his nose against her neck, to kiss her as desperately as the ache in him burns, to press his tongue on her skin..
"Coco.." He managed to mumble, his mind already a mess. "This.. We shouldn’t.."
Coco’s eyes glint with mischief as she stares up at him, knowing, teasing, and pressing her lips to his cheek in a featherlight kiss, so fleeting it barely registered..
Yet it sends Kairo’s pulse into overdrive anyway.
"But Heiren did say they’re okay with this." She murmured against his cheek, her lips quirking up into a small smile. "Hm?"
The name of her husband hangs between them like a dare— a mediator who knew exactly what Coco was doing when he gave that permission, or maybe even encouraged it.
The thought makes heat crawl up Kairo’s neck all over again.
".. Heiren’s an idiot." Kairo muttered, but there’s no real bite behind the words, because why would Heiren leave him here with Coco when he knows how he feels for her?
*A laugh bursts from Coco at Kairo’s muttered words; she shakes her head as if in disbelief.
"Anyway, just say the word, Kairo." She repeated for the third time, and the way she murmured it drips with temptation. "Do you want it? Do you want me—"
She doesn’t get to finish that thought. Kairo leaned forward before she could, his mouth crashing into hers with intensity that took her by surprise. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Coco’s mouth opened in a startled gasp as Kairo moved into her, and she doesn’t even have time to react before his fingers are burying into her hair, tangling into the curls and yanking her against him.
Her breath rushed out in a gasp, but he swallowed it up, his kiss burning hot and desperate as it devoured her mouth.
He pressed her back against the door, body crowding hers to hold her in place, or maybe it’s more to keep himself from collapsing, every nerve in him hums, on fire—
Unlike him, Coco’s knees had already buckled slightly under her, the sharp intake of breath hitching in her throat as Kairo kissed her with such desperation.
It’s messy, too much teeth and tongue and urgency, like he’s been starving for this.
And maybe he has.
Coco’s legs grew a little numb when Kairo’s desperation bled into the kiss, leaving her staggering against the door.
He pinned her in place easily, his body flush up against hers, and his kiss stole any coherent thought from her brain— it made her dizzy and she almost hated how good it felt.
She can’t even think of the word wrong with his mouth on hers.
It all just fades away when his teeth scrape across her bottom lip, making a helpless whimper escape her.
She knows that it’s messy and bruising and so damn wrong to compare it to Heiren or the others.. But fuck, she can’t stop thinking about it, the hybrid just have that certain skill using his tongue in kissing.
Her hands flew up and got into his shirt like an anchor, and then, as if it wasn’t enough, Kairo’s hand slithered down her waist and pulled her, making her arch against him.
