All eyes turn to the door that just opened and everyone present at the conference hall was shocked, there is no director or general manager that doesn’t know who Mr Black is,
Everyone wanted to do business with him, but only a few were lucky. To even be in the same room as him was considered a privilege.
to even be in the same room as him is considered lucky enough. So you could imagine how everyone present felt when he casually strolled into Smith’s enterprise.
Raymond stood for a while at the door to take in the face of everyone present, his face stoic, barely smiling he found whom he was looking for- Lena , before he took a slow casual stride with Liam walking behind him, he sat down close to her, with Liam sitting down near him.
Raymond wore a dark shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, paired with perfectly tailored black trousers. His hair was neatly slicked back, a pair of gold-rimmed glasses resting on his nose, and a matching gold watch glinting on his wrist.
He looked every inch the powerful, refined businessman he was.
Sophisticated. Dangerous. Untouchable.
Lena, however, could only stare, Her mind went blank, Her heart skipped.
Lena was awestruck and surprised to see him, so when he came to sit down near her she couldn’t even say anything and just continued to gawk at him.
Raymond noticed the drool in Lena’s mouth, with a small smile playing on his lip, ignoring everyone present and their surprised face he brought his head down close to lena’s ear and said
"Kitten, I know you can’t wait to tear me up,but don’t worry when we get home, you can do to me as you please."
Lena snapped out from her thoughts and jumped up abruptly before she realized where she was and she hurriedly sat down while muttering apologies and cursing Raymond beneath her breath.
Raymond just chuckled while watching her,he just realized that his kitten always loves to drool about his appearance but is too afraid to say it out loud.
"What are you doing here" Lena asked immediately she regained her composure
"Didn’t you ask me to help you or don’t you want my help again?" Raymond responded half amused.
Lena opened her mouth to retort but she ended up closing it, truly she did ask him to help but she doesn’t remember asking him to come to her company and make quite a scene. She thought he could give her tips on what to do, never in a million years did she think that Raymond would just appear unannounced in her work place.
It was infuriating to say the least, she knows he was here to gloat, what is so interesting about this small company of hers that he would want to come. Lena was staring at Raymond fiercely wishing that if looks could kill, she would have just murdered him right now.
It seems Raymond and Lena forgot that they were in a conference room, and they were a lot of people there with them including one shameless couple,
Raymond and Lena entered into a glaring competition, with both having different thoughts altogether. Raymond was amused as he watched Lena alternate from one emotion to another, it made him chuckle even more. Days without his kitten were mundane. But since she came into his life he had begun to laugh more often regardless of the place and time.
Evans and Ashley were quiet at first watching the drama between the richest man alive and Lena but when they realized how friendly Mr black was to Lena they became green with envy especially Ashley.
No director dare speak, everything happening before them is nothing short of a movie, Mr Black in the same room as them, smiling and laughing. That was unheard of, they felt like they were sitting on pins and needles and there is an interior motive why mr black was present and they don’t really want to stay to find out but they couldn’t leave either.
"Lena , you are still trying to seduce Mr black in the presence of everyone, have you no shame?" Ashley broke the silence.
Lena broke her gaze from Raymond and was shocked with what Ashley just said.
"I wouldn’t dare, I’m not as bold as you." Lena replied not ready to back down anymore while she trample over her.
Raymond’s gaze continued to stay on Lena not listening to what anyone was saying.
Ashley, seething with anger, refused to accept defeat either and went all out against Lena.
Well mine is better, I wasn’t the one who decided to get drunk and play around with some hooligan. Ashley muttered under her breath
Raymond raised his eyes and a chill passed through his eyes as he looked around the conference room, some of the directors that have been quiet since he arrived brought their heads down while Ashley had that smug look on her face.
Evans has been quiet since Mr Black stepped in, he has been trying to figure out his relationship Lena, since Ashley mentioned something downgrading towards Lena he expected Mr black to react but when he did not say anything it further confirmed that truly Lena was just a kept woman, Ashley was right Lena holds no special place in Mr Black’s heart so he decided to go all out.
"Lena, Ashley is right. You don’t have to throw yourself at Mr black just to win over the CEO’s position, it is true that I had intended to marry you but you sleeping with someone else a week to our wedding really hurt me, and when I forgave you what did you do, you decided to remove me from my position that I have painstakingly worked for.
Since you took over this company three days ago, all the projects that have moved this company forward actually did come from me, I have successfully moved this company to a great height and you want to take it away from me"
Lena almost coughed out blood due to the absurdity of what he was saying, Raymond was slightly amused at the Oscar wining performance of those two birds of the same feather in front of him, the directors though quiet were already taking his side.
Ignoring the bewildered look Lena was giving to him, he continued.
"It is not new that companies hire competent hands from outside their company shareholders to help them manage the company resources. And we all know Lena is not competent, naturally the company was supposed to go to me after marriage
but since she refused to marry me even though I love her so much and is willing to forgive her for everything she did, I would plead for y’all to look at the statistic, look at my track record and also there have been disturbing news about Lena sleeping around with colleagues and outside, there are also pictures of lena taken when she was out in the club playing and also hotels with different guys.
I have tried my best to protect it from leaking online , but I don’t know how much I can still keep them from uploading her nudes online. I fear if that should happen the company’s stock will plummet and also we will lose a significant amount of money.
It will be wise that she holds onto her share, since she is a major shareholder, but she should be voted out and a statement will be released. "
Lena was shocked how Evans could lie and insult her in the same sentence, was she truly that blind.
Most directors started speaking out, some saying Evans has spoken well and it will be wise if shee relinquish her authority to him.
Some are scared of looking at mr black, so they focused entirely on Lena, admonishing her about her frivolous lifestyle and insisting a woman should not behave in that manner.
Ashley clearly enjoying the show, secretly admire Mr Black, when he looked around she tried to get his attention by batting her eye lashes seductively towards her but he seems not to notice her, all his attention was on that "wench" as she called her irritably under her breath.
Lena stood up and gesture for Sylvia to turn on the TV screen that has been previously set up. She was not here to blabber but to drop her evidence.
Sylvia have been too stunned since Liam walked through that gate she had tried to be small and remain inconspicuous as much as possible, so she was lost in thoughts not registering everything that was been said at the conference hall but Lena called her she snapped out of her thoughts and walk straight to the front and turn on the large screen on their front. This brought all the chatters and noise in the conference room to a halt.
First, I would love to thank everyone for attending this meeting seeing that I was the one that called for the meeting even if some people tried to hijack the meeting and change the agenda. she said that with a mockery smile on her face while she glanced at Evans and Ashley. Raynond’s gaze was on her all through, a small smile playing on his lips dangerously.
