"This is the starlight hotel design blueprint, " Lena quietly pointed at the large screen already displaying a very unique design and patterns

"I personally designed the famous starlight hotel architectural structure."

The hall became filled with murmurs, with some in disbelief while some are calling her a liar.

"Lena, how dare you try to claim Evan’s work as yours?" Ashley was exasperated

"Miss Ashley there won’t be a next warning, if you or anyone in this conference interrupts Miss Smith’s presentation again," Raymond paused and his chilling gaze swept across the room,

"I will have you thrown out of the hall. Take this as your first and last warning"

Ashley almost wet herself from freight, who would have thought that Mr Black will speak, since he came in he has only glanced and kept quiet.

Every director started sweating, who wanted to offend mr black, they all had the same thoughts. "We don’t know why he is here, so we better tread with caution"

What a waste, Lena thought, only here to warn people and not to help her, she simply glared at him and continued talking and Raymond responded with a chuckle.

"This design was actually drafted by me regardless of what Mr Rings would want others to believe.

"These are the different prototypes of the designs," she used her remote control to change the design draft on the screen." This is also a draft that depicts when I first started making the design"

When she was done showing the different stages of the design she went also to ask Sylvia to pass a printed paper to everyone present. Nobody knew what they were looking for but their interests were already piqued.

If you look closely at this spot on your paper you will see my name initials designed like a floral pattern to the side of the design," she pointed at the spot on the screen and everyone looked at their own design and they saw it too.

"I have always had my works marked for recognition purposes, of course which designer doesn’t imprint their own name or signatures on their designs." She missed.

"Let’s go over to the next big contract under Evans name."

Ashley and Evans’ faces already looked pale.

"Lena, it is not hidden that you helped me with the design, maybe it was during that time that you designed your name in there without me knowing."

Lena snorted.

"If truly these designs belong to you, how come you don’t have all the drafts from scratch?, and how come your name is not written on them?"

Lena’s gaze turned hard as she continued speaking, in her mind she already told herself If they refused to accept defeat they should not blame her for not going easy on them.

"Mr Rings, I also have different camera footage to prove these designs are all my work, do you still lay claim over my hard work?" She asked. When she realized he still don’t want to come clean

"Sylvia, play all the videos of me working on those designs," Lena instructed Sylvia.

"Yes ma" she responded and started playing the videos

Everyone was dumbfounded, because the video is as clear as day, the videos show Lena sketching, sometimes she uses her computer to sketch while some other times she hand it on a board, they are times she slept in her design room due to exhaustion while other times she simply destroys most of her work if they did not give her what she wants.

In all, the video just shows how passionate she was to her craft, and most of Evans’ big projects were actually work Lena’s designed by herself but the directors were dumbfounded if she really did design all these why did she then give it all to Evans.

All I’m saying is I don’t want Evans to be made CEO, I have been helping him behind the scene all this while, so he could grow and stand tall above all, I did all that because we were supposed to be husband and wife

And I wanted him to run my mother’s company with me.

But he is incompetent, and I can no longer help him. Everything he has achieved in the company is because of me, if I stop helping him and he becomes the CEO won’t he destroy the company? As a general manager there are already complaints against him. There are documents depicting his misuse of company funds "

The hall dropped to a lower temperature, everyone was flabbergasted and they all started to discuss in a hushed tone. Sylvia immediately gave out documents to back up their claim.

Evans couldn’t hold back anymore, he felt like his well cultivated plan was being destroyed by Lena so he snapped.

"Lena, when did you become this vile? Trying to take what I worked for from me? He turned around and started explaining himself to the boards of directors- insisting that every evidence Lena presented today was fabricated.

But they all looked at him viciously, no one could have imagined that he was money hungry incompetent fool, with no real talent. Depending on a woman for both social class and money.

They all refused to give him a face and some started apologizing to Lena. They felt like they have been deceived and most older men don’t like being deceived. So they ask Lena to tell them what to do?

Lena said she would love if Evans was sacked from his post as general manager seeing that he can not uphold the integrity of his office and perform his duties there was no need of keeping him

Evans’ face became extremely ugly, his face looked like he just swallowed a fly and it was quite laughable. No one expected this turn around including Evans, Lena was always calm, he thought she would be easy to deal with- never in his life did he imagine that Lena would be this authoritative and detailed.

Ashley was extremely calm, she already sense that Lena is not the same Lena as before, she seems to have changed since the last time she saw her

"I think we would have a vote now to decide if Mr Rings stays with the company or goes" One of the board of directors Mr Kennedy, a man in his early fifties, spoke up.

Another replied to him.

"You know even if we vote, we still need two member of the shareholders to vote before we can sack a general maner"

"That shouldn’t be a problem," Mr Black spoke up, everyone turn towards him surprised especially Lena, Lena kept on giving him that look , trying to know but he meant

Raymond naturally continued, without sparing any of them glances except Lana.

"Since I have shares in this company and Lena has shares too, that should make us two shareholders present, we should be able to represent other shareholders. Am I correct?"

Everyone gasps, shock evident on their faces, including Lena. Their whole thoughts were when did Mr black become a shareholder of our company.

Lena found the whole revelation overwhelming. And knowing Raymond he doesn’t seem like someone that would lie over something this insignificant.

Raymond noticing the shift and uncertain reaction from every one on the table smile before speaking,

"Yes I’m a shareholder and I came

today for the purpose of removing a

Mr Rings from his position because he is incompetence "

Everyone was shocked when he confirmed it and they were dumbfounded.

"You are a liar when did you become a shareholder " Evans fumes.

Raymond chuckled, you can find out yourself, "this matter is not generally hidden. "

When the other directors called and confirmed that he was part of the shareholder they were surprised at first but they know with Mr Black everything and anything is possible. So they decided to hold the election to remove Mr Rings because nobody wishes to offend Mr Black and they don’t even want to know how he became a shareholder.

When the voting was over naturally, Evans was sacked , and he lost it, started making a scene and dishing out insults of different kinds, even going as far as calling Lena a slut and threatened to leak her intimate pictures and videos.

Lena simply ignored him, the outcome of the day’s meeting was splendid. She achieved what she came there for, with Raymond’s overbearing presence helped to silence everyone present and thereby gave her the opportunity to plead her case.

She did not know that she was already lost again, imagining what her life would have been like if she had never met Raymond.

"It does not end here Lena, don’t think you have won, enjoy your little victory while you can." Ashley snee/0red before she flipped her hair and walked away in anger.

Lena tried to ignore Ashley because all she could think about was the man still sitting down and watching her leisurely, she was in awe at how powerful Raymond is, just by mere coming to Smith enterprise- all these difficult directors that were about to tear her apart , became so cautious to make mistakes around him.

She scoffed, even with Evans bribe they couldn’t do her anything because of Raymond. She smiled triumphantly.

Sometimes she wonders that there is more to Raymond but the can’t place her hands on it, sine she told him she wanted the first month slow, he has been consistent, Not pushing too hard, allowing her make her own decisions and mostly generous.

In her mind she told herself she was so grateful to Sylvia that made her call him to come.

Lena just stood there for a while admiring and drooling over Raymond as usual.
