Suhabaru finished speaking, glanced at Tao Yuanweng, and seeing the latter glaring at him angrily with a flushed face, couldn't help but grin and say, "What? Old codger, not convinced? Then come out from behind the junior and let's have a spar, huh!"
As he said this, Suhabaru frowned, looking pained, and covered his forehead with his hand. Moments later, his brows relaxed, and he exhaled a long breath, saying with emotion, "In my werewolf transformation, my mind can't stay clear and is always in a chaotic state, which gave you the opportunity. But even so, you couldn't take my life. So, you'll never have another chance to win against me. However, your wine is indeed the most marvelous thing I've ever tasted. For the sake of that wine, I'll let you live, now scram!"
"You!" Tao Yuanweng's eyes widened in humiliation, and he was about to step forward to act. But Pei Yan grabbed his wrist to hold him back, taking over the conversation and questioning, "What kind of transformation did you and your disciple undergo to become such monsters?"
"A monster?" Suhabaru tilted his neck and stared at Pei Yan, then burst into uproarious laughter as if hearing a funny joke. After laughing, he pointed mockingly at Pei Yan and said, "If others say I'm a monster, I wouldn't be able to refute it. Pei Yan! Look in a mirror and take a good look at yourself. Calling me a monster, then what are you?"
"Shut up!"
"You're just an ugly freak, how can you compare to Pei Yan!"
"Right, just one stick to kill you and putting you in a museum as a specimen could scare the kids to tears, and you dare compare yourself to Pei Yan!"
Unlike Pei Yan, who was stunned on the spot upon hearing this, his comrades behind him were the first to rebuke fiercely. A monster? Yes, he indeed couldn't argue against this term for the other. Suhabaru could even transform into some form himself. Thinking of this, Pei Yan stretched out his hand to look at his own mechanical arms and said in self-mockery, "You're right, I am also a monster. So, would you, this monster, be willing to tell this monster how you got lost and transformed into this?"
"Hehehe, that's right, we're all on the road in pursuit of power with no turning back, no one should look down on anyone!" Suhabaru said, also looking down at his own body with a sinister smile, "If I'm not mistaken, you've already been chosen as a candidate by the original body, and have the power gathered from the Origin Seed of multiple dimensions, right?"
"That's right!" Pei Yan answered frankly without concealing.
"That's great!" Suhabaru sighed with appreciation, "Pei Yan, not everyone in this world is as fortunate as you, blessed by the heavens, gathering the origins of major dimensions, you can naturally sweep away your enemies even across levels. Facing a chosen one like you, what do we have to fight back with? Hehehe, since destiny's favor is unattainable, we rely on our own efforts and external help. You want to know how I turned into this? It's simple!"
With that, Suhabaru stretched his neck. In the shocked gaze of the crowd, he used his claws to make an incision on his body, reached into the bloody flesh, and pulled out a rib. As he drew it out, the rib naturally formed a bone sword, emitting a faint golden light.
Unlike Pei Yan and others, who were merely astonished by his action, the crowd from the Spirit Monster Realm in the sky was thrown into an uproar. A young man roared furiously, "How do you have a Dragon Bone in your body? Where did you get it from?"
"Want to know? Come down here and ask me?" Suhabaru heard this question and looked up at the young man in the sky, shaking the bone sword provocatively.
The young man couldn't resist the provocation and roared, charging towards the ground, but he heard an exclamation from the crowd behind him, "Alex! Don't go!"
However, the warning came too late. The one called Alex had already transformed into a dragon-like form, landing in front of Suhabaru. Without hesitation, he swung his claw at Suhabaru's forehead. What happened next, however, left everyone in shock. Suhabaru didn't dodge at all, allowing the claw to strike down. A piercing sound of metal and iron friction was heard, sparks flew across Suhabaru's face, leaving only a few shallow white marks.
Apparently, Alex couldn't accept the fact that his full-force strike caused only such minimal damage, and he looked at his own hands in disbelief, falling into a brief stupor. But he forgot that this was a battlefield; Suhabaru wouldn't give him a chance to recover. He reached out and grabbed Alex's wrist, gently twisting it downward.
A crisp sound of bone cracking echoed through the courtyard, followed by Alex's sky-shattering scream. Looking at his limp, broken left hand, Alex's face was drenched in cold sweat from the unbearable pain, yet his entire body was engulfed by rage. He roared, his mouth wide open as a massive energy ball gathered in his throat.
Suhabaru plunged the bone sword into the ground, pressed Alex's shoulders with both hands, forcing him down on his knees. Simultaneously, he too opened wide his mouth, gathering a similar energy ball within.
In the blink of an eye, Alex, forcibly lowered, aimed at his enemy, and Suhabaru, looking down at him, simultaneously emitted two dazzling beams of light from their mouths. At such close range, the beams collided as they exited, causing the energy balls to explode. Anticipating disaster, Pei Yan, with Tao Yuanweng and the others from the investigation hall, fled into the sky. The explosion's shockwave instantly swept the area, leveling over a dozen nearby houses and raising a vast cloud of dust.
Eager to observe the battle's status, the cultivators couldn't wait for the dust to settle on its own. They quickly used their methods to dispel the smoke with wind. In no time, the dust cleared, allowing them to once again see the scene. The Dragon Race members let out a sigh of grief and closed their eyes in pain.
The result of the duel was obvious. Standing there, Suhabaru held Alex's wrist with one hand, while Alex had already lost consciousness and couldn't stand on his own, drooping his head while Suhabaru hoisted him like he was flaunting a trophy, swinging his body arrogantly.
As the dust cleared, Suhabaru looked up at the people in the sky, grabbed the bone sword from the ground with one hand, and amidst the crowd's terrified cries, stabbed it into Alex's throat. As Alex convulsed violently, he withdrew the long sword, and before the blood could spill from the injured throat, he bit down and began to drink greedily.
A few minutes later, Suhabaru finally moved his mouth away from Alex's throat, then swung the dried-up corpse and casually threw it into a deep pit in front of him. He wiped the blood from the corners of his mouth with his hand, looked up at Pei Yan in the sky with a provocative expression, and said, "Now do you know where my power comes from?"
