Chapter 1111: Chapter 1113: Reunion and Love at First Sight (Part 2)

As they spoke, he had already stood up.

Rudy Finn nodded, "He called you, you should go quickly."

She also stood up with him.

Charles and Rudy Finn left the study one after the other, while Ji Chicheng leaned against the door of Charles’s study waiting for him.

Seeing Charles come out, he cast him a cold glance, then turned and walked towards Charles’s room.

At the door, he pushed it open and walked in.

The room was filled with photos, all of the same person, in different styles. No matter the style or environment, the person in the photos smiled slightly, stunningly beautiful.

This wasn’t Ji Chicheng’s first time in Charles’s room; he almost came in every day, his gaze sweeping around the room.

Then he turned and asked Charles, who followed him in, "Is that woman your new girlfriend?"

Charles knew he was asking about Rudy Finn. He frowned, "Who told you that?"

He looked as though he was ready to deal with anyone spreading such nonsense.

Ji Chicheng walked to the bedside table, reached out for the photo on it, stared at it for a while, then turned to look at Charles, snorted coldly, "I saw her personally making that dish in the kitchen and serving it to you."

Having said that, he put down the photo, tucked his hands into the pockets of his sweatpants, his back straight, looking proud.

Charles looked at him and asked, amused, "Are you jealous?"

"Not at all." Ji Chicheng shook his head, his back remaining perfectly straight.

"That’s Rudy Finn Auntie, she was born..."

Charles stopped teasing Ji Chicheng and explained Rudy Finn’s identity, almost letting slip something. He quickly kept his mouth shut, concealing the flash of unbearable pain in his eyes, finding the words to continue, "She’s a very good friend of your mummy since birth, like sisters."

Upon hearing this, Ji Chicheng cast his eyes on the photo on the bedside table, then asked again, "Who was that woman the other day?"

He slowly turned his head again, looking at Charles, staring at his face, his eyes unblinking. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

Charles didn’t know who Ji Chicheng was referring to, "Which one?"

Ji Chicheng said, "At the door, wearing white clothes, with a braid, was about to come in but you called her back."

Why does he keep thinking about someone he merely glanced at from afar?

Perhaps because the girl’s appearance coincidentally matched the image of the girl in his dreams.

He kept searching for that silhouette, which is why he couldn’t forget that fleeting glance.

Charles lowered his gaze, observing Ji Chicheng’s expression closely, while asking, "You noticed?"

Ji Chicheng nodded, "Yes, I want to meet her."

"Why?" Charles was puzzled.

He already knew Ji Chicheng was talking about Ji Anning, who had entered the yard that day, only to be scared away by him.

Yet he saw only from afar, several days had passed, why did he still want to meet her?

"I don’t know."

Ji Chicheng replied while looking at Charles.

If he stated his reason, Charles might even more resolutely not let him meet her. He always avoided discussing his past, the things Ji Chicheng wanted to know.

Charles said, "You’ll have a chance to meet her in the future."

With that, he immediately changed the subject, "Let’s go downstairs for dinner."

Ji Chicheng said nothing, stepped forward, and left the room before Charles.

...

At Charles’s dining table, it was rare to have so many people for a meal, and the atmosphere in the dining room was lively, even the lights seemed exceptionally bright.

Today’s dishes were mostly prepared by Rudy Finn herself, consisting mainly of Chinese cuisine, while a few Western-style dishes were made by Charles’s chef.
