Chapter 65: Chapter 65 Reluctant Cohabitation (Part 11)

With a stuttering tone, it was unclear whether it was excitement or fear.

"Would you like me to sign something for you?" Qi Helian straightened up, looking at those young men, his smile unchanging on his face.

He was clearly smiling, yet it involuntarily sent chills down one’s spine. Ji Anning watched Qi Helian, his narrow, phoenix eyes shining with a sinister and sharp light.

"Let’s go."

One of the youths, coming to his senses, grabbed the others and ran.

Qi Helian watched their fleeing figures with a calm smirk.

Not far away, suddenly another black car arrived, stopping less than three meters away from the young men.

Then several men in black descended from the car, tall and muscular, and quickly captured the youths.

"Treat these brothers well."

Qi Helian was still smiling slightly, yet his tone was so chilling it made one shudder.

As he spoke, he turned around and stretched his arm, wrapping it around Ji Anning’s shoulder, "Baby, let’s go."

How can this guy be so casual?

Ji Anning frowned, displeased with Qi Helian’s familiarity, but considering he had just helped her, she tactfully extricated herself from his embrace, "Mr. Qi."

Qi Helian frowned, "I said not to be so formal. You can call me Helian."

Ji Anning: "..."

She wanted to say they really weren’t that close, not close enough to address each other by a single name.

"Everyone from the crew is waiting for you."

Qi Helian absolutely disregarded Ji Anning’s wishes, still clinging to her familiarly.

He thought, who knows when Ji Chicheng would arrive.

After a few steps, Qi Helian suddenly realized something was amiss, looking down towards Ji Anning’s feet.

Under the moonlight, her pale little feet were bare on the cement ground, his brow furrowed, "Where are your shoes?"

"Umm..." Ji Anning looked back, glancing behind her. Someone had just thrown her shoes somewhere, and on the pitch-black road, nothing was visible.

She pursed her lips, "Never mind, it’s okay like this."

Qi Helian did not inquire further about the whereabouts of Ji Anning’s shoes, but gestured to one of the men in black who was busy entertaining the three youths nearby and called out, "You, come here."

The man immediately came over, standing respectfully in front of him, "Young master."

Ji Chicheng pointed to his shoes and ordered, "Take off your shoes."

"Yes." The man nodded without hesitation, not daring to delay, and immediately removed his leather shoes.

Ji Anning was speechless. Were all these young masters so domineering?

By taking off someone else’s shoes, that person would be barefoot.

Thinking this, she said, "Mr. Qi, really, it’s not necessary. I’m fine. It’s actually cooler this way."

Qi Helian completely ignored her words. Looking at the man who had taken off his shoes, he asked, "You don’t have foot odor, right?"

The man shook his head, "No, I disinfect my shoes every day."

Qi Helian nodded in relief, then waved him away with a gesture of his hand, "Go."

The man nodded and left.

Qi Helian turned around, pointing to the shoes on the ground and said to Ji Anning, "Put them on."

Ji Anning: "..."

How can someone be so difficult to communicate with?

Oh well, he probably meant well, and since the brother had taken off the shoes and left, it would be a waste not to wear them.

Ji Anning put on the oversized men’s leather shoes and limped behind Qi Helian.

The entire crew really was waiting for her, the stand-in.

While feeling apologetic, she also felt surprisingly cherished.
