Chapter 245: Chapter 245: Eradicate Completely

Ding Hao couldn’t believe what he was seeing as he looked at Qiao En.

Her face was cold and emotionless.

This woman, in his knowledge, had always been gentle, even indecisive, but now she had become incredibly firm.

Such a Qiao En was unfamiliar to him.

"Did she tell you?"

At this time, Ding Hao was still entangled in these matters.

Qiao En gave a faint smile, "She didn’t, but I guessed it."

Ding Hao didn’t believe her and, shaking his head, muttered to himself, "Impossible, absolutely impossible."

Qiao En stretched out her hand to caress her slightly protruding belly, "Did you think you could hide it from me? Ding Hao, you are too confident. Pregnancy is something women understand best about each other. She was so anxious to leave, probably to protect this child for you."

"Where is she going?"

Ding Hao’s eyes were wide with shock.

"Didn’t she tell you?" Qiao En counter-asked.

Ding Hao tried to get up but couldn’t straighten his back.

"Tell me, where is she actually going?"

He became angry, repeatedly slapping the desktop with his palm.

"If she didn’t tell you, she probably doesn’t want you to know."

Having said that, Qiao En walked out of the reception room.

Behind her, Ding Hao was raging like thunder.

"Where exactly did she go? Why won’t you tell me?"

However, Qiao En had already walked far away.

Outside the reception area, Zhou Jin’an was waiting anxiously.

"Are you okay?"

He quickly went forward to meet Qiao En.

Qiao En nodded, "I’m fine, let’s go."

In the reception room, Ding Hao’s howling could still be heard.

"What did you say to him?"

Zhou Jin’an asked curiously.

The fact that Lin Youyou was pregnant was something Qiao En didn’t plan to tell Zhou Jin’an.

She had a secret crush on Zhou Jin’an, and had accepted Ding Hao to help him, even bearing that man’s child.

Now that she had left with the child in her belly, she naturally had her own plans.

What Lin Youyou never said, Qiao En chose to keep secret for her.

Outside the detention room, Ding’s mother was pushing Ding’s father as they waited there.

Seeing Qiao En and Zhou Jin’an come out, Ding’s mother wheeled towards them.

Ding’s father looked extremely haggard, and white hair had appeared at Ding’s mother’s temples.

"Director Zhou, thank you."

Ding’s mother said with tear-rimmed eyes, expressing her gratitude to Zhou Jin’an.

"Aunt Ding, I’m sorry."

Although Qiao En had done nothing wrong, seeing Ding’s father and mother like this made her feel very uncomfortable.

All because of her, even if she was unrelated.

"En’en."

Ding’s mother stepped forward to grasp Qiao En’s hand, "We should be the ones apologizing; you are the true victim here."

Qiao En lowered her gaze.

Memories of the past could not be recalled without bringing up pain.

Zhou Jin’an’s indifferent eyes swept towards Ding’s father. He was not a compassionate man, but this time, he let go.

"Director Ding, I hope you take good care of yourself."

He said lightly.

Ding’s father’s murky eyes were mixed with many complex emotions as he leaned back in the wheelchair exhaustedly.

"Thank you, thank you for letting Ding Corporation survive."

"Let’s go."

Zhou Jin’an extended his arm to wrap around Qiao En’s waist, and together they stepped away.

Cheng Lu pulled the Maybach a bit closer, and as both of them got into the car, Qiao En looked out the window to see Ding’s father and mother still standing there.

At that moment, she suddenly thought of her own father and mother.

When Qiao De got into trouble, her parents had been indulgent, leading Qiao De to make mistakes over and over again.

Whereas Ding’s father and mother had the strength to sever family ties for justice, which was truly admirable from the bottom of her heart.

"Do you think I was too heartless?"

Zhou Jin’an followed Qiao En’s gaze out the window.

The autumn wind carried a trace of chill, rustling through the sparse and graying hair of the two old people.

It touched Zhou Jin’an’s sense of compassion.

"No."

Qiao En leaned against Zhou Jin’an’s shoulder, tilting her head to look up into his eyes.

"I feel you’ve changed."

"How have I changed?" Zhou Jin’an asked, puzzled.

"You’ve become more humane."

Qiao En said earnestly.

The Zhou Jin’an of the past was cold and heartless, never showing mercy. He was a decisive king of the business world, a formidable Satanic figure that struck awe and fear in others.

But now, his heart had softened, and there was warmth in his eyes.

This version of Zhou Jin’an was becoming increasingly warm.

"Thank you for the compliment, I will definitely keep up the good work," he said.

Zhou Jin’an’s eyes crinkled with a smile as he caught Qiao En’s hand and kissed it lightly on the lips.

He held her small hand tight, transferring the warmth from his palm to her heart bit by bit.

"You’ll let off Ding Corporation, won’t you?"

Qiao En asked again.

Zhou Jin’an nodded, "Mercy to those who deserve it. I’ll deal with Ding Hao harshly since he brought it upon himself, but his family should not suffer the consequences."

"Thank you," she said.

"What for?" Zhou Jin’an was somewhat puzzled.

"Thank you for becoming so wonderful."

A bouquet of spring flowers seemed to bloom suddenly within Zhou Jin’an’s heart. The flattery of others, true or false, was nothing but honeyed words to him, which he chose to ignore.

But Qiao En’s praise went straight to his heart, making him smile proudly as if a child had received a teacher’s commendation.

"It’s because you’re good enough that I chased up to your pace. But don’t worry, I won’t become arrogant. I will continue to work hard and become even better," he said.

Warm smiles flowed throughout the car.

Such warmth made one feel comfortable.

Back home, Qiao En entered the bedroom, while Zhou Jin’an, who still had work to deal with, went to the study with Cheng Lu.

As soon as the door closed, Zhou Jin’an’s expression turned cold once more.

"Is everything ready?"

"Director Zhou, rest assured, the detention center and prison have been informed. They’ll make sure Ding Hao doesn’t have it easy," she replied.

Zhou Jin’an stood by the window, his eyes as dark as the night sky.

"Don’t let the married lady know about this, as she’s pregnant now."

"The married lady won’t find out about this," Cheng Lu assured him.

After a moment of contemplation, Zhou Jin’an suddenly thought of Lin Youyou.

"Have you settled things with Lin Youyou?"

"Our office colleagues have already picked her up, but it seems she’s fallen ill," Cheng Lu reported.

"Ill?" Zhou Jin’an frowned slightly.

"It’s nothing serious, just adjustment to the local environment. She’s been vomiting after eating, she’ll probably get better in a few days," Cheng Lu said nonchalantly, not giving it much thought.

But Zhou Jin’an, with his meticulous mind, suddenly had a hunch.

"Go there now and personally take Lin Youyou to the hospital for a thorough examination," he ordered.

Cheng Lu, scratching the back of his head in confusion, said, "Director Zhou, isn’t this overreacting?"

Zhou Jin’an shot him a cold glance.

"She might be pregnant," Zhou Jin’an speculated.

"Pregnant?" Cheng Lu exclaimed.

"No wonder she was in such a rush to leave. She must be pregnant. But why wouldn’t she say it? If the child is Ding Hao’s, why would she want to have a baby with that man?"

"This child cannot be kept," Zhou Jin’an stated firmly.

"But I’m a man, how can I tell her that? Besides, if she ran all that way, it was either Ding Hao’s idea or she wanted to hide from him. With the baby in her belly, how can I force her to have an abortion?" Cheng Lu threw out all his concerns at once.

"There are always more solutions than problems. You must handle this personally. She’s still young, only twenty-two. Having this child would ruin her life. She’s already made a sacrifice; we can’t ask her to make another," Zhou Jin’an said, quickly writing another check.

"Give this to her. If she’s willing, after the abortion, she could consider studying overseas. We’ll keep her position open at the company," he suggested.

This was the best compensation Zhou Jin’an could think of for Lin Youyou.

"Alright, Director Zhou, I’ll make sure it’s done," Cheng Lu agreed.

That same night, Cheng Lu caught a flight to Singapore.

At eleven o’clock at night, he checked into the hotel where Lin Youyou was staying.

"Are you asleep?" he messaged Lin Youyou, and unexpectedly, she replied immediately.

"Not yet."

"Need to talk to you," he texted back.

Impatient by nature and eager to complete the task Zhou Jin’an had entrusted to him, Cheng Lu didn’t wait for a reply and went straight upstairs to find Lin Youyou.

After knocking on the door a few times, Lin Youyou opened it.

She appeared extremely weak, her complexion pale and her demeanor listless.

"Assistant Cheng, what brings you here?" she asked with surprise, but a hint of delight flickered in her eyes.
