Anyway, this kid didn't reject Noah Reyes. That was the natural bond between father and son. Noah Reyes carried Jimmy Horne in front, with Julia Bluen trailing behind, and the two Bodyguards following as they all descended the stairs.

"Uncle, your house is so pretty and big! But my house is even prettier and bigger," Jimmy Horne said childishly, his gaze sweeping across the first floor.

Noah Reyes gave him a peck on his small cheek and asked with a smile, "So, Jimmy, do you like it here?"

Jimmy Horne blinked, pondered for a moment, and then nodded. He couldn't quite articulate why he liked this uncle's house. When he'd arrived, he had clearly been very angry.

Jimmy's nod made Noah Reyes overjoyed. His son liked his house! He'd never known that having a son could feel this blissful. Even though his son didn't believe Noah was his daddy, Jimmy didn't reject him, allowed his affection, and even said he liked his house. Noah had tasted happiness—a kind of happiness he could never find in his own large family.

"Uncle!" As they exited the Main House and walked along the path in the Courtyard, by the light of the lamppost near the gate, Jimmy Horne saw Glades Horne. Glades was clad in black and exuded a frigid aura. The joy and affection Jimmy displayed were even more intense than what he had shown Julia earlier. He immediately wriggled out of Noah Reyes's embrace and scampered towards the entrance.

"Young Master," Deon Myers quickly stepped in to block him.

In Deon Myers's eyes, this handsome little boy was his Clan Leader's son, the Young Master of the Flaming Gate. It had taken them so long to find him; how could they let him go again? If the elders learned their Clan Leader had an heir, and that the Young Master was already four years old, they'd be ecstatic. They might all swarm to Syrena. Now that the Young Master was four, once he acknowledged his ancestry and returned to the clan, he would have to endure a hellish training regimen. That would mean leaving his parents' side.

"Deon Myers!" Noah Reyes called out in a deep voice.

Deon Myers had no choice but to step aside.

"Jimmy! Julia!" Seeing his beloved wife and nephew emerge safely, Glades Horne couldn't help but call out, his previously taut, cold face relaxing slightly.

Noah Reyes kept his eyes on Glades Horne, noting the way Glades's expression softened only when he saw Julia Bluen.

The main gate was still locked tight. Jimmy Horne ran up to it but couldn't get out.

Benjamin Robinson and his colleagues all drew their handguns, aiming them at Noah Reyes and his men.

Noah Reyes ignored the dozen or so guns aimed at him. He turned his head to look at Julia Bluen, not speaking, only conveying his request with his eyes. Knowing that Adele Horne was the person he was looking for, he didn't want to further antagonize Glades Horne.

Julia Bluen also remained silent. She stepped forward, picked up Jimmy Horne, and said coolly, "Open the gate. We're going home."

"Clan Leader?" one of the men in black asked respectfully.

Noah Reyes wasn't afraid of Benjamin Robinson's gun, nor were his men intimidated in the slightest. They acted as if they had done nothing wrong, like upstanding, law-abiding citizens.

"Open the gate!" Noah Reyes ordered in a stern voice.

The Manor's main gate swung open at his command. Benjamin Robinson, leading a dozen police officers, rushed into the Manor grounds, guns raised, and surrounded Noah Reyes and his men.

"Julia!" Glades Horne strode forward and swept Julia Bluen, still holding Jimmy Horne, into his arms, hugging them both tightly.

"Uncle, I can't breathe! Why are you just like that other uncle?" Jimmy Horne, squashed between Glades Horne and Julia Bluen, felt like he was caught in a door and protested anxiously.

This was the second time in an hour he'd been squeezed like this! Did these adults want to crush him to death? He couldn't die like this! If that wretched Camila found out, she'd laugh herself silly over him!

Glades Horne hastily loosened his grip. He then took Jimmy Horne from Julia's arms, casually set the boy beside him, and pulled Julia Bluen back into his embrace, holding her close as he asked in a low, hoarse voice, "Julia, are you alright? Were you scared?"

Jimmy Horne, standing to the side, couldn't help but mutter, "Typical Uncle! Sees a pretty woman and forgets all about his nephew!" And here he'd run over so enthusiastically and affectionately, but his uncle only had eyes for his aunt!

Julia Bluen gently stepped out of Glades Horne's embrace, shaking her head with a faint smile. She wasn't afraid.

Only after confirming his wife and nephew were unharmed did Glades Horne stride into the Manor grounds and stop directly in front of Noah Reyes. The two men, equally tall, handsome, and imposing, formally faced each other.

"Noah Reyes!" Glades Horne snarled through clenched teeth. He suddenly grabbed Noah Reyes's collar and threw a vicious punch with his right hand.

"Boss!" Deon Myers and the others cried out, instantly ready to make a move.

"All of you, stand still! Don't move!" Noah Reyes ordered sharply. He didn't dodge, taking the full force of Glades Horne's punch.

The words had barely left his lips when Glades Horne swung another punch. Again, Noah Reyes didn't dodge, unflinchingly taking the second blow. His nose began to bleed from Glades's two punches.

"Uncle!" Jimmy Horne quickly ran forward, using his small body to shield Noah Reyes. He positioned himself between Noah and Glades Horne, tilted his small face up, and said childishly, "Uncle, this uncle didn't hurt me. Why are you hitting him?"

Glades Horne snapped his head down, glaring at the little nephew he regarded as his own son. This little rascal was actually protecting Noah Reyes!

Noah Reyes was deeply moved. His son didn't believe he was his daddy, but Jimmy's every action still showed a clear fondness for him.

It wasn't just Glades Horne who was shocked by Jimmy Horne's protectiveness; Noah Reyes himself was astonished, as was everyone else present.

Deon Myers was also deeply moved. Hearing the Young Master call the Clan Leader 'Uncle' made his heart ache. The Clan Leader had his own unshareable difficulties! They were clearly father and son, having finally met after so much hardship, yet Jimmy only called him 'Uncle.' But the Young Master's protectiveness towards the Clan Leader moved Deon profoundly. Blood ties truly couldn't be severed, even if they had never met before.

"Glades," Julia Bluen also stepped forward. She took Glades Horne's hand and said softly, "Let's go home and discuss this, alright?"

Glades Horne glanced at her, then glared fiercely at Noah Reyes again, saying ominously, "The first punch was for Adele. The second was for Jimmy."

Noah Reyes remained silent. With those words, Glades Horne was indirectly acknowledging that Jimmy Horne was Noah's son.

"As for what you've done to Julia," Glades continued, his voice dangerously low, "I'll be back tomorrow to settle that score with you, piece by piece!"

"Captain Robinson," Julia Bluen turned to Benjamin Robinson and said apologetically, "Captain Robinson, I'm so sorry. We seem to have had a slight misunderstanding with Mr. Reyes. Mr. Reyes and I are actually old acquaintances; we've met before. He was just very eager to catch up, which unfortunately led to Glades misunderstanding the situation. Everything is fine now. Could you please ask your men to stand down?"
