"Billy, Daddy will take you out to play, and Daddy will also bring you back later, okay?" Noah Reyes coaxed. Why wouldn’t his son, who clearly wanted to go out with him, say yes?

Jimmy Horne’s eyes were filled with longing, but he remained silently troubled.
"Billy, you must have been to the Playground before. We can ride airplanes, pirate ships, and there are so many other fun things. Anything you want to play, we can go play," Noah Reyes said, enthusiastically listing all the fun things he could think of at the Playground.
"Come, Daddy will take you."
Jimmy Horne’s little hand twitched. At four years old, he was full of energy and loved to play all over the place. He especially loved going to Playgrounds. However, he hadn’t gone recently because the adults hadn’t taken him. Noah Reyes’s coaxing made him terribly eager, and he really wanted to go out and play with Noah.
Billy, never see that uncle again, okay?
His mommy’s admonition once again swept through his mind. Jimmy’s hand stretched out and then hesitated, not daring to place it in Noah Reyes’s big palm. He looked at Glades Horne, who pursed his lips silently, then turned to look at Julia, who was smiling gently and seemed to be looking at him with encouragement and support.
"Billy, if you don’t want to go, then Daddy will take the little beauty who was just fighting with you," Noah Reyes said, sensing another failure. His gaze shifted, a cunning look crossing his eyes as he spoke deliberately. After saying this, he stood up straight and pretended to walk toward the small dining room.
He noticed that Jimmy Horne and Camila Ruiz were little adversaries, and Jimmy definitely wouldn’t want Camila to snatch his opportunity.
Glades Horne looked surprised. Noah Reyes truly lived up to his name, quickly pinpointing Jimmy Horne’s Achilles’ heel.
"Don’t take smelly Camila. Uncle, take me. I want to go. I’ll go with you, but you also have to bring my Eldest Uncle and his wife," Jimmy Horne decided immediately.
At those words, Glades Horne and Noah Reyes instinctively exchanged glances.
The kid is quite clever.
He liked playing with Noah Reyes, but he also remembered they had only met twice. To Jimmy, Noah was still a stranger. He agreed to go out with Noah, but remained cautious, insisting that Glades Horne and Julia accompany them.

"Uncle, let’s hurry," Jimmy Horne said excitedly, grabbing Noah Reyes and heading outside as soon as Julia agreed to help keep the secret.
After just a couple of steps, Jimmy was lifted into the air as Noah Reyes picked him up.
"Daddy will carry you." At that moment, Noah Reyes was filled with utter joy.
He was very happy to have gotten halfway there. Meeting his son for only the second time and him agreeing to go out and play—he was truly, very happy indeed.

Jimmy Horne didn’t refuse Noah Reyes, letting him carry him away.
"Laughing like an idiot. Even the formidable leader of the Fierce Flame clan can have his silly moments," Glades Horne mocked coldly, ridiculing the way Noah Reyes couldn’t stop smiling.
Julia glanced at him and said, "If you were in Noah’s shoes, and Jimmy were Ivan, experiencing this moment, this scene, and these emotions, you’d be smiling even more foolishly. Don’t use your own happiness to mock others’ misfortune."
"Julia, you’re my wife," Glades Horne called out in a low voice.
"So what? I’m only stating the truth." Julia smiled faintly. She then stood up, went into the dining room to call Rachel Bailey, and, taking Camila Ruiz with them, followed Noah Reyes out.
Hansen Ruiz came out from inside and saw Glades Horne’s expression turn a bit grim. Sensibly, he asked nothing extra and played the invisible man.
The two young ladies had just led Camila Ruiz out of the Main House when Noah Reyes came back, still holding Jimmy Horne.
Seeing the father and son return, Julia asked curiously, "What happened? Did you forget something?"
Noah Reyes glanced at Camila Ruiz and said with a smile, "It’s all good now."
Jimmy Horne looked at him, and Noah Reyes looked back at his son. Father and son exchanged glances as if they had an unspoken understanding; both kept to themselves that the reason they had turned back was because of Camila Ruiz.
Jimmy Horne had been saying he didn’t want Camila Ruiz to go, but when they reached the doorway, he suggested they should take Camila Ruiz with them after all.
Since both young ladies were going along, the two powerful men could only follow suit. Moreover, Glades Horne had to keep an eye on Noah Reyes, curious how Noah would win the bet this time.
On their way to the Playground, it seemed like Noah Reyes instructed the Bodyguards to do something, but no one knew what he had ordered.
「Airport.」
Adele Horne walked out of the airport with only basic luggage. She wore black sunglasses, and her long hair was draped down, masking her face enough to prevent immediate recognition. She stood at the airport entrance, looking around, then took out her phone to call someone from home to pick her up. But after typing in the number, she canceled it.
She had returned ahead of schedule and didn’t want to alarm her family, especially considering that Noah Reyes’s men might be lurking outside her home. Alerting her family could very likely alert Noah Reyes too.
So she hailed a taxi, deciding to do some shopping before heading home.
She hadn’t seen her precious son for nearly ten days. He would call her three times daily, letting her know he was living well and happily at the Ruiz family’s home. She felt grateful to Rachel Bailey from the bottom of her heart. Recalling her past immaturity, she even remembered playing mean tricks on Rachel. Now, the people supporting her were ironically those she previously hadn’t thought much of.
Returning from a long business trip, she planned to buy gifts for her son and nephews, as well as for Camila Ruiz—toys, clothes, food, and all sorts of things.
As night fell, Adele Horne first had dinner at the Emperor Hotel before taking a taxi to Pedestrian Street to shop.
