Prosperous Marriage: Married to My Brother-in-law-Chapter 718: Searched Everywhere, Only to Find it Behind Me (2)_1
The playground at night was just as lively as during the day, as many parents only had free time in the evenings.
Because it was night, even with the lights in the playground, it was difficult for anyone to recognize the identities of Glades Horne and his companions. With so many people coming and going and the children loving to run around everywhere, parents were focused on watching their own kids. Who would have the mind to discern the identities of Glades Horne and his companions?
Instead, it was Noah Reyes’s subordinates who stood out because of their large number, all dressed in black, which easily drew attention.
Upon entering the playground, Noah Reyes only allowed two of his personal bodyguards to follow him, keeping the rest outside. His subordinates were very concerned about his safety, but they dared not disobey his orders. They also knew that this moment was a wonderful time for their boss and the young master to be together.
In the playground, whatever the children liked or wanted to play, Noah Reyes fulfilled their wishes.
"Billy, are you happy?" Just off the merry-go-round, Noah Reyes immediately rushed forward to pick up Jimmy Horne, holding him and asking with a laugh.
Seeing his son’s tender and handsome face break into a happy smile, he felt like the happiest dad in the whole world.
Jimmy Horne nodded, wrapped his arms around Noah Reyes’s neck with a smile, and affectionately kissed him on his handsome face, loudly replying, "Happy, I’m very happy, Uncle. Let’s go ride the bumper cars." Pointing towards the bumper cars nearby, he requested.
"Alright, let’s go ride the bumper cars." Having been kissed by his son, Noah Reyes had already forgotten his own last and first name, his identity, his status. His heart soared into space, drifting and floating.
His son had actually kissed him! Kissed him, yeah! That meant his son really liked him.
With a bit more play, perhaps he could coax his son into calling him Daddy willingly.
Glades Horne, holding Ivan Horne, and Hansen Ruiz, holding Camila Ruiz, also followed into the bumper car arena.
At this moment, watching the children’s innocent smiles, the two gentlemen temporarily had no desire to quarrel with Noah Reyes, and rare smiles spread across their faces.
Julia and Rachel stood outside, smiling as they watched the three pairs of fathers and children climb into the bumper cars.
All three gentlemen were expert drivers. When it came to bumper cars, they proved quite skilled, dodging left and right within the small arena, continually evading other cars to avoid collisions. However, Glades Horne and Hansen Ruiz intentionally and collaboratively enjoyed ganging up and bumping into Noah Reyes and his son’s car.
Thus, the small bumper car arena became the battleground for the three gentlemen. With Noah Reyes on his own and Glades Horne and Hansen Ruiz teamed up, Noah was naturally at a disadvantage.
Fortunately, the children were very happy, with laughter filling the area.
"Those two always look for chances to go after Noah Reyes," Julia said to Rachel with a laugh.
Rachel also nodded with a smile.
In fact, the personalities, capabilities, and methods of these three gentlemen had a few things in common. If it weren’t for their initial opposition and then the matters concerning Adele, these three gentlemen might actually become friends.
Birds of a feather flock together.
Two of Noah Reyes’s bodyguards stood outside, looking angrily at Glades Horne and Hansen Ruiz as they jointly attacked their boss’s car. They really wanted to climb over the railing and jump in to help Noah, but seeing their young master laughing so happily, and their boss showing no sign of anger, the bodyguards had to forcibly restrain themselves.
This trip to Syrena was the most frustrating for them. If it weren’t for their consideration for their young master and the future wife of their boss, they wouldn’t be holding back like this.
Julia and Rachel looked sideways at the two bodyguards.
The bodyguards immediately turned their heads to look back at the two young madams, their eyes cold, showing not even a bit of fondness, probably because of Glades Horne and Hansen Ruiz.
Ignoring the bodyguards’ icy stares, Julia subtly closed the distance between her and the two men. While watching Glades Horne still ramming into Noah Reyes’s car, she whispered, "Go prepare something now, something that will be useful for your boss."
The bodyguards glared at her, neither moving nor responding.
"Go borrow a piece of paper from a shop, and write the word ’Daddy’ in black. Then, use double-sided tape to stick it on. When the timing is right, stick it onto your boss’s back for your young master to see. Then your young master will read ’Daddy,’ which is the same as him voluntarily calling him Daddy," Julia shared her scheme.
Glades Horne had only bet with Noah Reyes, stating that if Noah Reyes could get Jimmy Horne to voluntarily call him ’Daddy,’ then Noah Reyes would win, but he hadn’t emphasized that tricks were off-limits.
Upon hearing this, the bodyguards looked at Julia with disbelief. In their eyes, Julia and Glades Horne were a couple, of one heart, yet they hadn’t expected Julia to actually be helping their boss. And...
"Just do as I say. Your young master recognizes many Chinese characters, and those two were the first ones he learned," Julia said with a light smile, understanding the bodyguards’ thoughts. "If you want to see your boss united with his family of three for real, then do as I tell you," she added.
The bodyguards exchanged looks. One of them left to prepare what Julia had suggested, while the other remained, continuing to watch the "war" in the bumper car arena. He then spoke gratefully to Julia, "Our boss had thought of the same trick, but we didn’t expect the young madam to come up with the same idea."
Julia was momentarily stunned, realizing her worry and help were redundant. Noah Reyes had already thought of resorting to trickery.
"Young madam, both we and our boss will sincerely thank you," the bodyguard said, his tone laden with meaning.
After pondering for a moment, Julia softly smiled, understanding the deeper message in his words.
Noah Reyes had thought of deceit. For his happiness with Adele, he absolutely wouldn’t let himself lose. Of course, what he wanted most was to win his son’s sincere call through genuine emotion. But since Julia’s idea coincided with his, he could conceal his own thoughts and take advantage of hers.
Glades Horne spoiled his wife to the skies. Even if he knew Julia was teaching them to cheat, he might be very angry, yet he would not do anything to Julia.
Moreover, wasn’t Glades Horne fully aware of Noah Reyes? By not stressing that deceit was forbidden, he was essentially leaving Noah Reyes an out.
Glades Horne was playing the heavy, allowing his beloved wife to play the good cop—a profound act of affection for her.
Soon enough, time was up, and all the bumper cars came to a stop.
Noah Reyes’s car, cornered by both Glades Horne and Hansen Ruiz, was still under siege even after everything had halted.
Holding his son as he got out of the car and walked out of the arena, Noah Reyes asked with a smile, "Billy, what else do you want to play?"
