Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 560: We Came to Find You to Hang Out
Bang bang bang!
The next day, Lily Turner was startled awake by the sound of knocking. Groggily, she reached out to feel the spot next to her, but her hand fell on emptiness. Her eyes shot open.
There was no one beside her!
Lily glanced at the empty space next to her, rubbed her eyes, and sat up.
Bang bang bang!
Perhaps having waited too long without an answer, the person outside grew impatient and knocked on the door again.
"Is it Aunt?"
While asking, Lily got out of bed to open the door.
As soon as she spoke, Aunt Li’s voice came from outside, "It’s me! Your sister called saying she urgently needs to find you."
"Got it, Aunt!"
Lily replied to Aunt Li knocking outside, turned, and headed towards the sofa area in the room, where the landline phone was on a small table.
She rushed over, not bothering to sit down, picked up the phone, and placed it against her ear. "Hello! Sis!"
If her guess was correct, her sister calling at this time must be related to their heartless mother.
"Lily! Come out immediately, Mom and I are at the gate of the compound." Alice Turner’s words were filled with urgency, her tone anxious.
Sure enough, it was related to her mother!
Lily didn’t feel any joy at having guessed right. Hearing that her sister and mom were at the compound gate made her uneasy. "What do you need from me?"
After what happened last night, she didn’t dare to casually go out to see her mom.
"You think we’re just here for fun?"
Sophia Wood’s fiery voice came through the phone, uncontrolled due to her anger.
Lily’s ears rang painfully, and she pulled the phone away from her ear. She glanced at the door to ensure those outside wouldn’t hear, then turned on the speakerphone.
"If it’s important, say it over the phone. I’m not in a position to go out to see you right now." She emphasized not seeing "you" because she really didn’t want to see the person speaking to her.
Nothing good ever came from this person looking for her. She had no intention of going out, especially with the need to protect the baby in her belly, which wasn’t just hers alone.
"You... I really have something urgent to discuss!"
Sophia seemed very angry, yet had to suppress her brewing rage.
Over the phone, Lily detected Sophia’s restraint, but she still refused to give in, unwilling to go out and meet her. "If there’s something, just say it over the phone."
No matter what Sophia said or called her, Lily wouldn’t leave today.
"This matter cannot be clearly explained over the phone. I must see you in person." Sophia was determined, with a persistent attitude of not giving up until she saw Lily.
Just as Lily was about to refuse the person on the phone, a third voice appeared, "Hello! You must be Lily’s mom. I’m Easton’s grandfather. Please wait at the door for a moment, I’ll send someone to bring you in."
The house phone lines were connected, and Callix Linton, downstairs, overheard Lily and Sophia’s conversation.
He hadn’t intended to eavesdrop; while waiting for Aunt Li to come down, he unintentionally heard the dialogue between the two.
