Chapter 576: Chapter 576: An Insider Dinner 3

Easton Holmes didn’t hand the menu back to Lily Turner, nor did he return it to Michael Linton. He skillfully placed the order without even glancing at the menu.

"Please wait a moment, gentlemen!"

After Easton finished ordering the last dish, the waiter took the ordered menu and left the private room.

"Shall we have a drink?"

Michael Linton didn’t take it upon himself to order alcohol, instead, he tilted his head to consult Easton Holmes for his opinion. In his heart, he preferred not to drink since they would handle important matters later.

"Let’s not have any alcohol; water will be fine."

Easton wasn’t one to indulge in alcohol, especially with a pregnant woman sitting beside him. He didn’t want to expose her to any fumes.

His thoughts aligned perfectly with his uncle, Michael Linton, who also refrained from suggesting alcohol again.

When the waiter brought all the dishes, Michael Linton was the first to raise his glass of water, "Easton! Lily! Today, I toast you with tea instead of wine. Congratulations on your marriage, wishing you a long and happy life together."

After speaking, he lifted his water glass towards the couple sitting not far away.

"Thank you, Uncle!"

Seeing this, Lily Turner hurriedly stood up with her water glass in hand.

Easton Holmes glanced at her standing up, then followed suit. He bent over to lift his water glass, clinking it in the air with Michael Linton’s glass, "We gladly accept your blessings and will drink to that first."

"Wife! Come on, let’s toast too."

Before drinking the water in his glass, he clinked glasses with hers. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

After the three of them drank their water, they started eating.

Michael Linton had something on his mind and was somewhat distracted while eating. After a few bites, he made an excuse to go to the restroom and left the private room, deliberately leaving the door ajar.

Easton Holmes was focused on monitoring Lily Turner as she ate, not noticing these details. He also wouldn’t have thought Michael Linton left the door open on purpose.

Creak!

Hearing the sound of the door opening, Easton assumed it was Michael Linton returning from the restroom and didn’t even turn his head.

Lily Turner instinctively turned her head to look at the door, and upon seeing a vaguely familiar man walk in, her brow furrowed unconsciously.

Easton Holmes noticed her confused frown and followed her gaze to the door. Seeing the person who walked in, he exclaimed, "Uncle!"

He stood up from his seat, full of curiosity, to greet Aiden Taylor, who was walking toward them.

"I saw it was you two when I passed by the door, so I took the liberty of walking in." Aiden Taylor explained as he approached them.

Easton instinctively glanced at the door, noticing it was half-open. He figured it might have been left that way when his uncle, Michael Linton, went out.

"Did you just arrive, or are you about to leave?"

He assumed it was a coincidence and didn’t consider any other possibilities.

"The person I was scheduled to meet couldn’t make it, so now I..."

"Aiden?!"

At that moment, Michael Linton walked in from outside, pretending to be surprised and called out to Aiden Taylor. Upon hearing his voice, Aiden Taylor turned to look at him, "Michael!"

The two acted as if they had truly bumped into each other by chance, greeting warmly as the other two watched in a daze.

"The person you were meeting didn’t show up, so why don’t you stay and eat with us? The two of us can keep you company." Michael Linton approached and invited Aiden Taylor to stay and dine with them.
