"Honey! I’m heading downstairs."

After Easton Holmes spoke to Lily Turner, he quickly flicked Athena Linton’s forehead and left the room, striding towards the stairs before she could react.

By the time Athena reacted, Easton was already at the stairway. She angrily pointed at him as he descended, "Brother! Just you wait!"

"Goddess sis! My brother bullied me again, you have to avenge me." Feeling secretly wronged by Easton, Athena turned to Lily inside the room, pitifully asking her goddess sister for help.

She put on a pitiful look just to gain some sympathy from her goddess sister.

"Poor little thing! Let go of your goddess sister quickly, I need to fix her makeup, or we’ll run out of time." Hazel Jackson entered and noticed that Lily’s makeup was smudged, especially the lip gloss, which was mostly gone.

If she guessed correctly, the lip gloss was eaten by the groom.

Hearing that her goddess sister was about to have her makeup fixed, Athena stopped clinging onto Lily and immediately let her go.

"Hazel sis! Does my makeup need fixing too?" Athena pointed to her face and asked.

Hazel followed her gesture to have a look and saw her makeup was well-preserved, "Just a slight touch-up later and it’ll be OK!"

Both the bride and the bridesmaid need to look beautiful.

Without further chit-chat, Lily and her three sisters moved to the sofa and sat down, obediently letting Hazel fix their makeup.

Alice Turner and Athena Linton sat beside them, watching Hazel work on Lily’s makeup. The two seemed to have agreed beforehand, not engaging in conversation with the other pair.

They sat quietly, not interrupting the other two.

After nearly half an hour, Hazel completed the makeup task, allowing Lily to let out a long breath, "Phew! I can finally sit down and rest."

She got up and moved aside, making space for Hazel and Athena.

"The makeup artist hasn’t complained, but the one being made up started first, why am I so pitiful?" Hazel looked at Lily who moved aside to rest, with a bitter look on her face yet a smile in her eyes.

"Haha!"

Seeing Hazel’s exaggerated bitter look, Lily laughed heartily.

Seeing Lily laugh so joyfully, Alice’s heart, which was tense when she came upstairs, settled down. She had worried that woman’s appearance might affect her sister’s mood.
