Lily Turner’s premonition was right, Amelia Linton did indeed follow her and Easton Holmes out from inside.

Amelia Linton had been observing the actions of the two throughout and upon seeing them emerge, she got up and followed without hesitation.

Easton Holmes immediately sensed something was amiss with Lily Turner. He turned his head and followed her gaze to see his mother, Amelia Linton’s silhouette reflected in his view.

"Do you need something?"

His tone was icy, his demeanor was icy, his gaze was icy, and his presence was even icier.

"Speak properly."

Lily Turner sensed Easton Holmes’s coldness. She quietly tugged at his clothes, softly reminding him to speak properly, after all, she was his mother.

She didn’t know what unpleasant incident could have occurred between him and his mother that caused them to be so at odds.

Initially, she thought it was because of her, but later she realized it wasn’t solely due to herself; there were other issues between them.

Her relationship with her own mother was terrible before, yet now they’ve transitioned to a close mother-daughter bond that should be normal.

Easton Holmes squeezed her hand that was tugging at his clothes and tenderly said, "You should head to the restroom, I’ll wait for you outside."

He glanced at the restroom not far ahead, signaling her to go on her own.

"Okay."

Lily Turner looked at Easton Holmes, then glanced at Amelia Linton standing behind him, and with a sense of worry, went to the restroom.

Easton Holmes kept his gaze fixed on the figure heading to the restroom until she was inside, then slowly turned to face Amelia Linton behind him.

"What’s so good about that woman? She looks like a witch." Amelia Linton glanced in the direction of the restroom and finally turned her gaze back to Easton Holmes. Today was the first time she saw her son in a military dress, and he looked even more handsome.

Her son was so outstanding; he should marry an equally outstanding woman to be his wife for them to be a perfect match.

Easton Holmes frowned and blurted out, "I just like women like her."

He wouldn’t argue with his mother about what kind of woman Lily Turner was; he simply stated firmly that he just liked women like Lily Turner.
