Song Recommendation: Mafia In The Morning By Itzy!
"Would you like to apologize to your mom? You have hurt her deeply, and she is also worried about you," Wu Tang asked, cutting his celebration short.
"Do you think my mom would be willing to forgive me? Like you said, I have hurt her with my words," Tang Ni had a face full of guilt as he played with his fingers.
"I believe your mom would be happy to forgive you, no matter what, you are still her son, and she loves you so much," Wu Tang explained to him, and his eyes brightened.
"Then in that case, I should apologize to her, and apologize, thank you Uncle Wu, or rather, father," Tang Ni smiled happily, and Wu Tang instinctively ruffled his hair.
After both of them had their fun, they went back into the building.
Tang Mei, on seeing them immediately rushed to them before they could even enter the room, "Tang Ni, I apologize for what she did to you, I promise I would not lose my temper again, please forgive mommy."
Tang Mei immediately squatted to his level as she apologized, hugging him at the same time.
"Mommy, Tang Ni is not angry, I should be the one to apologize to you, I did not care about your feelings, and I acted rashly, I should not have done so," Tang Ni apologized as well.
"Mommy isn’t angry, I am glad you are happy," Tang Mei smiled at him as she stood up.
"Let’s go to the living room, I will have the maids whip up something for you both," Wu Tang informed her, and she nodded.
"Come mom, I will take you to the living room," Tang Ni was in a good mood as he pulled the unsuspecting Tang Mei who let out an excited yelp.
While in the living room, Tang Ni gawked at his mom who was telling him a story.
"Mom, when were you going to tell me about your marriage to Uncle Wu?" Tang Ni interrupted his mom’s speech.
Tang Mei paused for a second, before looking at him with furrowed brows.
"Wait a minute, how did you find out about it?" Tang Mei frowned. She did not want her son to be aware of the marriage, she wanted to keep it a secret.
But now that he was aware, he was going to pester her about showing up for the wedding, and if he did, everyone would find out she was with a child. That was not what she wanted.
"I asked a question, how did you find out about it?" Tang Mei pressed for an answer.
"Uncle Wu told me about it," Tang Ni replied fearfully.
A sharp light flashed through Tang Mei’s eyes as she gritted her teeth. She felt vexed about his actions.
"But that is a good thing, I want Uncle Wu to be my father, and that is going to happen, it is a win-win situation for both of us," Tang Ni did not seem to understand the severity of the situation as he happily mapped out what their lives would look like after the marriage.
Tang Mei wanted to snap at him, but she could not bear to. She had already done so earlier, she could not afford to do the same again.
"I will be right back, do you know where your Uncle Wu would be currently?" Tang Mei asked with a gentle smile.
"He should be in his office, you can ask any of the nice guards, they would be happy to give you directions," Tang Ni replied, not sensing his mom’s increasingly annoyed expression.
Tang Mei left the living room, and walked to a random place. The building was gigantic, and she could easily lose her way.
Thankfully, she met one of the guards who gave her directions to Wu Tang’s office.
Once she got there, she knocked on the door, and only went in when she heard the approval to come in.
"Wu Tang, I want to speak with you," Tang Mei swallowed all the profanities she was about to spew when she noticed how dark and eerie the office looked.
She shuddered slightly as she could make out silhouettes of guns. She could only gulp down her words.
Wu Tang, on the other hand, was sitting on the chair while going through some files. He did not mind where he was, and it got Tang Mei thinking.
What could be the source of his wealth? He looked like someone who was involved in some sort of shady business.
"You are already speaking with me, aren’t you?" He answered her without looking up to her.
Tang Mei took deep breaths in as she asked, "why did you tell my son of our wedding? It was meant to be a secret, don’t you know how dangerous it would be for me if people find out about him?"
Finally, her words got his attention as he raised his head to look at her.
"And have you thought about how your son would feel? Do you know how happy he was when I informed him of the marriage? You would not know as you only care about yourself," Wu Tang sneered at her. fгeewёbnoѵel_cσm
"You and I know this marriage is fake, it is going to fall apart sooner, it is not meant to happen in the first place, why are you giving my son a reality which isn’t true?"
Tang Mei placed her hands on her forehead, already thinking about how her son would be devastated when he found out that the wedding was not real.
"Then, we will make it real," Wu Tang blurted out without thinking.
Tang Mei looked at him, wondering if there was something wrong with him.
"Do you know what you are saying? I hope you do not allow your sentiments to cloud your judgement, which will make you deviate from your original goal," Tang Mei felt the need to remind him that the wedding was anything but real.
"Listen, I know what I am doing, I only see you as a partner because we have the same goal," Wu Tang started, but that was a lie. His goal was wholly different from hers, but she did not need to know about that.
"But your son holds a special place in my heart, and if I can make him happy, even if it is for a small period of time, I would do it," Wu Tang muttered with fierce determination, and this was the first time Tang Mei was seeing a genuine look on his face.
