Rebirth: The Heiress Plans Her Revenge-Chapter 179: Tang Mei’s Outburst
Chapter 179: Chapter 179: Tang Mei’s Outburst
Song Recommendation: One Spark By Twice
After the mother and son were done crying their eyes out, Tang Ni sat down to tell his mom about his experience.
"Mom, you have no idea, but Uncle Wu is so nice, take a look at all my toys, he got them for me, he is such a nice person, I sincerely wish he was my father," Tang Ni commented with a sigh, prompting Tang Mei to stop what she was doing.
She looked at her son who had a look of yearning on his face, and her mood was affected. She has always known about her son’s longing for a father, but she could not give him that.
"Tang Ni, do not say something like that again, I would rather not hear you mention it, don’t even think about it," she warned him, and he frowned.
"But why can’t I, Mom? You have no idea how I was ridiculed back in the states because I have no father, you cannot even understand because you are not the one who had experienced it, I want a father, why can’t you give me a complete family?"
Tang Ni raised his voice at her as he acted defiantly.
Tang Mei was furious by his actions, and this caused her to give him a resounding slap.
Pak!
The sound reverberated across the room. Wu Tang heard the sound from where he was seated, but he did not bother going in. It was between mother and son, they needed to deal with it by themselves.
Tang Mei had a look of horror on her face as she looked at the imprint of her five fingers on her son’s cheeks. This was the first time she was raising her hands to him.
"Tang Ni, I am deeply sorry, Mommy didn’t mean to, I am sorry," Tang Mei tried to hold him, but he escaped from her.
"Don’t touch me, you are a bad mother, you aren’t concerned about your son’s feelings, and you are selfish," he yelled, tears falling from his eyes as he stormed out of the room.
Wu Tang frowned looking at the swift boy. He did not have an opportunity to think as Tang Mei also dashed out of the room, yelling his name.
He held his forehead as he felt a headache incoming. Likewise, he did not want to interfere, but he had already grown to like Tang Ni, so he could only interfere.
Tang Mei did not know where he must have gone, and her heart was heavy. She held her forehead, feeling guilty about her outburst.
She then heard footsteps behind her, and she swiftly turned to look. Lo and behold, it was Wu Tang.
"My son... Tang Ni... I do not..." She stuttered.
Wu Tang sighed, "I will find him, just go into the room, he is going to come to you," he assured her, and she nodded, before walking to the room with her heart heavy.
Wu Tang exhaled, before walking to a particular spot. He had spent a lot of time with the little boy, and he could tell what his favorite spot in the entire building was.
He smiled as he approached the swimming pool, and his smile widened when he saw the boy sitting at the edge of the pool, his legs dangling in the air.
"Tang Ni, can I have a seat with you?" Tang Ni raised his head to look at Wu Tang who had a rare look of gentleness on his face.
"You can," he replied as he stared into the water.
Wu Tang did not say anything, only accompanying the little boy in silence.
"Do you think I was asking for too much?" Tang Ni suddenly spoke up.
Wu Tang smiled. This was what he aimed to achieve. He wanted the little boy to open up himself.
"And what might you be asking for?" Wu Tang played dumb.
Tang Ni breathed out.
"While I was in the States, I was mocked for not having a father by those kids, at first, I did not bother my mom about it, she was tight-lipped about who my father was, so I did not bother her,
But now, after seeing you, I do not think it is a bad idea for you and my mom to get married, I would love to have you as my dad, I only want a complete family," Tang Ni’s eyes glistened with tears.
Wu Tang was stunned by his words. He had no idea that this was what was on Tang Ni’s mind. He looked at the boy, and he wondered what he was to tell the little boy.
"Look, Tang Ni, you should learn to understand your mother, she has been through a lot, and constantly asking about your father tends to open old wounds, I hope you get what I am trying to say," Wu Tang tried to explain to him.
As much as he hated Tang Mei, he found himself loving her son. And he would do anything to put a smile on his face, even if it meant speaking up for Tang Mei.
Tang Ni turned to look at him, befuddled by what he meant, but nevertheless, he was not going to question him.
"And about me being your father, I guess your wish is about to come through soon," Wu Tang spoke cryptically as he gave him a mischievous smile.
"What do you mean by that?" Tang Ni asked with a hint of curiosity in his eyes.
"Your mom and I are getting married," Wu Tang announced, it sounded bitter to his ears, but anything that could be done to put a smile on Tang Ni’s face was to be done.
Tang Ni had a surprised look on his face as he stared at Wu Tang with a hint of suspicion in his eyes.
"You are not lying to me, are you?" He asked, the doubt glaring in his eyes.
Wu Tang chuckled, "I am not, your mom and I have been planning our wedding for a while now, it was meant to be a surprise, but I ruined it," he scratched his head awkwardly.
"Yes!" Tang Ni screamed excitedly, as he celebrated the news, while Wu Tang had a doting look on his face as he watched him.
