She was not meant to be shy, though. This was not the first time it was going to happen, it was only a matter of time, and she should not be running from it.

"I am done, you can go use the shower now," she announced as soon as she stepped out of the bathroom.

Li Qiang nodded, as he left his study table. He was working on some files.

As Li Qiang passed by her, Xin Yan swallowed a deep breath. His hormones were oozing, and she had dirty thoughts running through her mind.

’Xin Yan, what the heck are you thinking about? You should not think about that,’ she mused to herself as she cupped her forehead, feeling frustrated.

A few minutes later, Xin Yan heard the sound of the shower being turned off.

Her heart literally flipped as she gripped the bedsheets tightly.

It only got worse when she heard the door was unlocked, and she did the best thing she could do, pretending to be asleep.

"Oh, it seems she is asleep, I guess I will not be able to do what I planned to do previously, what a shame," Li Qiang shook his head, his voice twinged with disappointment.

He almost chuckled when he noticed how Xin Yan clenched the bedsheets.

She scrunched her face, feeling annoyed, and as soon as she snapped her eyes opened, she was met with Li Qiang’s beautiful black eyes.

She widened her eyes, before closing them, but what entered her ears was Li Qiang’s loud laugh.

"I thought you were asleep," he commented, his voice sounding teasing.

"I am!" Xin Yan replied with a muffled voice. She had never felt so embarrassed in her entire life before.

"I hear you, if you are not ready, I assure you that we won’t do anything, like I said, I will continue to wait until you are ready," Li Qiang sat on the bed as he assured her.

With his words, Xin Yan finally opened her eyes as she sat up straight. She stared straight into his eyes, and she could see the sincerity in his words in her eyes.

"But what if you are tired of waiting?" She found herself asking.

"That won’t happen, I have been waiting for a long time, except for the time we spent together when we were still young, but that’s not what I am supposed to say, I will be ready whenever you are, that I promise you," Li Qiang explained to her, his words sounding so reassuring.

Xin Yan looked at the man who she had loved for a long time, and she clenched her fists. There was nothing to be scared of anyway. This was not going to be the first time they were going to do it anyway.

"I am ready!" She suddenly announced, her words catching him off guard.

"Wait a minute, you do not need to do something you are not willing to do, I mean...."

"I am ready, I have thought about it for a long time, why should I run away from it? This will not be the first time, this was going to happen in due time," she cut him off immediately with her words.

"Are you sure about that?" Li Qiang was still worried about it. He was not willing to force her into doing something she did not wish to do.

"I am, there is nothing to be scared of," Xin Yan sounded calm, but her trembling fingers gave her away.

Li Qiang noticed it, but he did not point it out. He would rather not dampen her mood.

"If that is what you want, then who am I to refuse?" He inched closer to her as he dropped low kisses from her face, and down to her neck.

Xin Yan fisted her hands on the bedsheets as she felt stimulated. She stiffened a bit when she felt him bite the nape.

"I can stop if you want me to," Li Qiang raised his head as he looked at her with worried eyes.

"No!" She yelled, instantly refusing his words.

"You can continue, I will be fine," she mentioned as she took deep breaths to calm herself down.

Li Qiang continued to trace kisses down her neck, as he enjoyed her after shower smell.

Xin Yan slowly loosened her hands and her grip relaxed around the bedsheets.

This was who she vowed to be with forever. Connecting with him in the physical, spiritual and mental aspects was natural.

Finally, her body softened, and she accepted all he had to give
