"That’s enough, he is my son, and he considers her to be his mother, what is wrong with that?" Wu Tang yelled, his yell causing silence to reign in the hall, so much that even the slight ruffle of a tree could be heard outside.
"Why must you all be so quick to condemn the lady for any wrong thing, I don’t believe the people of high society could be so petty," Wu Tang shook his head as though he were disappointed?
"You all should not be so quick to jump into conclusions when you don’t have any idea about the situation, it just shows how narrow-minded you are," Wu Tang continued. It was obvious he was in a bad mood.
"The wedding reception is cancelled, you all can head back to your house, you are not needed here anymore," Wu Tang practically chased them from the hall.
"Wait a minute, Wu Tang, what are you doing?" Shi Liran immediately walked to Wu Tang, who was still seething in anger, questioning him for his decisions.
"This is what they deserve, they just jumped into conclusions without solid proof, it shows how narrow-minded and conceited they are," Wu Tang was not ready to listen to Shi Liran.
Tang Mei looked at the determined expression on his face, with the way his jaw clenched and how his hands were balled into fists, she was tempted to laugh.
She knew what he was planning. She finally realized that this was Wu Tang’s plans.
"So, you want them all to leave?" Shi Liran asked as her eyes took in the expressions of all the guests. They all had offended looks, and it was obvious that they were greatly insulted by his words.
"Yes, they are all eyesores," Wu Tang replied.
"Fine then, if that’s what you want, fine then, I will politely ask them to leave," Shi Liran shook her head at his unreasonable demand, but she did not try to go against him, it was not worth it anyway.
"Let’s go," Wu Tang pulled Tang Mei and Tang Ni as they both exited the hall.
"Aunty, what is wrong with him," Xin Yan and Li Qiang approached Shi Liran who had her hands on her forehead looking exhausted.
She let out an exasperated sigh before replying, "Wu Tang is annoyed with their actions, and he wants them to leave, he doesn’t care about the impact of his actions on his reputation, he just wants them out."
Li Qiang frowned, "I would also do the same thing he did, I can’t stand someone insulting Xin Yan, and though he might not like Tang Mei, she is still his wife, I support his actions, the guests were rude in their words."
"Qiang is right, Aunt, no man would like it if his wife is insulted, I will assist in waking the guests out," Xin Yan stated.
"I know, I am just surprised the wedding turned out to be this way, and it is shocking that he has a child," Shi Liran replied with a tired sigh.
"You can confront him later, and from the looks of things, Tang Mei was aware of it, and the kid seems pretty close to her," Xin Yan commented.
While they were discussing, the majority of the guests had already left. They felt offended by Wu Tang’s words, but they did not stop to think that their actions were the reason he went berserk.
"Let’s appease the other guests, before they leave with a bellyful of anger," Shi Liran spoke up when she noticed that the guests were about to leave.
Meanwhile, Wu Tang had a smug smile on his face as they boarded the car.
"So this was your plan," Tang Mei folded her arms with a crease of her eyebrow.
"Did you like it? The reception was cancelled, and I know you are excited about it," Wu Tang replied, gesturing for the driver to drive.
"You involved my son in your plans, practically, the whole of Beijing would know my son," Tang Mei was furious about this matter.
"Relax, they won’t tie this matter with you at all, did you not hear me announce him as my son?" No denying, Wu Tang felt good announcing Tang Ni as his son, it was the truth at the end of the day.
"What if they decide to investigate, you do not know about the members of the high society, they are all curious, and it won’t take a minute for them to begin their investigations," Tang Mei exhaled as she looked at her son who was staring at her with a hint of curiosity in his eyes.
Tang Ni did not understand what was going on, or what they were discussing, but he knew that it was a serious matter, and it seems to involve him; thus, he stayed quiet.
"I won’t allow them to investigate this issue, you should learn to trust me, especially when it comes to matters concerning Tang Ni, after all, he is my son," Wu Tang whispered the last part of the sentence to himself.
Tang Mei looked at Wu Tang, who had a serious look on his face. She sighed, and decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.
She chose to trust him because she had seen how much he had taken care of Tang Ni, it was something she could not do for her son, she could not be a father to him.
"Fine, I am placing my son into your hands, his identity is sensitive, if people get to find out his origin, I am afraid it will hurt him more than it will hurt me," Tang Mei had a depressed look on her face, as her eyelashes drooped slightly.
Wu Tang secretly clenched his hands. He could understand what Tang Mei was worried about. How he wished he could scream to the whole world that Tang Ni was his real son, but he did not have that sort of courage.
"I will do everything within my power to keep him safe, just trust me," he said to her with a sincere gaze, and she nodded. There was nothing she could do at this point.
While Wu Tang was promising to keep Tang Ni safe, the internet blew up with the shocking news.
The media revealed that the wedding ceremony ended in issues with the presence of a child, which turns out to be Wu Tang’s child, as he mentioned.
Comments were rapidly flying on the internet as various netizens aired their views.
"Damn! I was not expecting this to be the wedding of the year."
"There are two weddings of the year, one is the positive one, and the other is the negative one."
This particular comment was pushed to the top.
"Wu Tang and Tang Mei are enemies of Xin Yan and Li Qiang, it is funny how their wedding ceremony ended this way."
"This has to be the biggest scandal of the year, the man has an illegitimate child, how interesting?"
"I wonder if Tang Mei really liked the boy, as Wu Tang claimed."
"Wu Tang is very rude, this is not the way to talk to his guests, it shows how he was brought up."
"Let’s be realistic here, you all condemning him will do the same thing if your son and wife were insulted that way."
"I agree with you, the guests must have said things which hurt him, and he reacted in that manner."
For a moment, the comment sections were divided. The majority of the commenters were against his actions, while only a few people were on his side.
"Don’t read the comments again, it will do you no good," Wu Tang spoke up, startling Tang Mei who kept her phone immediately.
"I am not reading the comments," Tang Mei replied.
"Are you trying to deny the obvious?" Wu Tang asked with his hands folded as the car came to a stop.
"Boss, we have arrived," the driver announced.
"Let’s go," Wu Tang instructed as he picked up Tang Ni, who was already asleep.
The drama ended, or did it?
Like Tang Mei mentioned, the members of the high society were all nosy people, and it was not long before they started their investigation.
At Li Qiang’s Mansion, Xin Yan sat with a glass of wine in her hand as she thought about the day’s events.
"What are you doing with a glass of wine?" Li Qiang showed up, his presence shocked her.
"I. I just needed a glass, the events of today caused me to feel confused, and."
"And the only way you could think of taking care of it is to drink?" Li Qiang cut her off immediately.
"I am sorry," she apologized, while burping.
"Hand it over," he stretched forth his hands to her.
She shook her head immediately.
"No please, let me complete this one glass, you cannot take this away from me," Xin Yan was a bit drunk, and Li Qiang noticed it immediately.
He picked up the wine bottle, and her facepalmed, seeing that she had taken the one which had the largest quantity of alcohol.
