Li Qiang smiled, patting her head at the same time.

"Hmm, I will do just as you have said, if I do face issues, you would be the first person I come to meet, I will not run away from you," he promised her, and she nodded absentmindedly.

He held her hands, staring straight into her eyes, "they might condemn you at first, but that should not make you doubt the love they have for you," he patiently explained to her, hoping she would not have weird thoughts about her biological maternal home.

"You are right, I should not be scared, instead, I should be bold," Zhang Luiying took deep breaths in as she chanted the mantra to calm herself.

"Everything will be fine," he assured her, and she nodded, before both of them exited the mansion.

A few minutes later, they arrived at Zhang’s family home, and they were welcomed cordially.

Her father and mother, including her elder brother, Zhang Caixuan and Zhang Linlin were around. They had informed them the previous day that they had wanted to speak with them, so they all decided to clear the schedules.

"Sister, I haven’t seen you in the shop for a while now, what is wrong?" Linlin immediately approached Zhang Luiying.

"Linlin, I haven’t been well for the past few days, so I could not show up," Zhang Luiying replied, ruffling the girl’s hair.

"Hey, I just tried this style, don’t ruin it," Linlin warned as she fixed it, while glaring at Zhang Luiying who was tempted to laugh.

"Mom, dad, brother," Zhang Luiying greeted, and they smiled at her, thrilled that she was around.

"Xin Yi, why does my sister look pale? And she seems to have lost weight, tell me, are you not taking care of her? Remember that I am able to take her away from you," Zhang Caixuan attacked Xin Yi immediately on seeing that Zhang Luiying had lost weight.

"Relax, brother, I am fine, Xin Yi has been taking care of me properly," Zhang Luiying stopped her brother from going berserk.

"Then why do you look this way? It is worrying," Zhang Caixuan was concerned about her.

Xin Yi stood straight with his hands in his pocket as he looked at Zhang Luiying who was taking deep breaths.

"Brother, please have a seat, I have something to talk about," Zhang Luiying pleaded with a serious look.

They all noticed the serious look in her eyes, and they decided to listen to her, taking their seats.

"We have good news and bad news, the good news is that I am pregnant," Zhang Luiying announced, giving them the good news first.

There were voices of exclamation following her announcement.

Separating his daughter from him was not enough, now that they were reunited, they hoped to kill her.

"Zhang Bo," he replied with a heavy look.

At the mention of his name, the entire atmosphere turned gloomy.

"Who is this Zhang Bo?" Zhang Luiying asked inquisitively seeing that they all had grave expressions on their faces.

"He is your uncle, but he is not considered family as he has always tried to go against us, he is my elder brother, and he is bitter because I was chosen as the successor of the family business," her father replied while pinching the space between his brows.

"Uncle Bo has always shown how much he hates our family, he does not bother to hide it, I won’t be surprised if he is the one behind all these, but then again, it is not in uncle’s nature to attack from behind," Zhang Caixuan analyzed.

Hearing his analysis, everyone fell into deep thoughts.

"From what I have heard you both say, it can be deduced that Zhang Bo could be the mastermind, or there could be someone else behind it, someone you did not expect, taking advantage of Zhang Bo’s hatred against you because you would all believe he could be the one," Xin Yi analyzed perfectly the situation.

They all fell silent at his words. What he said perfectly made sense, and who knows, it could be the truth.

"So we have two situations now, one, Zhang Bo could be the culprit, second, another person could be using Zhang Bo as a shield, this is what you mean, isn’t it?" Zhang Lei, her father, asked with a terrible expression on his face.

He did not know if his family could not have a moment of peace. Why did they have to fish out the villains daily?

"What do we need to do?" Zhang Lei asked at once. He was unable to allow his daughter to be hurt, or that will hurt him immensely.
