Chapter 224: Chapter 224: Convincing Li Qiang

Song Recommendation: Up By Karina

"Not yet Aunt, but I have been able to apprehend the men, I will begin interrogation on them soon," Xin Yi spoke up at this time, and she nodded.

"Sister, I am glad that you are safe, do we need to take you for a checkup, your baby needs to have a checkup done," Zhang Linlin stated, and with her words, they were reminded that she was pregnant with a child.

Zhang Luiying was about to refuse a checkup, but seeing the worried looks on their faces, she finally gave in to put their minds at rest.

The day was over, and the twins were not back. But both Xin Yan and Li Qiang had mixed feelings. They were aware of their location, but having their kids under the same building as Wu Tang and Tang Mei was sickening.

They could only hope Tang Mei did not mistreat them due to her obsession and hate.

It was even more annoying knowing that Wu Tang did not occupy the mansion he bought just beside them. Surely, he was using a different mansion; thus they could not meet with their kids.

As they stepped into the mansion, Xin Yan got a text message. She read the message, and her brows furrowed immediately. Li Qiang sensed the change in her, and he stopped to ask her what was wrong.

"It is not a big deal, just Wu Tang asking me to meet," she mentioned it casually as she kept her phone.

"You mean it is not a big deal? Wu Tang asking you to meet is no big deal, you have got to be kidding me," Li Qiang rubbed his forehead.

"It really isn’t a big deal," Xin Yan stated. But she seemed to have forgotten that Li Qiang was possessive about her, especially after Wu Tang had made his intention of taking her away from Li Qiang away.

"Oh my goodness, Xin Yan, why are you acting clueless?" Li Qiang held his forehead as he questioned her.

Aunt Guo watched as the couple argued, and she had a smile on her face.

"I do not understand what you are trying to say," Xin Yan clearly understood, but she decided to tease him. It felt good teasing him.

"Master, Mistress, see, your son has found love, he is happy, you can be rest assured now," she whispered.

"Aunt Guo, please prepare a light dinner for us, thank you," Xin Yan requested as she noticed Aunt Guo who was finding it difficult to hide her smile.

"Sure thing, Young Mistress," Aunt Guo shook her head with a smile, before she walked to the kitchen.

Li Qiang gave Xin Yan a side eye, "there is absolutely no way you would agree to meet him," he stated, his voice could not hide the jealousy and possessiveness he felt.

"But I wish to go, I need to know what he wants to talk about, and maybe, I could find out where Chuxi and Meimei are," Xin Yan gave him a reasonable excuse.

"No way, do you doubt that I cannot find both Chuxi and Meimei?" Li Qiang had a face full of disappointment as he looked at her in pain.

"That was not what I meant, I could hasten things this way, please Qiang, don’t you trust me?" Xin Yan asked. She decided to use a cheap trick. She did not care if it was cheap, as long as she could get what she wanted.

"Of course, I trust you, don’t you ever think that I do not trust you," Li Qiang cut her off immediately.

"Then if you do, can you allow me to go? Please," she pleaded, her eyes becoming misty.

Li Qiang sighed. Now that she was looking at him with those puppy eyes of hers, he had no choice but to give in.

"Fine!" He nodded, and she smiled triumphantly.

"Yes, thank you, I know Qiang is the best," she even gave him a peck on the lips impulsively. It was only after she was done with it, she realized what she had done.

She chuckled slightly before running up the stairs. Li Qiang, on the other hand, stood still as his hands touched the cheek which had just been pecked, and he broke into a smile immediately.

After they had both freshened up, Xin Yan and Li Qiang sat at the table as they were served by Aunt Guo. Just as Xin Yan had requested, it was a light dinner. freewebnøvel_com

After dinner, they retired to their rooms. There, Li Qiang was making rules for her to follow.

"I have agreed to allow you to see him, but that is under certain conditions," Qiang declared while they were both on the bed.

Xin Yan sighed. She was already expecting this anyway. Li Qiang did not trust Wu Tang one bit, so it was expected that he was going to make rules to keep her safe.

"You can state them," Xin Yan chuckled.

Li Qiang cleared his throat awkwardly, feeling that he had already been seen through, but he did not allow his embarrassment to show on his face. As a businessman, he was a very thick-skinned person.

"Firstly, I would have guards surrounding the location where you both are to meet, do you agree with that?" He asked as he narrowed his eyes at her. He was not expecting her to disagree, by the way.

"Agreed," she nodded, and a smile blossomed on his face.

He continued laying out his conditions, and Xin Yan found each one of them to be bearable, so she agreed with it.

"Wait, does Wu Tang expect us to sleep in the same room as his son?" Li Chuxi questioned immediately as she noticed it was getting late, and they had still not come to get Tang Ni.

"I guess so," Li Meimei muttered sleepily, as she yawned loudly before she crawled into the bed, falling asleep immediately.

Li Chuxi smiled at her little sister as she put the duvet over her.

"You care about your sister, I wish I had either a younger or an elder sister," Tang Ni muttered with a bitter smile.

Li Chuxi looked at him, but she ignored him. She was not going to talk to him, not after his father locked the three of them in the same room.
