"Mom, I already said you should not be bothered about it, so please don’t," Lu Wei was seriously not willing to tell her about it.

Mrs. Lu’s smile fell, and she nodded, before saying, "it is fine, I understand, I won’t disturb you about it, you may leave now."

Lu Wei looked at his mom, and his expression soured. He could understand from her expression that she was hurt by his words, but he did not mean to hurt her.

He breathed out, realizing that he had to let her know what he had discussed with Mr. Lu earlier.

Not only that, but he was not willing to cause her to feel anxious, but she would ignore him if he did not, he was stuck between the devil and the Red Sea. There was no telling which he was going to choose.

"Mom, you do I know I love and care about you, I simply do not want you worried, but since you are adamant about knowing what I discussed with him, I will tell you," Lu Wei gave in, he hated seeing a frown on his mother’s face.

"I rejected him, he cannot force me to give up my art, and I explicitly told him I will not take over the company if he wants me to quit acting," Lu Wei answered.

Mrs. Lu nodded, proud that he had taken such a decision.

"It is good that you can stand your ground, if you do not like something, do not do it, nobody can force you to stop doing what you like simply because of another reason, I am proud you took this step," Mrs. Lu held his face, she was extremely proud of him.

"I thought you would be mad at me, which is why I did not want to tell you about it, I know you have always wanted me to take over the company as you consider it to be my right, I hope I have not let you down," Lu Wei stated, his eyes had lost its luster.

It turns out, this was the reason he was scared to tell her. He thought he had disappointed her, and he was unwilling to let a frown appear on her face.

"You should not be scared to tell me, I might have always wanted you to take over the company, and that is because you are deserving of it, but if it costs you what you like doing, then I will not accept it, you are my top priority," Mrs. Lu said to him with a smile, her words were a calming effect.
