Rebirth: The unfavored Princess is the Tyrant King's favorite-Chapter 52: Let me in
In the next moment, he pressed his body down on hers, and his lips pressed against hers in a bruising kiss.
Pain... Luciana felt as if her lips were going to bleed from how roughly he was kissing her as he tried to gain entrance into her mouth. All the memories of his roughness from her previous life came back again, and her body became as stiff as a chunk of wood.
Nicholas stopped kissing her and combed his hands through his long hair in frustration.
"Let me in," he demanded.
"No," Luciana stubbornly said.
"You slapped me, and I didn’t slap you back; it’s my turn now. Why are you resisting?" He asked in agitation.
"It’s because you are forcing me; I don’t like being forced into doing something like this," she said.
"I wouldn’t force you if you stopped resisting and decided to let me in," he said, and Luciana didn’t even want to say anything again. He would have a reason to justify his actions anyway.
"Didn’t you miss me when you woke up and didn’t find me by your side?" He asked. He had brought new maids and additional guards to her courtyard. He even left a note for her to meet with him at the meadows behind the palace. He had thought that would at least make her think about him in his absence, but look what he saw upon his return.
"I don’t know," Luciana said. She had missed him after having that dream and had wanted to see him then, but look at how he was treating her after he returned.
"You don’t know?" He asked, and then a thoughtful expression crossed his face, and he stared at her.
"Could it be that you wished I would stay even longer so that you could finally escape?" He asked, and Luciana stared at him with widened eyes.
"I have been treating you gently all this while, but you always try to bring out the worst in me. Tell me, Luciana, how should I punish you for your numerous sins?" He added.
"You didn’t treat me gently," Luciana answered.
"If I say I’ve been gentle with you, it’s because that’s the truth; I have never treated any woman the way I treat you," he said, and Luciana nearly rolled her eyes. ’How considerate of him to treat her differently from other women!’
"Or should I refresh your memory? 1. You tried to kill me, and I forgave you. 2,..."
"That’s because you killed my family first!" She exclaimed.
"It’s because they deserved it!" He spat, and Luciana felt like slapping him all over again, if not that she was lying on a bed with him hovering over her and pinning her down with his body. She felt so angry that tears spilled out of her eyes, slipping down the corner of her face. ’Her parents deserved to be killed? Why? Because of their corruption and greed?’
In her past life, she had found out Nicholas had brought in stacks of documents in a box, containing evidence against her father’s misdeeds as a king. It ranged from corruption and high taxes to taking daughters from their parents in exchange for their debts and turning them into prostitutes and sex workers in brothels; in fact, the list was long, but he was her father after all.
Can Nicholas say the emperor of Gloryland was clean with no blemish? There was no king without skeletons in their cupboard, so why did he have to kill them?
Nicholas saw the emotions that kept changing on her face and nearly kicked himself in the head. ’Why did he have to bring that up? Now he had ruined the mood. Stupid, stupid Nicholas!" He chided himself, but he decided to be shameless and act nonchalant.
"Don’t try to distract me from counting your misdeeds because there’s no way you are getting out of this. Now let’s add them up, shall we? 2. You left the manor without my permission," he said and smirked when he saw how she glared at him with eyes full of hatred.
"I hate you," she spat, and he chuckled.
"Now, that is a lie; there’s no way you’re not moved by the love I show you."
"Believe what you want," Luciana snapped.
Nicholas just smiled at her actions. She was reacting to his words at least, and he preferred that to her silence. He didn’t care if she hated him; he’d rather have her hate him than not feel any emotions towards him at all.
"Do you remember the first day we met in Serenevale? You were so angry after I bumped into you and asked you to apologize that you cursed at me. To tell you the truth, I had been watching you since you entered the market, and I set my eyes on you. It was love at first sight, Luciana. I didn’t know why, but I wanted to be close to you and see you all the time, and I decided to fake bump into you," he said, and Luciana looked at him in surprise.
She had never known this was what had actually happened; she thought he had been the one not looking where he was going and bumped into her and had asked her to apologize when he was clearly the one at fault.
"That day when I used your refusal to apologize to follow you all around the market trying to get your attention but receiving none of it, I knew I’d never forget you. And I wanted to keep seeing you, so I asked for your name, and do you remember what you said?"
"No," Luciana said.
"Yes, you refused, and I asked you ’why," and do you remember what you said next?" he asked.
"I will not tell you my name just yet. If we meet again, I’ll take it as a sign—I’ll see that fate wants me to tell you my name, and then I’ll tell you," Luciana said, repeating what she had told him at that time.
At that time she had said it because she knew there was no way she was going to see him again. The capital of Serenevale was quite large, and it wasn’t as if he was a seller at the market and would always be there if she escaped from the palace another time.
"And fate made us meet again. It was fate, Luciana; we were meant to be," he said.
But it was a lie; he didn’t tell Luciana’ how he had waited at the city gates, going crazy for days on end without seeing her, just so they could "coincidentally" meet again. He didn’t tell her how he had made it so that she would think it was "fate bringing them together again."
Luciana quietly looked at him after those memories of the past came back to her. He could feel how her stiff body relaxed after his words. It was as if she had accepted her fate.
Nicholas was no angel, and seeing her docile and staring at him like that stirred up his desires. His lips found her neck again, sucking and nibbling on her sensitive spot. His hands caressed and explored her body, leaving a burning sensation in its wake.
Luciana didn’t know when she angled her neck to give him more access, and he did what he knew how to do with such expertise as his tongue continued to lick and suck on the crook of her neck, leaving a trail of kisses on her neck and collarbone, grazing his lips against her ear, slowly biting on it and making her gasp in pleasure.
A feeling of warmth and pleasure coursed through her as she felt a familiar feeling gather within her lower body.
Nicholas stopped and heaved his body away from her, supporting himself on his elbow, and stared at her blushing face as she shyly batted her eyes and averted her eyes from his intense gaze. He could see the confusion on her face, which showed she wanted to know why he stopped. He leaned in again and brought his lips close to her ears,
"I’m going to kiss you, Luciana, and you are not going to resist; you are going to let me in," he whispered and grazed his lips over her cheeks and stopped at the corner of her mouth, his voice sounding hoarse.
"You will be a good girl and let me in, won’t you? Say yes," he added, his grazing against the skin of her lips as he spoke in a low, seductive voice.
"Yes," she breathed. Luciana had to give up at this point; she couldn’t control how her body felt under his touch. She didn’t want to think about any elaborate plans at this moment; she just wanted him to kiss her already.
Nicholas didn’t have to be told twice, and he pressed his lips over hers, instantly gaining access this time around, and dove his tongue into her mouth and intertwined it with her tongue.
Their tongues danced with each other, and the feeling was out of this world. The kiss was not slow; it was ravishing and fiery. It felt as if they were both thirsty and wanted to quench their thirst. Her subtle moans were doing something to Nicholas.
And he wanted her right at that moment. He wanted to make her his woman, to join their bodies together in the most sacred union, something he had wanted to do ever since he set eyes on her. But he knew this was not the right place nor the right time. He needed to treat her gently and tenderly.
But even with all those rational thoughts, he struggled to pull away from the kiss. His desire, lust, and rationality were battling with each other, with no winner in sight. It wasn’t until the knock on the door brought him to his senses,
"Your Highness, please, are you in there?" Adam’s frantic voice said.
