Chapter 1752: The Poison Sect’s Madman

-----

In that split second after the Thousand Poison Master’s death, his furious soul—shattered just like his body—refused to accept defeat.

He had worked so hard for this moment. Yet Maria hadn’t even granted him the chance to speak. She charged and ended him in an instant.

She wasn’t merely ruthless, fast, or efficient.

She was overwhelmingly powerful.

A strength no Player should ever attain in an entire lifetime.

And yet...

Maria had.

"No...! I can’t die here!"

"How?! I was just...!"

"Damn it, damn it, damn it!"

"I didn’t even summon my Demons!"

"Leviathan...! Lord Leviathan! Grant me power...!"

"I sacrifice my soul! Just don’t let me dieeeeee!"

His heart, plummeting from the sky alongside the rest of his body, suddenly beat faster and faster.

Demonic power erupted, engulfing the surrounding area.

Disciples nearby—both the freshly dead and those still alive—were seized by fleshy tendrils sprouting from the floating heart.

A crimson eye opened within it. The heart began reassembling the Thousand Poison Master’s body, forcibly fusing him with the corpses and even the living disciples.

"W-What’s happening—AAAGGH!"

"Sect Master?! Wait...!"

"Damn it! Don’t let those tendrils touch you!"

Poison Sect disciples screamed and fled. Lin Ming, among them, watched in horror as Terion was caught by a tendril.

"Aaaaggh! Father, stop! No!"

The boy cried out as the tendrils dragged him toward monstrous jaws.

"Serve your father well, Terion. Become my nourishment!"

"Bastard...! What kind of monster have you become?! Does the Poison Sect mean nothing to you?!"

Lin Ming roared, charging through the chaos toward his Sect Master.

His needles paralyzed the tendrils attacking him. Sharp daggers sliced through them.

"Terion! Grab my hand!"

"Senior!"

Terion sobbed, pulled toward the gaping maws where sharp fangs already bit into his small legs.

"Noooo! It hurts!"

The boy’s agony fueled Lin Ming’s resolve.

What does it mean to be kind?

He understood now. He would not hesitate.

"HAAAAH!"

Dozens of needles pierced his own body. He transformed into a giant hybrid of human and poison dragon.

With monstrous strength, he tore the tendrils apart, seized Terion, and blasted away on poisonous flames.

TRUUUM!

As they escaped, a massive explosion of Demonic Energy erupted. The fleshy mass that had once been the Thousand Poison Master compacted hundreds of times, reshaping into a humanoid form.

But it no longer resembled a human.

"W-What is this?! What has the Sect Master become?!" Lin Ming gasped, forcing sanity with another poisonous concoction injected into his brain. "T-Terion! Are you okay?!"

"Senior..." Terion looked dazed and in pain, but his wounds regenerated rapidly through fused Vampiric Regeneration enhanced by Ki Flow.

"Here!" Lin Ming injected an anti-pain poison and a regeneration booster. "Drink my blood! It’s not corrupted like the rest!"

He saved the boy’s life, letting him drink from his wrist after reverting to human form. The pain eased.

"What...! What has Father become?!"

"That’s... an abomination...!"

Amid the raging war, the two watched their former Master—a once-feared Immortal—transform.

Red skin covered in blue scales. Enormous demonic wings. A long tail ending in a sea serpent’s face with a single red eye.

"You’re a fine vessel, Thousand Poison Master," the tail hissed in a monstrous voice.

"I am delighted Master has accepted my body as a vessel for his power! Hahahaha! I am invincible now. I will destroy the heavens and shatter the Murim Alliance!" the Thousand Poison Master laughed. Black horns sprouted from his red forehead. Long white hair cascaded to his hips.

His Aura distorted space and time. His Soul surged, opening a portal to his corrupted Immortal Domain—a Demonic Realm.

Hundreds of Demons poured out, cackling as they slaughtered everything in sight, including remaining Poison Sect members.

"Wait, we’re allies!"

"Lord Thousand Poison, please don’t!"

"Control your beasts!"

"He’s not even looking at us!"

"What do we do?! This isn’t...! This wasn’t supposed to happen!"

"Aaaagghh!"

Disciples fled, but many were devoured—flesh and souls alike.

Members of the other sects suffered the same fate. Some became infected with Demon Souls, transforming into Demonic Beings that attacked their former allies.

"We were supposed to be allies!"

"What are you doing, Thousand Poison Master?!"

"Are you betraying the Murim Alliance in these chaotic times?!"

"We’re fighting that Demonic Madwoman!"

Immortals aboard the Nether Harbor Sect’s giant ship roared in fury. Their Martial Intents formed barriers against the burning demonic energy.

"I don’t care! You’re all prey! Die! Everyone will die beneath my power! I will reign supreme over a mountain of corpses... Hahahaha!"

The Thousand Poison Master roared and laughed, shattering the barrier and piercing the massive bone ship. It exploded in a cataclysmic blast.

BOOOM!

Hundreds of disciples perished instantly. Immortals and higher-realm cultivators fled, only to be caught and devoured. Jaws on his chest consumed them before regurgitating powerful Demons.

"He’s gone mad! Completely mad! He’s made a contract with an Archdemon—this fool doesn’t know what he’s unleashed!" the white-robed witch screamed, retreating with her surviving witches. "Run! Run as fast as we can!"

She soared on her broom, but Maria thundered toward her, punching her face and sending her crashing down.

Maria seized the broom, snapped it in half, and pierced the witch’s eyes with both pieces.

"Aaaaaggh! Why?! WHY?!"

The witch screamed in horror and agony.

"All who helped destroy the Blood Demon Sect deserve the suffering you inflicted on innocents!"

Maria punched her gut. Her sword flashed, severing the neck without hesitation. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

SLASH!

Yet, in the next instant, Maria snapped her fingers. The witch—who had died moments ago—regained full health. Her bleeding eyes reformed, glowing like jewels.

She stared in shock. Even her broom evolved into an undead wooden creature.

"What?! Eh? Ah...!"

The descendant of Athena stood beside her, equally stunned. Their fallen disciples rose as undead, forming a new army.

"Welcome to the Ghostly Fist Alliance," Maria said with a cold smile. "You two will prove valuable assets. Now fight for me!"

"Damn it!"

"Ugh!"

Both women charged with their undead forces, clashing against the demons. Explosions of magic, divine sword ki, and spear ki lit the skies.
