Reborn As A Ghost: Time To Build My Undead Army!-Chapter 1751: Humilliated
-----
"Fufu, I’m sorry, but I cannot let you destroy this sect yet. We haven’t learned everything they have to offer us. Well, and vice versa," the white-robed witch said with a confident smirk. Her long black hair waved in the wind as powerful magic circles manifested around her. Colorful runes glowed beautifully.
The poison dragon behind them roared. The Thousand Poison Master emerged from its open jaws, crossing his arms. His muscular, slender body was covered from head to toe in a black, ninja-like robe.
"We meet at last, Maria..." he said. "I’ve heard many things about you... To think even an Archdemon hates you. You must have done some truly insane things."
"An Archdemon, you say?" Maria replied with a light smile. "I know so many that..."
FLASH!
In that instant, the world froze.
An explosion of black lightning erupted from Maria. She vanished.
{Spectral Ghostly Fist Art: Eighth Form – Ghostly Lightning Dragonfly Step}!
Without hesitation, she appeared behind the Thousand Poison Master.
His eyes widened. Beneath his mask, his face twisted in terror.
She manifested a sword from her soul, glowing with false stars born from dreams and overflowing with shadows forged from nightmares.
A ghostly presence intensified within the blade as she swung it down.
Without mercy.
{Spectral Ghostly Fist Art: Ninth Form – Dream-Chasing Star Blade}!
SLAAASH!
A single slash unleashed a wave of corrupted, compressed Void Sword Ki. It cleaved through the Poison Dragon, splitting the gigantic beast in two.
The monster groaned before exploding into particles of light and poisonous fog—a Living Formation of sorts.
The disciples atop it leaped away, but half were bisected. Blood sprayed everywhere.
The Thousand Poison Master screamed as the attack reached him. He jumped barely in time, losing the lower half of his body.
"AAAAAAGGH!"
He stared in horror as his severed torso fell, intestines and organs trailing behind.
He had equipped countless Immortal Artifacts for survival.
He even wore a powerful Demonic Veil for protection.
Yet Maria’s strike cut through everything. She ignored defenses entirely.
"Tell your Archdemon friend to behave... unless he wants me to pay him a visit in Hell."
Maria stepped forward. The buzzing of dragonfly wings echoed through the sky.
Everyone moved to stop her, but to Maria, the world crawled in slow motion.
This movement technique, combined with Dream Soul Spheres fused into her brain to multiply her Thinking Speed, made her untouchable.
"D-Damn it! I couldn’t do a thing—AAACK!"
The Thousand Poison Master tried to transform into a giant poisonous fog monster. His Martial Soul surged to strike her.
Yet...
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
Maria advanced. His body was diced into dozens of pieces, butchered alive before everyone’s eyes.
The Olympus members watched the massacre unfold and rushed to intervene.
Maria glanced back in a split second.
Nine Dream Soul Spheres materialized around her, firing toward them.
"Don’t bother me."
The spheres transformed into Nine Dream Ghosts.
"...?!"
"Wha...?!"
The white-robed witch and the blue-haired warrioress faced three clones of Maria each.
Void sword energy sliced through their magical armor and clothes. Barriers shattered.
"Wait—stop! Aaaggh!"
The white-robed witch screamed. Powerful magic surged from her body as she and her witches desperately formed a potent array using the Darkwood Sect’s giant tree house.
"{Gazing Starlight Dread Tree Formation}!!!"
RUMBLE!
The formation manifested. Maria found herself trapped in a vast dark forest. Thousands of gigantic wooden roots surged from every direction.
"No."
Maria rejected it outright.
BOOOM!
The sheer pressure of her Martial Soul shattered the entire formation before it could harm her.
The witches and several Darkwood Sect members groaned, vomiting blood from the heavy backlash.
"CHARGE!!!"
The blue-haired warrior roared, leading her entire army toward Maria.
Maria smiled and snapped her fingers.
Dozens of giant black portals opened. Her disciples rushed out, clad in nightmarish black armor and wielding strange weapons glowing with starlight.
"Ghostly Fist Alliance! No mercy!"
"HAAAAAHHH!"
Her disciples and family roared in unison, clashing against the disorganized armies still reeling from the events of the last ten seconds.
Then.
Maria swung her sword, reaching the blue-haired warrior.
The woman’s divine senses triggered a fraction earlier. She evaded, but her helmet shattered and her long ponytail was severed.
"Monster! What are you?!"
The warrior roared, channeling divine power and cultivated strength into a massive wave of blue sword ki and divinity from her blade.
Maria advanced, turning into black lightning and vanishing.
She reappeared at the woman’s left side.
{Spectral Ghostly Fist Art: Third Form – Soul-Chasing Ghostly Viper}!
Maria’s hands overflowed with phantasmal energies, fusing with her sword. The blade transformed, moving like a serpent.
"HISSSS!"
The viper hissed ferociously, coiling around the woman while stabbing her repeatedly.
She was like Diomedes—exceptionally hardy with high regeneration.
Maria gave her no chance to breathe or unleash any technique.
"AAAAAGH!"
The woman screamed in agony, vomiting blood as potent curses covered her body.
"A-Athena...! Lady Athenaaaaa!"
She clutched her necklace. Divine Power erupted, fusing with her Martial Soul to manifest a starlight version of Athena wielding spear and shield.
"Hahhh..."
Maria sighed. Her Martial Soul surged. A giant goddess of bones clashed against the warrior’s manifestation.
Explosions of divinity and void erupted. Maria, growing bored of the struggle, gathered all her power into the tip of her sword.
She unleashed her new technique.
{Spectral Ghostly Fist Art: Tenth Form – Soul-Shattering Ghostly Scorpion Sting}!
A giant scorpion formed from nightmare energy, ghostly ki, and shadows materialized. Maria’s sword pierced the woman’s chest and heart.
CLAAASH!
"Gaaaahhh?!"
Like a scorpion’s strike, the woman felt her heart stop. A massive hole tore through her soul.
Maria swiftly severed the head to ensure death, then seized the necklace to examine later.
"Two down."
She turned to the white-robed witch, whose face twisted in despair as everything crumbled around her.
"Arise—hm?"
Maria’s expression shifted in surprise. The blue-haired woman transformed into a Divine Zombie of terrifying power.
No... it wasn’t that Maria noticed a corpse she killed failing to rise.
Her powers hadn’t affected it.
Or rather...
TRUUUM!
An overwhelming explosion of Demonic Power erupted. Space and time shattered, distorting into chaos.
