Chapter 51: Chapter 51 Search_1

Zhong Mingyang crawled out of the bushes and began explaining to Shangguan You. He was puzzled; he had no idea where the young lady had been hiding just moments before. It seemed as though she had vanished into thin air. freёnovelkiss.com

Shangguan You nodded and then asked a question that surprised Zhong Mingyang.

"Where does Long Hua live?"

"Ah, why does Your Ladyship ask this? Long Hua is always surrounded by many people protecting him. It’s very hard to get close to him. Your Ladyship, Long Hua is essentially the top dog in B City, not an easy target like the small fries from the Zhongyi Gang. It’s better not to take the risk. Moreover, Long Hua is on good terms with Chu Yi of the Feihu Gang. The Feilong Gang and the Feihu Gang are practically brother gangs, and the two of them are very close friends. Provoking one is like provoking both. We currently don’t have the strength to confront both gangs. It’s best to keep a low profile for now."

After learning Long Hua’s villa location from Zhong Mingyang, Shangguan You immediately parted ways with him, speeding off. She cared little for the Feilong Gang or the Feihu Gang; she would gather information first and then decide whether to act.

Lights blazed in two villas halfway up Mingyue Mountain. Numerous black-clad men carrying guns patrolled continuously, while far-infrared surveillance beams intermittently scanned the area outside. Shangguan You’s white silhouette swiftly vanished into space and moved into one of the villas.

"Hahaha, that Luo Tong fellow certainly is persistent; he still hasn’t given up," a hearty laugh emanated from a room.

"Hmph, if it weren’t for his connections over there, I would’ve made him disappear from the police station long ago. How dare he be so brazen!" Long Hua scoffed. "If it weren’t for those minor connections of Luo Tong’s, we wouldn’t have tolerated him tailing us again and again. A guy like that? I’d have tossed him into the sea to feed the fish long ago!"

"That kid is a stubborn one. If we could win him over, it would be nothing but beneficial to us," said a man in a warm, magnetic voice.

In the steam-filled room, two exceptionally attractive men were lounging. A large pool, a natural hot spring diverted indoors to serve as a bath, billowed steam.

Both men, with only towels wrapped around their waists, leaned lazily against the pool’s edge, their robust bodies submerged in the steaming water. Glistening beads of water slid over their skin, leaving shimmering droplets on their toned physiques.

Their hair was damp, clinging casually to their faces as water trickled down. Their handsome faces—one gentle, the other devilishly charming—were flushed faintly red from the hot spring’s warmth.

One of the men was Long Hua. The other, who had a gentle face and a constant smile, was Chu Yi.

"If he could be won over, we would’ve done it already, instead of waiting until now with him constantly on our tail," Long Hua said, deftly flicking water from his hair with a casual yet surprisingly captivating motion.

"That kid... he’s not bad. Out of consideration for his connections, we should leave him a way out and not be too harsh. As long as his actions don’t seriously threaten our interests, we can turn a blind eye," Chu Yi replied, a faint smile still playing on his lips. He wore gold-rimmed glasses, looking every bit the cultured, polite boy-next-door with a reassuring smile. No one meeting him would believe he was Chu Yi, B City’s top drug lord.

"Boss, a call for you," the hacker said respectfully, handing over the phone. They had just completed a transaction; what could be the purpose of another call from that party so soon?

"Who’s calling?" Long Hua asked lazily as he took the phone. "Ah, it’s the esteemed client we just dealt with."

"Mm, understood," Long Hua said, waving a hand for the hacker to leave. Could there be a problem with the transaction they just completed?

"Mr. Long, all the goods on our cruise ship... they’ve vanished into thin air!" a blond man’s voice, tinged with panic and impatience, came over the line in heavily accented Mandarin.

"Eh? Vanished? Mr. Luo Dahua, are you sure?" Long Hua frowned. How could that be possible? The cruise ship has already sailed out to sea. How could all the goods be taken without alerting anyone? This must be a joke!

"The goods were in the cargo hold, and the door was guarded the entire time. No one went in or out, but the goods just inexplicably vanished," Luo Dahua’s voice conveyed shock and disbelief.

"Mr. Luo Dahua, I’ll look into this for you. However, you must understand that what you’re describing sounds rather far-fetched; we may not find a resolution," Long Hua said before hanging up, a wicked smile playing on his lips. Did Luo Dahua really lose the goods, or is he just trying to cause me trouble?

"On the vast ocean, a lone cruise ship, and dozens of boxes of cargo vanish from its hold without a trace. Chu Yi, do you think it’s possible?" Long Hua tossed the phone aside and casually asked Chu Yi.

"It’s not entirely impossible," Chu Yi replied, adjusting his glasses, a slight smile on his lips. "Does the ship’s cargo hold have windows? Perhaps someone threw all the goods into the sea through them. That way, it could have been done completely unnoticed."

In her space, Shangguan You cultivated her Spiritual Energy while listening to the two foxes’ conversation. For Chu Yi, she’d even come up with a fitting nickname: Smiling Tiger. He could even think of such a method; although it was far from the truth, it was impressive he could conceive of it. No wonder he managed to expand his drug business to such a scale.

Such talent... it would be a real shame not to use it. Listening to the two continue discussing internal gang matters and proposing solutions, Shangguan You became even more convinced she had to recruit them. But how to make them her own? The question troubled her once more.

She could use the Loyalty Curse, but she wanted them to follow her willingly, wholeheartedly.

"Have you heard about the Qing Gang?" Chu Yi asked casually, though the deeper meaning in his words was clear only to Long Hua.

"Naturally. That small gang is quite formidable. In a short time, they’ve swallowed up the Zhongyi Gang, the Tiger Gang, and even other significant gangs have been incorporated into the Qing Gang. I believe it won’t take many years for the Qing Gang’s achievements to rival our own."
